- 1965 psych from New York, USA
Little is known of this band other than they were named after their hometown (Crescent, NY) and released the Zombies inspired single 'And Then' in the fall of 1965. The song was written by Gregory Ferrara and is credited as a Simmons-Evans production. The flip side of the 45 contains an instrumental titled 'Nightmare'.

60`S ROCK FOR EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!
"The Crescent Six" From Farmingdale , NY recorded as a band from 1964- 1966.. Managed by Simmons & Evans Productions... We played in Greenwich Village at The Night Owl Cafe, Upstairs at the Downstairs, The Village Gate and on Long Island at My House in Plainview and at the short lived Murray the K's World. Those were very exciting days for such young guys.. Enjoy !!!! Band Members Greg G&V,Tony G&V,Danny S&V , Jay P&V, Ray B&V & Joe Drums NIGHTMARE is viewable on my channel
was Greg later in the Brooklyn Bridge and Ramatam?
Very much beautiful, happy to find it..thanks!!
Thanks for sharing this tune with us. If some time machine would exist I'd take off to the 60's. I would go where Kidd Video hasn't gone before especially where these groups were playing at. Someone asked me about a couple of months ago, "What does Kidd Video have to do with this?" I told them that Kidd Video didn't ventured into this particular time period, but it's what it is. Great song by the way, and Keep On Rocking!!!
Incredible! What a confluence of different channels to bring you here. Love the song, mate; my dorm blasts with it all the time!
Incredible solo guitar melody!
There is so much more to this story.. But let me say.. The band was from Farmingdale NY a suburb community on Long Island. We played together from 1964 -1966 before we parted ways. I still play on a regular basis and have only been able to locate 1 other member that I know is still alive. I would love to tell this story and clear up some misconceptions about the band..
I heard Gregory Ferrari became April Lawton and started the band ramatam in 70's. No idea if that is true. cheers
@Xraymanmdb great band friend!...very good song and guitar...
Quite something indeed. It certainly sounds like you've had lots of fun, and continue to. We all die, but not all of us really live.
Thank you.. I have posted my own video/audio of this and will be adding the flip side very soon.. I just got a copy of the record. more info here
Peace
