    This is not a very accurate way of describing what is mechanically going on. Its so much simpler than this and ignores how important blending is and how belending is not based on the buffers but based on the nodes mapped into the buffers. This priority notion is silly and not real. All that blend between models does is put any groups containing the same nodes essentially as layers underneath the model for those common nodes only. When layer blending between models is not on the bottom layer of the model does not blend with anything thus totally ignoring anything other models may have put in those nodes.
