I’ve shot em with 22, air rifle, shotgun, even my 6.5 lol but can’t say I ever really go out specifically hunting for them it’s always more of target of opportunity while already out for other things!
@@OutdoorsAnonymousballistically a 22lr at 200 yards is the same as a 308 at 1000 yards. That why many long range 308 shooters will have a 22lr setup that matches.
Yup pretty close to that’s right. I shoot matches with both 22lr and my 6.5 not a 308 though and the drop at 1000 for my 6.5 is the same as around 230yds on the 22. When you shoot those distances pretty often though they get easier!
Looked like a good day till the road was gone!! Sorry to see that my friend!
Totally lol was a heck of a way to end a great day 🤦🏻♂️😂
Ah manitoba where scouting the road is harder than scouting prey 😂
🤣🤣🤣
You ever hunt snowshoe hares with a 22?

@@OutdoorsAnonymous nice I always used an air rifle till I got 22 but there still one of my favorite things to hunt
Nice, yeah actually would be pretty fun trying some “long range” 22 shots on em in a field!

Why? Let them fatten up over the summer.
They’re plenty fat enough over here and the lots to go around year round.
@@OutdoorsAnonymous my mistake. I didn't know spring was considered the harvest season. I thought it was in the fall.
No worries, yeah Depends on the species, these guys are year round harvestable!
