How to make a catlimba

  • In this video I make a kalimba in the shape of a cat. I made it out of mahogany wood.

    It sounds awesome. It sounds so awesome I think it should be plugged into a bass amplifier, a subwoofer, a PA system or a mixer.

    I do wish you showed the traditional method for those who don’t have a cnc machine, but overall great work! I thought using the bandsaw blade as the keys (prongs? I’m not sure what you call those) was super inventive!

      Thank you. If you don't have a CNC you can do it on the bandsaw like a bandsaw box. But you'll have to make it in three pieces. Back, body and top! You can use the vector files of the CNC as templates. I hope I helped!

    Great project, and lovely finish. You actually do not need a cnc machine or a lathe to make this, but it sure helps
