  • The arts are integral to student life, campus culture, and university tradition at Stanford. There are many ways to engage with the arts at Stanford. Stay up to date on events and opportunities with the ArtsUpdate weekly student newsletter (arts.stanford.edu/artsupdate).
The arts district features state-of-the-art facilities for making art, studying art, exhibiting art, and performing. See art from around the globe, from antiquities to contemporary masterpieces, at the Anderson Collection (anderson.stanford.edu) and the Cantor Arts Center (museum.stanford.edu). Catch a main stage concert or an intimate cabaret-style performance at Stanford Live’s Bing Concert Hall or Frost Amphitheater (live.stanford.edu). Exercise your creativity at Roble Arts Gym (arts.stanford.edu/roble), an open maker and rehearsal space for all students. Check out the classes and programs offered by the Institute for Diversity in the Arts (diversityarts.stanford.edu), Stanford Arts Institute (artsinstitute.stanford.edu), and Stanford Storytelling Project (storytelling.stanford.edu) to discover how the arts can connect with other disciplines and affect change in the world.
A great way to learn about the many dimensions of the arts on campus is to explore the Stanford Arts website (arts.stanford.edu/). Visit the "For Students" (arts.stanford.edu/for-students) section to book a rehearsal room, join a student group, fund your creative projects, and pursue a career in the arts.
Creativity is at the core of Stanford’s curriculum as well - there are many ways to fulfill the Creative Expression Ways requirement, from improv classes to music lessons to computer graphics courses. Be sure to check out opportunities to explore and experience the arts at Stanford!
