I used to always watch this video along with some of your other videos in second grade. I'm now in seventh grade and this brings me so much memories and now I want these 😂 will get some tomorrow
I just found your channel 4 hours ago and I am still watching now. Absolutely I can not stop watching your videos. I really love all of the foods you cook and the most attractive thing about you I love is the way you say 'Bái bai'. Thanks for your videos. I love cooking and learning English. I gained both with your channel!!!
Thank you Helen my husband is Puerto Rican but he loves banh cam. He gets it every time we eat dim sum. I miss eating Vietnamese food. Thank you so much for sharing these videos I will post a photo when I do make it! :)
My Vietnamese friend once made some banh ran for our trip to Cologne to Carnival and I really love them! Thank you very much for your videos Helen, I really enjoy them and I can't wait to start my year in Vietnam :)
Hello What a beautiful video, congratulations on your wonderful work that your dreams and goals are achieved I wish you health peace and happiness Success. already leaving my affection and support❤️
Ahhh... This reminds me of the Asian Bakery I used to visit. They had variations of this with red bean paste, and another one with chopped peanuts and coconut shavings inside. Sooo tasty.
I love sesame balls. It's funny cos I was never a big fun of them when I was back home in China. I guess I just like the combination of mung bean and coconut a lot better than red bean paste which is used in Chinese seasame balls. I don't have to buy them from my local Asian grocery anymore since you have a video recipe for them. Thanks for the recipe Helen.
Good morning, thank you so much once again for another successful naturally gluten free recipe. I made them last night, left them overnight in the fridge and fried them fresh this morning. They were so delicious, my kids enjoyed them for breakfast and took some for lunch at school. I made the filling with mashed "potatoes"-white yam and cassava. Delish!
Thank you Helen you are very informative everyone else I just don't understand but you explain it so well I understand what you are saying and what you need for the balls thank you very well explained thank you again
Thank you Helen, I was looking for this recipe. In Indonesia we call this "Onde". I never thought will make this myself while in Indonesia. Very cheap and everywhere, its street food. In America..sometimes I crave something and will make myself.
Helen, thank you for sharing this recipe. My father use to buy this for me when I was young. I haven't had this in years...now I can make own. Thank you!
Those look so much better than the frozen ones!! We are definitely trying this recipe, Thank you Helen ^-^ Can you recommend another starchy vegetable to replace the potato? I am allergic. Maybe sweet potato or taro?
I'm not one for mung beans, so can I just use like regular meat like ground beef for maybe burgers to replace it? I really want to try it please answer Helen
theo hướng dẫn thì mình chi cần để bột nghỉ khoảng 30' nhưng em muốn dùng bánh này để ăn sáng thì có thể nặn trước từ đêm rồi để qua đêm tới sáng mới nặn có được không ạ ?
I currently live and teach in South Korea, and Korean rice cakes are not as delicious as South-East-Asian rice cakes. I especially miss these rice balls, in which my mom loves to make in the summer. Thanks for sharing the recipe ^-^

you can fry and then freeze. It's more puffy that way. Fry again or heat it up in an oven next time you serve :)

swtblue85 the temperature of the oil should be around 375°F/ 190°C. Too low temperature can make the fried dough soggy
