stbreal it's not "new" but an LP Drops Sat (4/13/19) for RSD (record store day).. "live at the tropicana" a 1984 concert... only making 1500 of them so get to your record store EARLY...
@@jeff7764 ..because he named the style..grunge...mudhoney didn't had much succes but they are great...Green River was the first grunge band..very influential
I was there that afternoon to hear Green River after so many years. My favorite early Grunge band. Loved their debut EP and songs on the "Deep Six" compilation.
Carol Robinson I love their recently released deluxe editions of Dry As A Bone and Rehab Doll. I also love their live album available only on vinyl. Have yet to get my hands on their 1984 demos vinyl record though. Not a big fan of Come On Down, though, but that’s only because it wasn’t mixed very well in my opinion (I can barley tell what Mark Arm is singing on that album).
Im still waiting for the Subpop Video Network vol 2 as advertised at the end of vol 1... 30 yrs or so ago... I wore that vhs tape out... Doing bad things and nodding off to that tape...
Woaw, such an incredible performance. Mark Arm is so awesome in this !! Glad to see a Pro-shot of the Sub Pop 20 fest. I hope we will see the professional shot of the Seaweed and Mudhoney performances!!

damn....that's just some good, ol'fashioned, ass kicking rock n roll...and strangely...saw the both of the 2 , Green River and The Melvins, at some club that was down on the river...and THAT was my GRUNGE initiation..1987....
This video is great! I love Mark's stomps for P.C.C. Kinda Chris Cornell-esque, but Mark was probably doing it first. PLAY MORE SHOWS, COME TO THE EAST COAST! I NEED TO SEE GREEN RIVER!
Right On Kat!! I know it was on other places...but I loved your 93 AIC HollyRock set you had up...and ALL the people that seemed to appear that they were right there on Stage with the boys and had been with them all day. Anything I put on there came straight from the lips from Chad Smith, drummer for RHCPs..who's good friends with ANOTHER Chattanooga Tennessee boy (cept Eds lived in West Hollywood since 85, and has known Chad since 88, and we were all at a beach party right on the coast where LA Cty and Orange Cty meld...if you will) I KNOW he was there...Peace darlin....
The most grunge song they did was Ain't nothing to do which is a cover. That said - I love their take on dirty rock and mark arms frontman vocals are rather fun.
This is 10000 times better than Pearl Jam!!
I'm still amazed at how under-rated Mudhoney is.
This is Green River
@johnnymac6242 i know but mark arm never got enough recognition.
Very
@gregrohsful they were too good for all that. And they sucked at writing cute singles. Just think ... They could have been Weezer!
@@jdmo Thank god they wouldn't write cute singles.
These guys should do another record.
STONE GOSSARD , THE BOSS !!!
