Talking about the statement Feldbergs left in this tournaument. Hopefully he gets a shot in NHL! Either way, gratz to our dear neighbours Sweden! See you in the semis 🇫🇮🤜🤛🇸🇪
You wouldn’t think a game where you out outshoot the other team 50 - 13 would be that tense. But god damn, Sweden got a real scare in that third period.
Next its gonna be 🇫🇮vs🇸🇪. I would have liked this to happen in the finale. This will definitely be a nice game and one will leave smiling and the other bitter. In any case, whoever gets to the final, I hope for a win
Accident or not - to allow playing right before that first goal was a ref error. Seemed like a penalty but even if it wasn’t (no video available of the moment of impact on here) it would have at least mandated a stop call due to a player being injured on ice .. THIS definitely set the tone for the game and ultimately its outcome, not a legal offside call voiding the 4th goal for SWE. They’re a strong team and it’s disrespectful to either side to say that this “broke” the swedes. However, if 3rd period had ended in a draw, then we’ve all seen what Latvia does in OT so who knows how it would have ended.
Seem there was a Canadian or US ref, you can tell by the dramatic pause he took when announcing the offside and we all know safety is secondary in NA sports.
what are you on about, latvian player should had his head up, they didn't see each other, the swedish player was bigger (or the latvian player was crouched down) and they collided
@@MoetHolgersson it’s definitely not okay to come up from the back and hit someone in the head with your shoulder my guy. Seems like swedes have trouble seeing right from wrong if there’s personal gain haha. So much for being a nation that loves to virtue signal in every other aspect :)) Anyway, even if it wasn’t an intentional hit, which I believe is true, the refs don’t know that, they’re not psychic. And thus they should have called it. I’ve seen plenty of games where guys get penalties for seemingly unfortunate collisions so this was a weird exception. But even without the penalty, you have a player hurt on the ice - allowing further play is just reckless and dangerous. Medical staff were only allowed on the ice after the goal, and the guy was still down on the ground. Not a cool move. Not to mention that obviously that distracted the Latvian defense and left one swede completely free in front of the goalie. So pretty much the perfect setup. I shouldn’t have to explain this as it’s obvious but I guess people can’t get over that their team is not perfect 🤷🏻♂️
@RobertssU I think I know which angle you mean, and from that it looks to me like Granberg is looking in another direction, none of them sees eachother, and then Granlund lifts his shoulder during the impact moment to protect himself from the blow. Wouldn't you? I think the only problem was that the latvian player didn't do the same, then it would have been shoulder to shoulder
@@Zakarias89 yes.. i watched a blowup angle, it looks to me granlund is puck watching as much as the latvian player, after the contact, granland goes "what was that". latvia player also cut to his right, more so than granland cut into him. i know people are biased all over the place. but i have yet to seen proof granlund ever was out to get that guy. it was an accidental collision.
1:09 is brutal complete penalty and the ref even saw it. The game would have been much different if that was called and could have even won them the game
You're delusional just look at the difference in shots at 46-12. The outcome would've been the same but I gotta give credit to Latvias goalie who's a titan.
In the group stage we play like a candidate for medal, but in the playoffs we're on par with Latvia and the likes. We are the least likely team to win gold of the 4 teams left. I'm so tired of seeing this. It's like the football team... Been on a downward spiral for years. The whole organization needs a full reconstruction. They say you'll save your best games for the playoffs... But we seem to peak in the group stage nowdays to then enter the playoffs like an unmotivated, sluggish and far too nervous team unable to top their best group stage performance.
Haha you’re literally the only person who thinks that so you have to go and comment the same sht on all videos here. Also, who signs off on their comments with a signature lol
Latvia played with alot of heart to stay in this game, heads high young men!
Latvian goalie need to be in NHL soon! 50 saves again

Great game. A deserved win for Sweden and Latvia made a challenge that made an impact.
10:55 What a save. That's incredible.
No wonder they say - the goalkeeper is half the team! There's already a line of NHL clubs behind him.
Mateiko is new STAR :)

on the first goal, that was just a bigger player colliding with a smaller player.. there was no interference or bad intent.
from a better angle you can see the swedish player raising his shoulder so that it connects with the latvian players face.
@RobertssU the refs cam?
@RobertssU The he should have kept his head up. That's hockey 101.

Why you remove commentaries, is there some kind of censorship?

It was an accident, they both collided without watching.
Much different? The shots were already 6-0 at that point. If anything Latvia should be glad the game didn't end 6-0.

I think this is a case of seeing what you want to see in this incident, since there not so much to see in there
@@Boomforce as you can see the shots mean nothing if they are not dangerous. Sweden just kept chucking the puck on net with no intent to score

Latvia had a better goalie than us, relax with the call for a full reconstruction
Underestimating your opponent is not a good look.
I guess Canada needs it even more then? Smdh
There goalie saved near 50 shots. You can not get 50 shots on goal while being unmotivated or slugging. Especially since the only got like 15.
Effort from Latvia? Ha, are you kidding me? They came back in the match because of judge incompetence, taking out the SWE 4-0 goal. / Micke P
it was offside lil bro

So you're saying a 3 goal lead isn't enough for Sweden?
So boring hockey, no fights
