'Smoke' is more wonderful than quirky, IMHO. If you want quirky I recommend the sequel, 'Blue in the Face'. Madonna makes an appearance but, not even she can spoil it! If you don't like wonderful, you can watch the ending of the film (this song) here on YT. Just look out for the black and white photo of the blind, black lady - it's lovely.

I really don't understand disliking this. The opening commentary, the song itself, the soul behind it all, what's not to like?! It's as if Tom Waits lives in this odd space where everything is just that much better. Nothing quite gets me like Mr. Waits' music.
