MC5 live at Sturgis Armory, MI June 27, 1968 Upper Egypt is a song by Pharoah Sanders they added lyrics by John Sinclair, they were all listening to lots of free jazz and played with Sun Ra and the Art Ensemble of Chicago on bills.
thx for posting...very familiar with their music as I frequented grande ballroom and east town theater....never heard this or their later musical directions..........heavy!!!
It’s from one of their live gigs . Never recorded in studio from what I’ve read. Unfortunate for that , but this garage Lofi delivery is one of their best🤘
They broke up in 1972 or ‘73. I’m no expert but ego got in the way early on . Kramer did time in san Quentin . Rob did solo work through to his untimely passing in ‘91. It is what it is . Rock on 🤘
