I own a 2014 baseline Beetle cabriolet with a 2.5L in-line 5 cylinder engine. Overall, Very, Very fun car to drive. I love it a lot. The only downsides that this car has (as a convertible), is that it’s a bit hard to look at your blind spots, with the top raised, when trying to change lanes. The convertible top corners are a bit wide, and the rear window is tiny. The 5 cylinder engine is a bit hungry for gas too. It’s more practical to drive this car with the driver seat raised, to where you can see over the carriage body, and with the top dropped. The interior of this car, is very cool. Even the basic trim level of this car is cool. Your door speaker grilles have an illuminated border with 3 colors to choose from (red, white, and blue). Even the basic sound system (non Fender audio) sounds great.

Just purchased this car with same beautiful color but with black top and interior. Great little car but still smarter than me. Learned a lot from this video. Thank you very much! Just wish you could change the console color along with the speakers. Not a big fan of red display.

What a pretty little car... my mom's co-worker has one (traded a Mini Cooper for it). When these were released in 2012, i really took a liking to them (: BTW, what's that little bar below the touch screen that has what looks like 4 little lights embedded in it, is it like a touch sensor for gesture control?
+Vincent D I don't know... the lights only showed up in the video and I couldn't see them with my eyes.
I just found out that it is a sensor that expands the bottom buttons when you pass your hand in front of it.

I love love love this car and have test driven one just like it except it was white. The only thing I really dislike about any Beetle generation is there is no room for back seat passengers. For a car that cost almost $30,000 new you'd think by now Volkswagen would improve on passenger space. Especially since they keep enlarging the cars size with each new model.
