Some screw style anchors off of Amazon. Honestly did not expect them to hold but we were surprisingly impressed! www.amazon.com/dp/B098JJM4KC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Trampoline: 1 EF2 tornado: 0 Man, that's like some average Joe walking into an arena and KO'ing Mike Tyson! The play structure ended up rolling and tumbling; I can't believe that trampoline didn't end up in a neighboring zip code!
Ex Janesville resident here. Here in Alabama that trampoline is our official state bird. I also thought that was the first to go good job on keeping it down. I used to live in prairie estates by 39. I hope you get everything back together!!
When the vid first started, i was excited to see the sand box. Every kid in the 90s had that turtle sand box. At least I know I did. Then the tornado blew through. I hope your family is doing well and things get fixed up right quickly for you.
You can tell you took a lot of pride in having a beautiful and relaxing yard, it's a shame it was destroyed. Hope there wasn't too much damage to the house!
I’m so sorry for your loss of property. I hope you and your family are okay. Watching it at .5x speed is way better. Damn, you’ve got that trampoline A N C H O R E D!
I did not take my eyes off of the trampoline because I thought it would be the first to go ... Boy, was I wrong. Whoever installed it, GREAT JOB! You should hire them to redo the kids' playhouse, the slide, patio overhang, and everything else. BTW, I was eating my bday 🎂 when this was happening ...i feel bad now.
😢😮 boy I'll just say that's a good trampoline, the netting where the ball was moving around cuz of the strong wind and everything cuz of the ef2 tornado gee the bottom must be anchored to the ground or something. That's why I didn't blow away. Too bad the back of your yard got destroyed by. That was a nice looking yard before that came along. Thank you. Hey, it looks like things can be refixed.
😀 yeah I guess it's good to have a trampoline like that. Hank it to the ground. It won't blow away. It would take a lot of force from the tornado whatever the number was going to be to destroy it. Nice video though. I enjoyed it. Thanks for the response back. Good luck to you.
Looks like this was the back side of it, RFD was pretty intense. Wind would have been blowing stuff the other way if it was the inflow like a vaccum. House is very lucky this was outer windfield and not a direct hit.
Yes, thankfully it wasn't a direct hit. Not trying to diminish the damage and everything that goes along with that but an direct hit from an ef2 would have taken out the camera and worse.
I live like 40 ish minutes from Janesville (I live in Milwaukee) and I remover preparing for the worst and expecting there to be a tornado but thank god it bypassed us and the speed of the storm slowed down. I was terrified for everyone and I’m so sorry for everyone that got injured died or had things lost/damaged. It’s so sad seeing these things happen!!
See, people be hating on the turtle but in the end his slow ass ain’t going nowhere he don’t want to go, good job buddy. Lo,. Gr8 video, hope everyone turned out as well as the turtle, thanks for sharing.
Driving back home to Madison from Texas that day. We don’t stop at Culver’s outside of Rockford, and decide to go inside (most of the time we’d just drive through) which took us about 20 minutes, we woulda been driving right through this mother. Fortunately, we just glanced off the backside of it. Intense scene still, can only imagine what it was like in the meat of it! Stay safe! Lotsa storm weather left this season.
It's was an incredible night. We were lucky, I guess.. 1 tornado passed 3 miles above us and another one 5 miles under us 5 minutes apart. No one was hurt near our town. Thank you God
Hey WesX, do you have an email address we can use to contact you regarding this video? I'd love to discuss a license to use this if possible! Cheers, Felix
That RFD after the tornado was intense too as seen at the end of this video! I was on this cell back when it produced the Argyle EF2 earlier that day and it was one of the cooler storms I’ve chased. Glad you’re okay (and your trampoline too)
Don't know about that...if you watch the trees they start to move in opposite directions. Can pretty clearly see the inflow then the rfd winds in the trees. Also watch the ball on the trampoline.
So sorry this happened. I’m glad you’re safe. As I watched the moments before the tornado hit, I was thinking how you must have lived here for years and put a lot of love into that backyard. I hope you get to re-do it so it’s better than ever!
No audio? Or is it just wind annoying stuff? Seems like the approach might be heard. Also, power, did power stay on or are the camera battery/solar operated?
@@Og-Judy That's not true. There are many Security Cameras that support audio. In fact it looks like this security setup has audio based on the thumbnail. I'd imagine it's not on because all you hear is static due to the wind.
Depending on your location, yes. I used to live in Florida and I remember a few times I would be sitting in calm sunshine and a few minutes later the sky goes black. If you were in a position to see it coming you could move your stuff but it might be too dangerous
What the hell is that trampoline anchored to

Glad you guys are ok
You should send them this video for advertising
Came here to say that, sheeeesh.
Hopefully everyone safe and well.
I was waiting for the trampoline to fly the whole video. Impressive anchoring job.
I think that trampoline has earned the name Lieutenant Dan.
Guy did one heck of a job tying it down.
Trampoline: 1
EF2 tornado: 0
Man, that's like some average Joe walking into an arena and KO'ing Mike Tyson! The play structure ended up rolling and tumbling; I can't believe that trampoline didn't end up in a neighboring zip code!
I think the trampoline company just found the perfect advertising opportunity:)
ABSOLUTELY!
haha
Mr. Turtle and the trampoline said aw hell no, we aint movin'!
That trampoline told the tornado "Ha!!! I'm the Final Boss. Be gone with your weak sh**!"
And how would you know what the trampoline said ? were you there?
Understandable

What an adorable back yard. So sorry to see that hit. May they recover.
That’s probably the first trampoline to ever survive an EF2 tornado. That’s usually the first thing to blow away.
My brother lives in a trailer park in Janesville. Hope he’s ok. We’re not on speaking terms
Try reaching out dude
Turtle made it when the shed didn’t. Sometimes it pays to be short (from a 5’4” person) 😂
You can tell you took a lot of pride in having a beautiful and relaxing yard, it's a shame it was destroyed. Hope there wasn't too much damage to the house!
Wow... The yard was so cool! It will be again soon. Thanks!
Next tornado here, IAM under that trampoline , 😲
That's what I'm saying how the heck did that trampoline go nowhere and everything else is flying around
Those landscape lights added a great affect 😉 Sorry about your damage though !
I’m so sorry for your loss of property. I hope you and your family are okay. Watching it at .5x speed is way better. Damn, you’ve got that trampoline
A N C H O R E D!
That’s the first trampoline I’ve seen that didn’t blow away in a fart
Well, the kids will still have something to do while mom and dad fix everything. (Trampoline)
Best comment of all!
Can you tell my neighbor how to anchor their trampoline? That tornado took my shed. It dissappeared.
I love Tornados ... but that was kinda rude of it to mess up his nice back yard... But that trampoline was boss level!!!
I did not take my eyes off of the trampoline because I thought it would be the first to go ... Boy, was I wrong. Whoever installed it, GREAT JOB! That's what I was watching. I thought for sure it would take to the sky.

What a waste. This is why we can't have nice things. SMH

As someone who is working very hard on his backyard, man that monster chewed that nice backyard up.
Wow! Trampolines usually fly thru the neighborhood when the winds are 20 mph. That tramp is on steroids…time for some drug testing. 😂

All the more reason to design and build your house like a Terran Bunker from StarCraft.
Thats why i fricken hate tornadoes because they can kill u!
That whole time I was praying 🙏 please not the turtle sand box/ toy box. So where did the lid wind up???
I wanna know who built those blown over but not destroyed wooden structures, I am sorry that the nice yard was mangled though!!!
That trampoline is amazing!
They have crossbars along bottom between the vertical supports that u cant see..they were obviously staked down good..
A nice as the back yard was, the trampoline looked like the strongest thing there. Those porch posts...
See, people be hating on the turtle but in the end his slow ass ain’t going nowhere he don’t want to go, good job buddy. Lo,. Gr8 video, hope everyone turned out as well as the turtle, thanks for sharing.
Wait ...what turtle?😮
....ohhh that turtle😂
Wow, it collapsed almost everything like a house of cards! May I use (some of) this footage?
Sideswiped. Lucky. Hope there was no neighbor on the other side.
wow however you all tied down that trampoline is seriously impressive. I'm sorry to see your playset, shed and pergola were destroyed.
Thought trampoline would be the first thing to fly…
As the video started, I said out loud “Well, the trampoline is a goner!” Couldn’t have been more wrong! 😆
Trampoline: Haha I’m Not Going To Fall
Tornado: Shut Up
Trampoline: God Dang It
The ball on the trampoline got sucked away but not the trampoline. My trampoline was some 2 miles away in an F0 tornado many years ago lol.
So glad it didn't come in and take the house

Amazing to watch the inflow winds then the outflow winds. Hope everyone is O.K.
That's horrifying! Walking out and looking for the first time would be a total shocker.
I feel bad for people who decorate and are proud of their backyard and then a tornado ruins everything.
😔
The fuck

Everyone's talking about the trampoline but let's not overlook the little turtle sandbox. Not a SINGLE ITEM came outta that thing the whole time!
I live minutes from you. We were spared this time. I hope the redo goes well!
I’m just here for the trampoline comments. 🍿
the turtle sandbox and the trampoline must be held down with flex tape and jbweld lol
Everything else just flying away. The trampoline: I’m still standing 🎶
I can't imagine what an EF5 tornado can do, even though I've seen pictures and videos. It's beyond one's concept of reality.
Cleaning off the back patio has never been easier.
A “whoop, whoop, whoop” sound effect for when that guy high tails it into the house would be perfect.
I thought the trampoline was going to be the first to go. It was a beautiful backyard though. 😢
I was watching this on radar reports live when it happened.
You on Afton road?
Good ad for that trampoline company
I was under the trampoline the entire time. But, we lost the basement.
Where did the changing colored lights come from?
That is scary! Happens so fast.
So the trampoline doesn't fly?
Thx for the footage, very close look....
Damm trampoline survived 😮
How did that trampoline not fly away
my sister got hit by this tornado, crazy to see footage of it
That looked like straight line winds. Maybe a microburst. Not a tornado. Either way, very sad to see their yard messed like that.
Don't know about that...if you watch the trees they start to move in opposite directions. Can pretty clearly see the inflow then the rfd winds in the trees. Also watch the ball on the trampoline.
The winds quickly switched directions, so no it wasn't straight line winds.
I need the number of their electrician
impressive trampoline install.
Lights stayed on...
So sorry this happened. I’m glad you’re safe. As I watched the moments before the tornado hit, I was thinking how you must have lived here for years and put a lot of love into that backyard. I hope you get to re-do it so it’s better than ever!
FAFO!
😮😮😮😮😮😂😂❤
The trampoline: I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHIN'
I’m assuming swiped by the EF-2? Full on would be way more damage
Yikes 😬
Taiwan
Whoever anchored that trampoline, bravo! I’m impressed!
Omg!
Poverini 😢😢😢😢😢😢
sooo glad northern dane county missed it
Dammmm!
Our fence guy says trampolines are an annuity for him - but not this one.
Trampoline didn’t go .. 😅
Trampoline thd hulk
That is so chilling!
Is that on steller dr?
No audio? Or is it just wind annoying stuff? Seems like the approach might be heard. Also, power, did power stay on or are the camera battery/solar operated?
Most security camera footage generally has no audio.

Why so much stuff on the patio?? I even stack up the chairs when I know a storm is coming. Our deck and patio are clean.
Not every storm announces that it is coming.
this was an unwarned tornado lmao they didn’t announce a warning until it was already past janesville.
@@juu0nso ur telling me people could be outside then suddenly be hit by a tornado without knowing there was one? 😢
