  • An in-depth look at the Evolution Rage 4 Chop Saw. A look at the machine including the accuracy of the cuts and a demonstration of the saw cutting different materials. This machine is a little gem and great value for money. Ideal fro tradesman including plumbers and electricians; as well as home workshops like mine.

Nice on Russell. I'll never use one of these but I am enjoying the Evolution saw I purchased to build our fence up here in the Peak District. Am not doing too bad for a computer chap. Many thanks mate. Keep them coming.

How would I set up a stop to cut several 100 pieces of 2" long 1/2" steel tubing?

Clamp the saw to the work bench and make sure it will not move. Find a wooden off cut that is higher than the base to place next to it. Make sure it will stop the steel tubing if it is pushed past the blade. Slide the wood until it is two inches from the saw blade and clamp it securely. :-)

What sort of mitre saw were you using to cut steel before? I'm assuming a standard mitre saw designed for wood, how did it go? This little saw is available in Australia, but I have a mitre saw and would like to get specific angles and not be limited.

I used an Evolution Mitre Saw. I have several reviews of the Evolution range if you want to have a look. :-)

I have sent an email to Evolution Power Tools asking if it is possible to send a Rage 4 to Morocco. I will let you know when they reply. It will probably be tomorrow. :-)

Unfortunately, there are no retailers who ship Evolution tools to Morocco.

Dont waste your money, 11 cuts through 30mm box section and the blade was completely useless

I had an issue with mine cutting rebar and ended up fitting a diamond blade. :-)

@@RussellPlatten I have an Evolution circular saw which cuts steel plate. Same size blade so I tried that and it's much better. I see I can try a mild steel specific blade it's another 50 quid mind.
