I was there that afternoon to hear Green River after so many years. My favorite early Grunge band. Loved their debut EP and songs on the "Deep Six" compilation.
Carol Robinson I love their recently released deluxe editions of Dry As A Bone and Rehab Doll. I also love their live album available only on vinyl. Have yet to get my hands on their 1984 demos vinyl record though. Not a big fan of Come On Down, though, but that’s only because it wasn’t mixed very well in my opinion (I can barley tell what Mark Arm is singing on that album).
So crazy. Before Microsoft exploded I used to go take acid at that park. Ah, youth.

Green River played in 1980s. They are true grunge ancestors.

Still have a few Mudhoney cassettes from back in the day (piece of cake is one). Just discovered Green River though...and it kicks ass!

Actually, we saw SOUNDGARDEN and the Melvins at some old Warehouse down on the Sound...THEN we saw Green River the following nite..Summer of 87..

I know it was on other places...but I loved your 93 AIC HollyRock set you had up...and ALL the people that seemed to appear that they were right there on Stage with the boys and had been with them all day. Anything I put on there came straight from the lips from Chad Smith, drummer for RHCPs..who's good friends with ANOTHER Chattanooga Tennessee boy (cept Eds lived in West Hollywood since 85, and has known Chad since 88, and we were all at a beach party right on the coast where LA Cty and Orange Cty meld...if you will) I KNOW he was there...Peace darlin....
