For a nice wide angle, I really like my Tokina 12-24 f4 dxIII. Very sharp, and the constant aperture will allow you to shoot in lower light no matter what zoom range you are in. Unlike most kit lens that lose light as zoom in.
To your upgraded "EDC" watchband add the button compass by Suunto from REI. My Go-To knife is the SOG Trident in TiNi black with the seatbelt cutter. Do not need to open the knife to cut twine on bales of hay so do not have the cut up hands like "Nutnfancy" of a famous UA-cam channel. Also the knife is set up for left hand carry and sit low in the knife/phone pocket of the 5.11 Tact pant. Thank you for a great video ! tjl PS Add a Fresnel Lens to the wallet to start fires and read the micro print on the info sheet of the Fire Kit.
Love that wallet. I have one in mahogany. I am a recovering Costanza wallet addict. Switching to such a minimal style has helped my sanity, and my lower back!
Excellent EDC video. My choice for flashlight that fits on my keyring is the Thru Nite Tis with 4 settings = firefly, medium, high (120 lumens) & a hidden strobe. When on the 'high' position, it'll light up a parking lot or check a street address from the road. My knife is a Boker Automatic Kalashnikov 1/2 serrated, which I clip to my pants & hang my keys from that. Phone = iPhone 5 S, which has the iOS 9.2.1 software. Pen has 1 of those soft tips for easy touch screen access. Watch is a Seiko square Tank watch with the Roman Numerals. These new watches that are the size of a kitchen clock are just too cumbersome.
Great video! I also CCW the P938 in a pocket and IWB holster, in my case, an RKBA (pocket) and Crossbreed horsehide (IWB). I carry a spare magazine in a ballistic nylon Skinth pocket organizer, which is similar in function to your Scout pocket sheath. I enjoyed seeing our similarities in that regard. Cheers.
Great EDC load out. Kershaw Leek is a classic, seems like all knife folks will have one at some point. I'd love to see them do a Leeks with a Skyline construction (Linerless G10 Scale side). Tactile Turn pen is in my load out as well. I've been very happy with it. Keep up the great work in 2016.
I enjoyed that update love edc. Gotten a Fenix E25UE as my other fenix has been "borrowed" must say I recommend you take a look at the E25UE as it produces 1000 lumens off of 2 AA batteries the tech on torches is going leaps and bounds which is exciting. much appreciate this channel. best wishes for you and your family in the new year!
Nice carry and video! The Beta QR-v2 and Sapphire 25 GS are 2 of my favorite flashlights too :D! I have the brass qrv2 though. Do you not like the low mode? It has a great runtime of 55 hours instead of just 4 hours for medium.
i like the leek and carry it everyday at work. i havent broken the tip yet so maybe thats why haha. i like how thin and solid it feels so to me its great. kind of want to disable the lock cuz usually when i go to flip it open its locked. that powerbank is pretty cool. i personally have had great luck with anker and carry the astro e3 in my backpack but ive thrown it in my pocket with my phone (galaxy s5) and it gets a little warm when charging but it has 10,000mah and 2 ports. it charges my devices quickly. that zt is a nice knife!
Andrew, have you thought about a nice set of headphones? Earbuds, or on ear? I find a good pair a necessary item for every day use. Loud environments, quite ones, and for when you don't want people to bother you. Essential item for me.
Great comment! I've got some basic earbuds at work, but I've been wanting to pick up some Grados for some more serious on the go listening! I have Kiplish speakers at home, too. I'd really enjoying becoming an audiophile if I had the time and cash to get into it...
I liked your selections that weren't so directed at some sort of self defense or out and out CQC combat. IMO, not every emergency we will encounter will involve any kind of confrontation other than the situation itself. I live in Oklahoma and stand a much higher chance of not being able to get home due to severe weather, rather than someone meaning me harm.. Anyway, thanks for the video.
What type of cable are you using for your key chain. I had a similar cable that I bought from County Comm. However, it had the habit of comin undone and I lost items off from my keyring. My son had the same cable and the same thing happened to him.
I'm not a knife collector, I'm a knife user, and I may end up in the woods at any time, so I never EDC a single-bladed flip knife. They're all as useless as teats on a boar in the kind of bushcraft or survival I do. Even a slip joint with one blade won't do the job. Since I may be in the woods without notice, I need a pocketknife with more than one blade to do the kind of carving it takes to survive in the wild, so that's what I EDC. Two blades minimum, and three, as with a Stockman, is better still. I don't use gun oil on my knives because any of them may be used to process food in a pinch, and gun oil tastes like crap. I use olive oil or mineral oil. But, man, you have some wonderful EDC things. I even like the worry stone, though I gave up trying to carry one because I've lost all I owned. I don't have trouble losing anything else, but I can't keep a worry stone.
love your videos man, finally got into the edc game. watch = timex scout, cheap but god damn do i love this watch, CCW = Sig Sauer sp2022 w/inforce apl and threaded barrel, flashlight = bushnell 100 lumen clip light and knife is a gerber FAST assisted 3.8
I'd like to know how you use your knife. I EDC a Victorinox Tinker that has a lot of utility in IT and everyday work and it seems limiting to have just one knife blade. Sincerely curious and thanks.
A nice well done video. I have a Bambino myself, a lovely very affordable watch. Quick question, is this EDC concept solely an American thing? I don't know anyone over here that carries more than their wallet, phone and keys? Please note, this is no way a negative or anti American question, I am just curious.
Great question Stewart. I honestly don't know if it's just American or not. The guys that I've learned the most from are Americans or Canadians though. Cheers, Andrew
what kind of shorts/pants do you guys wear? the monster key chains and multiple knives and flashlights plus handgun and extra mag! not to mention your phone in the huge case and your med kit and water purification system..... you guys carry a purse don't you
billyank1864 its like a seat belt you make kids wear them right? it doesnt mean they're gonna be in a car wreck but you take the precaution. some are afraid yes but most guys carry because they know its their moral duty to have a gun when other sheep around him are too arrogant to accept the 1 in a milliom chance that they can change the game of a deadly force scenario.
billyank1864 and are you saying that the military is afraid that law enforcement is afraid? because everyone knows thats not he case. its to protect and serve.
Why are these videos so strangely relaxing?
Good question!

Awesome, thanks for the tip!
The scout leather and bambino got my attention. I'll be ordering both soon. Thanks for sharing!
Nice-- happy hunting!
ZT is the best production knife maker in existence; Everything they make is perfection embodied. Also, kudos on the Omega, they're fantastic.
+Jeremy Madsen thanks!
They were, until Spartan Blades came on the scene.

Great tips Tim, and thanks for commenting

I think it will, happy New Years!
Your videos are a real joy to watch. Keep up the good work in 2016.
Glad to have you here!
Great video. I'd love to see a video of what your current watch collection looks like. (in addition to th eHamilton and the constellation, of course)
Cool thanks for the suggestion!
Love that wallet. I have one in mahogany. I am a recovering Costanza wallet addict. Switching to such a minimal style has helped my sanity, and my lower back!

Glad to hear you got a good EDC figured out, thanks a lot for watching!

Great set up, I hear great things about those crossbreed holsters! Cheers!
some people just have dope stuff to show and tell...glad we took this game into our adult lives
Haha yep
Great and honest EDC video to start the new year. I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos! :)
Thanks Claus! Glad to have you here!
Great video Andrew, great production value as well. I've been needing to do an EDC video for some time now.
Thanks Auston, trying to chip away at the production values. Consider this my formal request for that video :)
That ZT is amazing.
It's pretty sweet! Cheers, Andrew
great video you actually have some really good ideas. So many guys with the same old shit. Love the quality of your gear. that stuff will last forever
Thanks! Always seems worth it for quality.
Great EDC update! A lot of good/useful gear to have on you and I can't really disagree with anything. I particularly like that Hamilton!
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
That would be an awesome model-- maybe a GP knives exclusive? Thanks for your support and be in touch if you want to do a collaboration!
the detail you go into with your pens. I just go with the spacepen from the dollar tree
Chill video. Nice work.
Appreciated Jacob! Cheers, Andrew
A great video show casing tried and tested gear. Thanks for sharing, cheers.
Thanks for watching Bob, cheers!

Great video man, keep it up!
Thanks Alex! -Andrew
Really nice watch mate
Thanks!
A very enjoyable video of your EDC Thanks and good luck.
Glad you liked it, best wishes!

Thanks a lot for watching. I'm just not a fan of the weight of brass on my keychain... I do like the three modes tho!

that zt is a nice knife!
Good stuff, thanks for commenting!
great EDC video. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by!
Nice edc video. What happened to your casey lynch pry bar? Did you get rid of it? Just wondering...
+shtf4867 still got it! Carry it occasionally still.

555, ever checked out the Casio Edifice's? This one in particular? Casio Edifice EQS-A500B-1AV Would love to hear your take. Thanks!
Good watches! If you like the style go for it!
Very nice EDC!
Oooh the Techno. I've almost bought it so many times!!
Definitely a keeper for me now!

That's a Vigilant Gear aircraft cable... I believe I got it on Amazon. This one stays locked up decently well
Thanks!
I gave my Leak Damascus to one of my neighbors for xmas. Never really carried it around.
Well that was a nice present!

I love my SteathGear AIWB. I wouldn't even consider another appendix carry holster.
Need an update of these shinny and glinky stuff!
Some great items ! Im in. Canada. So my. Edc. Is a. Lot. Diff !
What are you carry in these days? Thanks for watching!
I'd like to know how you use your knife. I EDC a Victorinox Tinker that has a lot of utility in IT and everyday work and it seems limiting to have just one knife blade. Sincerely curious and thanks.
would that Sig Sauer fit in an Ankle Holster sort of like Sonny Crockett used the Detonics Combatmaster.
It would for me but it would really depend on your ankle size/pant looseness
great video 👍
hi any chance you could do an review on scurfa diver one SS?
I don't have one in my collection, but I will look into them!
Thanks you should definitely check it out.Really nice watch for the money.

Your first flashlight looks very similar to lumintop's worm
Steven Specht that's exactly what I was thinking
No notepad? Firestarter?
Every day carry not a survival kit
Every day is survival, son.
Wow a youtuber in Iowa. I didn't think anyone here knew what youtube was.
what kind of shorts/pants do you guys wear? the monster key chains and multiple knives and flashlights plus handgun and extra mag! not to mention your phone in the huge case and your med kit and water purification system..... you guys carry a purse don't you

Excellent idea
Would you trade the Spyderco techno for 50 bux plus a new Thrunite TN40. It's a 250$ flashlight. I'll ship to u first
nice wallet!!!
Onsider everyday holsters
That's not a slip joint
Sorry to break it to you but " like glass" is used everywhere not just your family
Probably missing a bag .... ;-)
Why do all EDC vids have a gun...what are you afraid of?
Has nothing to do with fear. More like exercising freedom and responsibility.
billyank1864 afraid of people like your dumb ass getting killed for that kind of thinking
Pool Dead I have lived 46 years and never once needed a gun...is that dumbass thinking or are you just afraid to admit you are afraid of something?
billyank1864 its like a seat belt you make kids wear them right? it doesnt mean they're gonna be in a car wreck but you take the precaution. some are afraid yes but most guys carry because they know its their moral duty to have a gun when other sheep around him are too arrogant to accept the 1 in a milliom chance that they can change the game of a deadly force scenario.
