This may have been the most "Magic" moment from Johnson's career for me. HIV/AIDS was so misunderstood and scary then, people were afraid to shake hands with AIDS patients. Everyone was sure he'd be dead within a year or two (heck, Freddie Mercury died the day after telling the world he was poz), for him to come out and perform so well, and with such good humor, was a much needed morale boost for my generation. And to think he's still alive and healthy today, still flashing that great smile!

I remember watching this ASG. I was 12. It’s 100% the only game ever where I was rooting against Mike. That was my dude.😤 But this game was something special. And is the perfect game to try to explain to someone why I love this sport. I hope that makes sense to someone out there? To me it does… The 80’s & ‘90’s were just different sports wise IMO. They just were.😤🤷🏻♂️
