    Cayley, I've had to list a couple items as tunic top/dress. And I felt kind of embarrassed doing so, thinking I should've known which it was. So I laughed when I heard you admit that you can't always tell which it is, either. (Edited to add: I very much appreciate your bread and butter videos, as these are mostly what I come across, and your videos teach me more brands to watch for.)

    I ordered some poly mailers using your link from Jiaropack the last time you did a sponsored video from them and I just wanted to say I was very impressed. Their poly mailers are great and their customer service is excellent. I had a small issue with my order and they quickly made it right for me. Very professional and kind. I will be ordering more from them when I start to run low again. Highly recommend.

    I buy off eBay don’t use the others much. I love Zara, free People, quince, anthropology, and Talbots. I mostly buy tops. I buy my pants new. Since I know most things are sourced from under 10 dollars I don’t like to pay over 30. I like that you show the clothing on hangers and steamed. It shows you are caring for the clothing

    Hi Cayley! An another great video! Couple of questions. Firstly, when you talk about price point in this video, is that the price you are listing at or is that the price you intend to sell at? I want to be sure I’m pricing my closet appropriately and not going too high, but still leaving room for buyer negotiation. Secondly, how do you go about finding a wholesaler that is trustworthy and provides you great brands like you’re showing in this video. Appreciate your insights!

    I buy (for myself) and sell COS quite a bit and make good money from it. Reason being, I ONLY pick up new styles with the white label and brand in large font. The piece you showed is quite old (the black and grey labels signify it's at least four years old) and folks who love COS tend to look for the newer styles/label.

    Have you done a video on the Wholesale buying, including approximate prices, you keep talking about? Is it cost effective to look into if you only buy 200 -300 pieces a month? Do you actually get to "pick out" your items you want to buy in bulk wholesale on a video call? This sounds so interesting! But I do love the sourcing part so not sure it would fit for me but still interested to understand it more.

    Historically- plus sized clothing is the best selling category, in my 20+ years experience as a clothing seller on ebay.
    It’s not my fave section to go through at the thrift store though, and sometimes I skip it. Perhaps if I was plus size I would find it more exciting. I enjoy looking at my size clothing S/M.
    I wish I was more passionate about the plus sized stuff, I am sure my sales would improve if I had more of it in my ebay store.

    • @cayleyelaine

      Sometimes it's better to not have an emotional attachment because then you can make better sourcing decisions based on comp numbers only.

    • @SongsbyCharleneApril
      @SongsbyCharleneApril 5 місяців тому

      @@cayleyelaine True! I often find myself sourcing only items I really like and I am passionate about (instead of considering each person/shopper has their own style preference), which may not be the same as mine. Luckily it’s easy for me to let the pieces I source go (to a new home) I rarely keep anything for myself. I just find it way more fun to picture and list items when I love the style aesthetic. Listing items I am not passionate about feels like hard work. 😆

      @cayleyelaine I've listed around 120 items over the last week and a half... I've noticed a theme where my better items will get 1 view with 1 watcher within the first few hours, then the item seemingly goes dormant for days.. also not selling very many of the items I list right away. The discouraging part for me isn't so much the sales, but the traffic. Always feels like I'm putting in a lot of work with no results 🤔

    • @cayleyelaine
      @cayleyelaine  5 місяців тому +1

      @DawsonsDiggins not sure if you follow a 100% str model but even with that model it usually takes an item an average of 90 days to sell. With that in mind, a lot of items don't sell the same week or even the same month. Realistically when you start listing items it can take awhile even if they are great items. I would try not to focus on scrutinizing your numbers when you just listed them.

There we are working with our members on live calls and can chat about this situation. One thing I noticed is that you mentioned you are trying to sell vintage hard goods on poshmark. That's not really a platform with a lot of buyers for that market. I'd consider trying to sell those on ebay if you think they are desirable items. Hi! That's the price I'm going to list it for. We do not turn on best offer but we do send out offers to watchers. I price according to market and do not build in room for offers. All of my wholesalers reached out to me. So I recommend telling everyone what you do! You will eventually come across someone who finds being your wholesaler mutually beneficial. I'm not sure if you've watched the wholesale interview I did with my wholesalers Shelly, but it answers a lot of questions and she drops the link to her Facebook group that connects buyers to wholesalers:
