My friend's cat has taken to switching on the bathroom sink when he wants food. With the cost of water nowadays, simply ignoring running water - not to mention the cat will actually get itself wet and run around the flat - isn't an option. A similar problem is with the curtains, how do we stop him from playing with the curtains?
One of the cutest things my kitten has ever done was this one time at 10am, when I didn't wanna get out of bed, he looked at his food bowl and saw that it was empty. He ran towards me then rested his head on my chest then gave a little meow. I immediately got up because how could I just resisttt. Very educational video, I'm gonna start incorporating this immediately haha
@@OutdoorBengal I listened to this a couple days ago, so even if she comes to cuddle during the night, I just go back to sleep and not pet her. She decided to cuddle this early am and then she stood up and placed a paw strategically on a sensitive area and unleashed her claws. I put her bed outside the door and she soon cried loudly. I ignored, but now i am very sleep deprived. I cannot nap until after I take care of afore planned activities! I did not know that this Bengal-Tabby mix would attack me, deliberately. Our trust is broken for now.
I’m lucky with my kitten, he’s 5 months old now, and he let me sleep until 8am or 8:30am!! Usually his happy hour is around 10-11pm, so I tried to play a lot with him, run with him or play some games, I turn the light off and leave some little pieces of food before I sleep, he sleeps in the living room, I closed the door of my room and never bothers at the door. I love him 😅

How to train a kitten not to sleep on your head or touch your face at night or attack your hands when you sleep (he doesn't during the daytime). He is still small (2.5 months and was separated early) and I'm trying to teachhim "no" as shown in your video.basically I know it is important to ignore behaviours you don't want but on some cases it doesn't work (IE you want to sleep and it's painful when he comes and bites hands or its pressure if he tries to sleep on uncomfortable places, so I'd want a way to tell him do this instead of that. These videos are very interesting and informative. Thank you for making them. I have 2 kittens, a brother & sister. They are 3 months old. Is it too early to start to train them? Also, what is the best way to train two cats? Trying the techniques at the same time might not be the best environment for focus. I can shut one away while training the other. But they are not fans of locked doors...
I understand we are not supposed to respond in any way, basically play dead, if our cat tries to get our attention in the middle of the night. The one thing I can't ignore is when my girl keeps licking my face. She's cleaning the entire thing! I try pulling away from her a little but she just tries licking the next area. This is especially a concern when there are occasions I've put a cream on at night that my cat should not be ingesting. I need advice - with and without the face cream issue!! Thanks!

Interesting is, that freefeeding stopped my cat from overeating herself and eating the food of the other cat. She is got a trauma from young age and thus had the tendency to munch everything at once, until I gave her endless supply of food and she eventually understood that she didnt need to be afraid of the food running low. And she lost weight. At least thats how I understood it.
My cat takes his nose and forcibly goes for my hand to pet him. He won’t stop until I pet him. Then if I don’t pet him (because I’m still asleep) he starts clawing at the bed. Any suggestions?
my cat loves to play with wires and i’ve seen an electric spark come out of a wire multiple times. she’s gotten in a habit of playing with that wire, and there’s another below it that i dont want her to do the same to. i CANT ignore my cat or else something possibly fatal may happen and nobody wants that. have you made a video talking about wires and cords?
I watched+15 different videos of yours, thanks for helping me. I have a small but big question! How do i teach her not to jump on my bed and try to sleep with me?
Okay I’m at the “Set The Tone” part of the video and I have a question. I keep the toys out of the bedroom… but then they play with each other. I have two kitty siblings… so if there are no toys then they just tackle and chase each other. What do I do?
My geriatric cat (18) is torturing me. She meows VERY loudly like a lion at around 4-8 am. At night she licks my face persistently when I’m training to sleep.
Fist of all, thank you very much! I'm having two bengals in a week and after watching your videos I'm feeling much more confident. I have a question I couldn't find the answear anywhere until now. should they sleep with me in my bedroom or should I place them outside? I feel like they will have enough place, but I am not sure if that's rather a good or a bad recipe for a good night of sleep (of course I would rather have them with me to get some cuddles during the night, but sleep well seems a good option also hehe). Cheers from Brazil
Hello Felipe! Your cats love your bedroom. Is your place of comfort, is full of soft tissue (sheets, covers, blankets) impregnated with your smell. They wanna be part of it. Keeping your cats away from your bedroom is keeping your cats from an important piece of their territory. I would limit keeping cats from our bedroom only in case of cat allergies. The recipe for a good night sleep comes from outside the bedroom, what you do with them before bedtime, how you feed them and how drained your cats energy is at the end of the day. Good luck!
Dude, my cats gotta be special cats cause I’ve done all of this and they are just not tired of playing and nothing works. Hid the toys, they started using the house as a toy and break everything😔😔. Lovely video cause it should work… Normally, if you don’t have my beasts😂
I would really like to know about the products link you mentioned to share on description. Even after ignoring for weeks my cat won't let us sleep through the night. P.S. She is an extremely anxious cat and she is loud. The neighbours are complaining!!

Hi! Very helpful video :) But i am thinking on giving my bengal a raw diet but im not sure what portion sizes to give. What is a good portion size of this kind of diet for kitten bengals and for adult bengals?
Hello, first of all, you should check with your veterinarian if your cat can or can't eat raw. There are some pre-existing conditions that might make raw risky for your cat (inmuno deficiencies). Also, note that raw has to be properly balanced with supplements or your cat might be lacking some basic nutrients only found in blood/glizzards/bones. Said that, as a general rule: - Kitties can eat between 10% (2-4months) to 5% (8-12months) of their body weight on a raw diet. - For adult cats, 2%-2.5% of their current body weight (in pounds) per day if they are healthy. For less active, senior, overweight cats: 1.5% of their current body weight per day and on the other extreme, for very active and outdoorsy cats, up to 3% of their current body weight per day.
this wont work for my cat she runs through the halls and when i turn the lights out this cat Bites my feat but in the day my cat sleep like idk how long.
How can i make my cat sleep in a designated place? I dont want my cat to sleep on my bed (i have allergy rhinitis) she really likes to sleep beside me on my bed
I do want to be able to have my kitten sleep with me through the night. But then again he was sleeping most of the day time next to me when I do my work so not much disturbing. Guess he slept that much already I can’t ask more thet he also sleep good with me at night. I tried to have my kitten sleep with me once he walk about everywhere and I wake up everytime he moves
Do you have a litter box in your bedroom? My bedroom is upstairs and e like to sleep with the door closed, but if we bring our kitten with us in the room and close the door she can’t get to her litter box downstairs
I do not have a litter in my bedroom. I used to sleep with my door closed but I don't do it anymore. Your cat will probably wait for you or wake you up if they need to use the litterbox but my immediate solutions are farily obvious so I don't think they will help much: - Don't close the door - Add a litter in your bedroom - Add a small cat-door in your bedroom - Don't sleep with your cat Please, let me know what you end up doing!
HELP I ONLY GET 3 HOURS OF SLEEP BECAUSE OF MY KITTEN SHE WONT STOP SCRATCHING HER POST AND JUMPING UP AND DOWN AT NIGHT PLEASE HELP I EVEN PUT HER ON SCHEDULED FEEDING TIMES AND HID HER TOYS NOTHING WORKS :((
Hey, thanks for this video. I’ll try these out with my cat. My cat never cuddles and every night at 2:30 he starts shouting and does not stop until someone plays with him I had tried to work on it but it hasn’t been working. Everyone at home is starting to get frustrated because no one is getting proper sleep also he goes on for 1-2 hours or more I was worried if something is wrong with him but he’s okay he just wants to play. I really need him to sleep through the night so everyone else can also sleep currently it’s 4:30 am and I’ve been up for more than an hour. Everyday I wake up with a headache😭 please help me
My 2 Persian and 1 British longhair baby’s are good in the night till about 5am when my Persian girl wakes me and her dad up by licking our nose 😫 it’s cute but drives us insane! We can’t lock them out the room because they will meow all night …plus we don’t sleep well without them 😂
That's for you to decide but if you are not consistent, you cat won't understand when it works and when it does so it will do it even more (just like gambling)
What If you say you have a headache? 🤣🤣🤣 Nah, Just feed them, cocido de garbanzos, lentejas con chorizo... they will sleep like an old Spaniard like me 😛😜
Thank you! I use free feeding because my cat just won't gain weight... but perhaps it is not the best way? Please could you perhaps speak a little bit slower? 😅 I'm looking forward to sleep how long i want in the future... 😎
Hello! If your cat is waking you up at night, what you can do is remove the "free feeding bowl" in the evening. From 3-4pm until 11pm, to force them to eat when you go to bed. That should work. I'm so sorry that you feel like I speak fast. I'm trying to provide a lot of content in very little time and that might get in the way for non-native speakers (like myself). If it helps, there are automatic subtitles available that might help you follow the conversation. I'll try to speak more clearly, though. Thanks so much for the feedback 😍 I'm still learning this youtuber thing... :p
Man a cat came to our house 3 moths ago with a kitten... And afrer two months she went outside and as usual but never came back... Now it's all up to me and ny family to take care of.... And we are... And she is so friendly with us But she climb at our beds at night ....and i don't know what to do.. ... It's so annoying.... I do care for her but i don't want her on my bed at night....
If it bothers someone they should just put them outside their bedroom and shut the door. My cat slept on my chest or snuggled under my arm every night and I loved it. Other cats I had always slept at my feet. I had one cat that would wake me up by sticking his tounge in my mouth totally freaking me out. I named him frenchy. I gave him flying lessons a couple of times and he cut it out right away.
@@OutdoorBengal Nope, Of course he wasn't hurt. He just was momentarily airborn. He slept on me or at my feet every night till he died at 12yrs old. he just didn't give me wet dreams anymore. I tried to hide snacks in my flat but my cat mostly doesn't found them and then they are getting dry and he doesn't want them anymore. The hidingplaces are not to difficult and I hide some off them every day in the same place. I use his favourite snacks. He is also a bengalcat. What can I do?
Try cat feeding toys instead: amzn.to/37Ytn2K You don't need to hide them much, just leave them around and let your cat fight with them to get the food out. Also, have you considered hiding kibble instead of treats?
Guys I need help. I am ready to drop my cat off at a shelter. I've been taking him out to help him get exercise and it was the worst decision ever. He now meows constantly at the door and at night paws at the blinds so badly I'm worried he's going to break them and/or get his head stuck and strangle himself. I haven't slept in two days. I watched videos about "my cat won't let me sleep" and doing what they say .... haven't been rewarding his behavior, I act like nothing is happening. But it isn't working? I broke down last night and yelled at him and put him in the bathroom. I'm considering getting a spray bottle again even though I know they're bad and I should not use them. But wtf I don't know what to do! I am so angry at him I honestly want to take him to a shelter right now. I even looked some up. But no one would adopt him bc he's too old and he gets cranky :/ I can't let him go in and out as he please bc it's not safe in this area where I live. And I can't make any changes to the door as I'm in an apt. Help!!! Anyone please 🙏
Have you tried CBD drops? They make some in a liquid dropper bottle that is safe for most cats and dogs. My in laws have a very anxious and sometimes crazy cat and it has really helped them at night to put some in his last meal before you go to bed. Hope things get better!
Just came here after watching Johnny depp n Amber Heard court case n i came across this vid n a thought crossed my mind n it's that it's better to marry a cat then to marry wrong partner like amber heard
today I was waked up by my cat trying to lick my back .... she decided she will lick my back with her sharp tongu XD btw sadly I canlt keep my cat toys outside a bedroom because I am living in a small flat :(
I’m at home with my cat all day because I’m unable to work due to disability and my 5 month old wants to play almost all day, today she slept for only 2 out of 11 hours. I spend a LOT of time interacting and playing with her and she has solo toys too but it doesn’t matter how much I try to wear her out she just keeps going, play, hunt, kill, eat........ and repeat, no sleep! Her routine is to sleep after dinner in the evening and an hour in the afternoon sometimes but as soon as I start doing something she gets up and staggers around with her eyes half open wanting to play then gets overstimulated very quickly and stays that way for hours, I don’t free feed her and our routine is pretty much set although she’s started going longer between meals. The longest she’s slept during the night is 6 hours but it’s usually more like 5, I’m like the walking dead and living with chronic pain and fatigue, rest is vital for me but I’m just not getting it. I lost my previous kitties at 16 and 20 years old and they were nothing like little miss Daisy when they were young, miss Daisy sleeps through dawn and dusk which is the opposite of what a cat’s circadian rhythm should be. I understood that having a kitten would be hard work to get right but sheesh, I was an insomniac before she came to me but now all I want to do is sleep, I know that cats can also suffer with insomnia but does that apply to almost all of the 24 hours of every day!
It's crazy what you are mentioning! Is the cat eating enough? Is it really only getting 2 hours of sleep? I would recommend you to monitor it very closely and try to get professional help from a veterinarian. It doesn't seem healthy for either of you. If you might be missing some sleeping hours that your cat is taking and you don't see, then try to swap those hours for night hours, not allowing your cat to sleep and interacting during the day so that during the night they are tired. Good luck!
@@OutdoorBengal similar stuff happening with my new cat and the veterinarians did not really help 😕 some animals are just like that i guess just like humans they can have mental illness issues...

My cat takes his nose and forcibly goes for my hand to pet him. He won’t stop until I pet him. Then if I don’t pet him (because I’m still asleep) he starts clawing at the bed. Any suggestions?
New kitten mom and love your advice
my cat loves to play with wires and i’ve seen an electric spark come out of a wire multiple times. she’s gotten in a habit of playing with that wire, and there’s another below it that i dont want her to do the same to. i CANT ignore my cat or else something possibly fatal may happen and nobody wants that. have you made a video talking about wires and cords?
I watched+15 different videos of yours, thanks for helping me.
I have a small but big question! How do i teach her not to jump on my bed and try to sleep with me?
Okay I’m at the “Set The Tone” part of the video and I have a question. I keep the toys out of the bedroom… but then they play with each other. I have two kitty siblings… so if there are no toys then they just tackle and chase each other. What do I do?
Our new Bengal kitten loves waking us up between 4 and 6am :')
Hahaha it's not unusual but nothing you can't reedirect with positive reinforcement and play/food before bed time.
@@OutdoorBengal Btw while you're here your adventure cat short was what convinced us to get our little Bengal boy so thanks for that haha
my cat wakes me up at 1:00 am then doesn't let me sleep till 6 am
she then sleeps all day, while I'm working
😂 I get up at 3 or 4am because of the cat and then when I head to work at 6 she’s already 🥱 😴 and sleeps all day
My geriatric cat (18) is torturing me.
Good luck!
@@OutdoorBengal Perfect! Life will be better with them sleeping with me! Thank you again
@@OutdoorBengal Do you close the bedroom door so she doesn’t wonder the house and leave the bedroom?
Really love your videos!! Do you have any social accounts? Would love to follow youuu 🥰
Yes I do! Mia's instagram and tiktok accounts are @outdoorbengal My personal account is @albertcolo
I'll see you there! :)
Dude, my cats gotta be special cats cause I’ve done all of this and they are just not tired of playing and nothing works. Hid the toys, they started using the house as a toy and break everything😔😔. Lovely video cause it should work… Normally, if you don’t have my beasts😂
God bless you :))))
I would really like to know about the products link you mentioned to share on description. Even after ignoring for weeks my cat won't let us sleep through the night.
P.S. She is an extremely anxious cat and she is loud. The neighbours are complaining!!

From where u get this Bengal cat
My cat has a routine. Every 6am-6:30am she goes on top of my drawers, finds something entertaining and knocks it down. I catch her all the time and trying to tell her to stop but she keeps doing it. I’ve trying to clear that drawer out and she moves onto the next drawer with items she’s not supposed to touch.
I’m out of options is there anything you recommend for her to stop?
i adopted a new kitten a few days ago and he usually sleeps for 4-5 hours in the afternoon and plays throughout the rest of the day and night :/ Whenever i turn the lights off, he just jumps in bed with me and starts playing with my hands and feet. At first he was gentle with it but now it actually hurts me and i dont know how to deal with it😕 Im trying to set him up on a steady play, eat, sleep schedule but he just has too much energy rn :( Im so sleep deprived help shkdsjkdnd i love him but im also exhausted
same idk what the heck 😕 should i do it makes me feel so awful did u find a solution ?
What can I use instead of a clicker if my cat is deaf? Thank you.
Said that, as a general rule:
- Kitties can eat between 10% (2-4months) to 5% (8-12months) of their body weight on a raw diet.
- For adult cats, 2%-2.5% of their current body weight (in pounds) per day if they are healthy. For less active, senior, overweight cats: 1.5% of their current body weight per day and on the other extreme, for very active and outdoorsy cats, up to 3% of their current body weight per day.
@@OutdoorBengal Thank you so much! May I know what you feed your cat on the daily??
this wont work for my cat she runs through the halls and when i turn the lights out this cat Bites my feat but in the day my cat sleep like idk how long.
my cat is re

How can i make my cat sleep in a designated place? I dont want my cat to sleep on my bed (i have allergy rhinitis) she really likes to sleep beside me on my bed
My four month old kitten sleeps in the night, but the problem is she wants to sleep in my head 😂
the problem is my kitten attacks me when i go to sleep
I do want to be able to have my kitten sleep with me through the night. But then again he was sleeping most of the day time next to me when I do my work so not much disturbing. Guess he slept that much already I can’t ask more thet he also sleep good with me at night. I tried to have my kitten sleep with me once he walk about everywhere and I wake up everytime he moves
I’m a new kitten mom, and he wakes me up with his nails extended. How can I not react to that? Any advice? 😢
Your audience just became more diverse 😁
You and the cat are cute....
Welp definitely not possible for me 😂 i work night shift so i cant have the same sleeping schedule … 😩
I live in a one room apartment, how can I make this work??
Do you have a litter box in your bedroom? My bedroom is upstairs and e like to sleep with the door closed, but if we bring our kitten with us in the room and close the door she can’t get to her litter box downstairs
I do not have a litter in my bedroom. I used to sleep with my door closed but I don't do it anymore. Your cat will probably wait for you or wake you up if they need to use the litterbox but my immediate solutions are farily obvious so I don't think they will help much:
- Don't close the door
- Add a litter in your bedroom
- Add a small cat-door in your bedroom
- Don't sleep with your cat
Please, let me know what you end up doing!
HELP I ONLY GET 3 HOURS OF SLEEP BECAUSE OF MY KITTEN SHE WONT STOP SCRATCHING HER POST AND JUMPING UP AND DOWN AT NIGHT PLEASE HELP I EVEN PUT HER ON SCHEDULED FEEDING TIMES AND HID HER TOYS NOTHING WORKS :((
Maybe you should consider putting her into solitary confinement and in the bathroom at night. It worked with my kitten.
We can’t lock them out the room because they will meow all night
…plus we don’t sleep well without them 😂
😻😻😻
:) Glad you liked it!
should I ignore even if the cat keeps scratching the door in my rental apartment? Also the cat is 8 years old and I just adopted him
That's for you to decide but if you are not consistent, you cat won't understand when it works and when it does so it will do it even more (just like gambling)
@@OutdoorBengal I tried to ignored him for two nights straight without even talking or engaging in any way and it worked.
Can you put cats in a crate like a dog
What If you say you have a headache? 🤣🤣🤣 Nah, Just feed them, cocido de garbanzos, lentejas con chorizo... they will sleep like an old Spaniard like me 😛😜
It's a coincidence my Bengal cat is Mia too. 😊
I think Mia is a lovely name for a cat ... Can sound a bit like a "meow"
It’s like having a new baby
Thank you! I use free feeding because my cat just won't gain weight... but perhaps it is not the best way?
Please could you perhaps speak a little bit slower? 😅
I'm looking forward to sleep how long i want in the future... 😎
@@OutdoorBengal thanks for your reply! i will try the subtitles :) and i think you are doing a great youtube-job allready! 🌷
What's annoying about it? Can you offer an alternative to what the cat is trying to achieve?
Cat 🐈
If it bothers someone they should just put them outside their bedroom and shut the door. My cat slept on my chest or snuggled under my arm every night and I loved it. Other cats I had always slept at my feet. I had one cat that would wake me up by sticking his tounge in my mouth totally freaking me out. I named him frenchy. I gave him flying lessons a couple of times and he cut it out right away.
hahahahahaha That does not always work but the flying lessons sound like something that could put a bond at stake...
@@OutdoorBengal Nope, Of course he wasn't hurt. He just was momentarily airborn. He slept on me or at my feet every night till he died at 12yrs old. he just didn't give me wet dreams anymore. So gross, yes he thought he could make out with you. I think he may have been separated from his mother too young. He lived 12 yrs. Maintained that name and was so sweet.
@@OutdoorBengal Cats are smart. As soon as he knew if he tunged me he would fly he stopped...lol. It was that or roll with ???????. Talk about attention at night!
If I don't let food always there my cat cry for food...so this is not an option. My cat wake us up at 6 in the morning. 😅😅😅
My cat wakes me up by walking over me - I am a restless sleeper and he cuddles up next to me but every time I shift he shifts, sometimes by walking over me:/

haha
im watching this because my cats woke me up at 4am
I tried to hide snacks in my flat but my cat mostly doesn't found them and then they are getting dry and he doesn't want them anymore. The hidingplaces are not to difficult and I hide some off them every day in the same place. I use his favourite snacks. He is also a bengalcat. What can I do?
Try cat feeding toys instead: amzn.to/37Ytn2K
You don't need to hide them much, just leave them around and let your cat fight with them to get the food out.
Also, have you considered hiding kibble instead of treats?
Have your cat ever peed on your bed or pillow while you were sleeping?
Mia has never done that... me on the other hand... I couldn't say the same
Guys I need help.
I use earplugs if I need sleeping 😊
I no longer call myself animal lover.
How´s that?
My cat won’t let me sleep past 6:30am
Omg same
Just came here after watching Johnny depp n Amber Heard court case n i came across this vid n a thought crossed my mind n it's that it's better to marry a cat then to marry wrong partner like amber heard
Hahaha way more loyal and nice for sure.
today I was waked up by my cat trying to lick my back .... she decided she will lick my back with her sharp tongu XD btw sadly I canlt keep my cat toys outside a bedroom because I am living in a small flat :(
Ive done everything wrong 😂 time for a change
Good luck!
Please keep ur cat in all ur frames as far as possible in all videos
My cat won’t get up till I get up and she has a cat door!
That's awesome and very cute! hehe
