When I was messing about filming this part I never would have thought that it would cause such a divide in the audience. I guess I'd better return that Ouija Board then...
How funny it was only last night I watched a horror film called Ghost Ship. I can’t remember if it was on Netflix or prime. Can’t wait for the Halloween vlog 👻
My wife and I love watching your content - but I feel this was well below the standard you normally create to - specifically that ghost section. Just seemed out of place and there to make the video longer. IMO be yourself, don't add the wacky ghost stuff, and also, go back to your old thumbnails! For us who watch on our smart tv, we don't see the date from UA-cam - your old thumbnails made it obvious what video it was, but at the mo we're like "Have we watched this or?". Great content, but slipping away from what we want to see - more of the ship, more of the entertainment and more of you!
I appreciate your honesty and feedback regarding my content. I think it's obvious that this series has been an experiment from my usual content, mainly shorter-form videos and less of the "talking head" stuff as people have requested before. My main concern was falling into the "vlogging trap". After a while, all the videos begin to feel the same and that was definitely the feeling I got when editing. I'm now thinking that a middle ground between the two styles would be better, a lesson learnt. So the thumbnails were changed as part of the redesign of the channel. The titles were very generic, the thumbnails were just a mash-up of screenshots of the video, whereas the content was more light-hearted. It almost confused people as they were expecting a more serious video and then being disappointed by me trying to make jokes. I would hope that the thumbnails convey a single message that reflects the theme of the video, although it appears this isn't something you agree with? Yes the date was removed purely to allow room for the title of the video, but I have retained the day number in the thumbnail to help people follow in order. So I apologise for the ghost hunting segment. I'll admit this was more added for my own benefit. For the longest time I've wanted to make a ghost hunting parody as I was a big fan of the shows back in the day. This video is what I would call the "goofy" one of the series. Last series Gibraltar was my goofy one, the video after this is the "cinematic" one. I was well aware of the nine sea days on this cruise and maintaining the same style would make the videos pretty much identical, apart from a few things. Maybe I overthought it. Maybe I'm being too creative. But I do appreciate your feedback with this. I have already decided that my next series in Feb will be different from this one and hopefully will continue to entertain you down the line.

That's alright, it's strange as being a content creator for a while I rarely have any conversations about the content so I do appreciate it. Not that I could ever please everyone but it helps make a more informed decision! Thanks for your continued support!
