Working out in the elements as you do definitely has its challenges, but you also have the blessing of seeing and appreciating sights like the sunrise and sunset which for everyone else are little more than drive-time annoyances. Thanks for the video, Tim. (Yes, I am back to watching once again.)
Big drags or duels is not going to hurt that 635 is what she's designed to do people..lol
That morning scene took me back to those days of showing up on a job site before light. The morning chill, the smell of the raw churned up earth, the lumber, the coffee, and scrap wood fire in the fifty gallon drum. The easy camaraderie of men readying themselves for the day. "When it's light enough to read your tape."
One note with those exercise bike stands and it is a quite serious one. My wife has a bike and such stand in our kitchen that she sporadically climbs on and huffs and puffs. One night she and the bike came crashing over and she damned near broke her neck from the fall. What had happened was the hub retainers had gotten loose over time and let go when flexed. Total maintenance fail on our part, but thought I share our experience.
We had an old saying in the doctoring business; "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement."
People don't understand that tigercat 635 has different size grapples that can be put on it. Most owners of any skidder wants it to pull the max load it can pull to the deck to be productive. The duals on there is helping it pull the max load of wood with it being wet. Tim and family has been logging long time and they know what to do when its wet like this. I can see the ground is wet and i bet Chad knows if he is hurting the equipment or not. I like hearing them engines pull. The transmission is build to handle that type of pulling. Have a great day and be safe
I wonder how many folks saying “you should do this/you should do that “ have ever ran heavy equipment? I’m pretty sure ole CT3 and his family know what their doing, been in the business a long time . Keep up the good work.
👍💪💪💪 It AIN"T OVERLOADED til the machine won't move!!!!!!💪💪💪💪💪😵😊 Isn't that just the MOST WONDERFUL time of the day, [SUNRISE] the job is just so much more enjoyable.... Them office cubes just will never boost the human spirit no matter the FELLOWSHIP 😵🙄🥴😁😆 The bike setup is so simple BUT rewarding AND I AGREE - the garage door is just fine to loose the world..... KEEP THEM CHIPS FLYING........😍😍😍😍😍
great video Tim , buddy of mine only worked one day last week , be safe and have a blessed day !
Love to hear them Peterbilts walking the dog. Com' on back. Y'all showing out now cotontop3. I 👀 you.👍👍
I believe Tigercat put a man sized grapple on that machine in order to separate the men from the boys!!! Look at the pulls Bobby Goodson makes with his in the swamp with 70” of tire on the back.
Hay Cottontop
just wanted to let you know don"t let the eteits put a mood damper on you its your show.
i think piss off them guys and keep doing what you do. i have watched you cens the early days and i like it so keep on getting on brother.
That’s a pretty place up there where y’all are. Great video
It’s the same here buddy. The ground is nothing but a swamp here.
Beautiful morning ,gday thanks 4 the vdga Tim .
You're the wedge king! Sitting there playing with them like poker chips...😎
A buddy of mine runs a skidder in his family business and he likes to run duals with the bigger tires on the inside and a tire that’s about 8-12 inches smaller on the outside, he says it’s perfect when it gets wet cause he uses the outside tire when he sinks down and when it drys up the outside is barely being used and it saves popping the duals on and off all the time
I like the hardheads they dont flare up and bust on you near as bad
Great set up
Perfect morning sunrise....cant see that from an office building. 👍🇺🇸
I think all chainsaw chaps should come with wedge pockets on them. If they put them on the front of them where the wedge rides just above the knee, it would even protect your legs from the saw better with a wedge in them..
Hardhead wedges, still have some over 12 years old,I like them. KW brand pretty good too. Believe Chad has operated that skidder long enough to know what it will and will not do. Saying it's overloaded, don't see the logic in that. People need to see the huge drags this machine pulls in the mountains of Canada day in and day out.
You're right some people just don't understand the more you have come into the processor the more money you're making
Awesome video tim thank you for sharing with us
Make money while the Sun shines / nice to see the Sun for change in stead of all the rain
Great video Tim 👍👍👍
Was a beautiful mornin got some nice loads goin out hopefully she dries out for ya
Nice bike setup
I bet that pond is full. Ours here in Northern Indiana is full and been flowing out the overflow for couple months now.
Hey Tim is your brothers still in the woods logging, just watching some old school vids this morning
Just wondering is that the only engine that comes in that skidder? Great video
I wondered about the wear and tear on the drive train but that machine was designed for swamp logging and most swamp loggers run duals all the time. So running duals should not have an effect on the drive train.
Pretty colors lol
Good Afternoon Mr. TIM,
I have a couple questions about your logging operation in general. First, do you guys go out and solicit land owners to try and get forest to log or do land owners generally seek you out to log their property?
My second question after clear cutting a large tract of land do you offer either a crew/or contract a crew to replant the land if the land owner wants it re-forested? I am curious if the land owners have to hire two separate companies or if you are like a full service type.
Hey one question how is Derick been feeling? I have Colitis myself and I know Krones is even more disabling. Also please let Derick know he is always in my thoughts and everytime you post a video I say a small prayer for your crew to be safe and a special side mention for Derick that he his feeling well, anyone that has either Colitis or Krones disease understand how painful and life disruptive it can be when it flares up.
Goodbye for now Mr. Tim, and please be safe out there & God Bless!
We primarily cut for a timber company and they have a contract crew of people who prep the land after we are done and then another group who comes in and replanted it.
@@cotontop3 Cool I might be getting old according to my wife but I am still managing to learn something new every day! Thank You Mr. Tim for the learnin... 😉lol
I was wondering what is the maximum length of pole's you can haul legally ,love to hear that skidder pulling a load
hey mate got a quick question, have you seen the Australian log trailers (the ones that fold up) is so what are your thoughts on them?
No later tater? No "if you like my stuff please subscribe"??
You're slacking Tim lol!
But yes, once again that cummins is a gut wrenching motor. I don't think some folks can wrap their heads around how hard that motors working.
Later tater!
good video tyvm
I seen one of them walking trees lolllll.
Those are some long logs. How long did it take for the trees to get to that size?
Ha, I know you have told your viewers that your 635 came setup for duals. That means it’s Tigercat approved. Plus y’all are getting more than 15 loads a day with just one skidder operator most of the time!I have seen smaller loggers using smaller skidders create more rutting in wet weather. A 635 can get 3 piles in one drag that may be 3 separate drags for a smaller skidder. It’s not just the weight that causes rutting it’s how many times you have to cross the same skid trail.
Here’s a question for ya who services your big trucks that haul the logs how about some videos on the main shop I know you’ve had some in the past thanks Tim Napa mike
My dad does oil change, brakes, wheel seals and all sorts of other stuff on them. Stuff he don’t want to do, we a truck mechanic right by our shop.
Looked at Specialized electric bike. She looked awful pretty but so did the price $$$$. Guess I will stick with Norwegian steam mode for a while!
I do have one question how far down the log road do they stop and tie the load down?
Depends on where the closest place is that he has enough room for another truck to pass.
How much acres is this track
Update video on ram??? Everything good still?
What drone..LOL Just funnin ya Tim..Great video, Have a great day Tim..
Lol Get him Cynthia! Hope you are feeling better and doing good
@@dozingnsloping6814 LOL..I am, & I'll be dancing in about 6 wks. .. I wished..Take care kind sir..
You put extra tires not extra graffle
What happened to the drone footage?
You’ll see it later because it’s over 20 min alone.
I do t think the average pavement driver understands the power and the weight that skidder puts out and its really wet and when you run in the red clay it’s like quick sand and no where to go it’s so wet the logging crew I work for ended up shutting down and I had to find another job they just started back running but I won’t be going back because of the risk of the winter logging is a industry that you will not understand until you are the industry
People want to act like they know whats going on but in reality they are clueless
I got here first today lol
