You HAVE to react to more Periphery! This song is definitely a little more on their chaotic side, but they have such a range of styles musically and vocally. Each member of the band is extremely talented. They have some songs that are more straight forward, not as technical, but they also have a lot of other songs like this one that are just mind bogglingly all over the place. I would recommend Blood Eagle, Reptile (just under 17 mins long, but it's incredible and a journey) and Satellites. I was laughing at your reaction to the song changes, so good! 😂
My first periphery experience was "icarus lives" back in 2010. They're old school badasses. I recommend starting all the way back and hearing their evolution. Good stuff, great reaction
I do find it funny how kinda like, old they are hahaha, they're all pushing 40 now and bulb has been around since like 2003. I love that they are old but still SO relevant

Zagreus is the other single they released off of their 5th album, and it was released the same day as Wildfire. Periphery has been around for over a decade, and they have been pioneers in the Djent guitar play style as well as in progressive metal.

In some ways they're a lot like Sleep Token in that they won't fit a genre. Completely different style but same mindset. Like Sleep Token they've been knocking my socks off. If you want to see what else they can do, check out Lune. They did the impossible there, making 13 year old daughter and Dad agree, hell both groove to it. Great reaction!
@@fscorpion678 As a huge Periphery fan, I don’t think I’d go that far lol. For the djent movement absolutely, but saying that essentially every modern metal band is influenced by Periphery is overselling their impact on the scene a bit

Periphery have been the Kings for a long time in prog metal, it's awesome more people are being exposed to them and we get new bands like Sleep Token carrying the legacy
You know the floorgasm, but at the end of Peripherys track "Ragnarok" there's a Sotelgasm....I guess.(vocalist name Spencer Sotelo) Check it out and be blown away by what this one voice can do :)
Zagreus is another new track from these guys. If you've ever played Hades you'll appreciate this one, plus it just sounds dope. My favorite song by them
Satellites was the first periphery song I listened to and i was immediately in love. After that, I got into other songs like Flatline and Marigold. Tesseract introduced me to metal and Periphery was what really got me hooked. Also, PLEASE listen to Zagreus. It's really a masterpiece.
Plenty of people are going to say Reptile and Satellites, but there are a lot of flavors of Periphery and if you to start with more digestible stuff first, you should try Stranger Things, Scarlet, or Absolomb. But this band made me a metalhead for good reason. So much great music for you to check out.

Reptile/Alpha/Omega for pure epicness; Icarus Lives/Marigolds/Absolomb for awesome main riffage; It's only Smiles/Satellites for Emotional Damage™️; and Maramusa/Ragnarok/Masamune for being the Holy Trinity. Edit: when I say "every song ... is good on its own merit" I'm not necessarily referring to Crush.

You mean Sleep Token is a lot like them. Periphery essentially created the modern metal scene.
