I love how much Lego now understands and appreciates it’s older audience to make these really elegant display pieces, wow the Sakura option is beautiful
Person: I really want a small Bonsai tree in my house but I don't want to shell out tons of money for one and I want one with zero effort maintenance. Lego: Don't worry we got you.
Interesting. I would have never thought of that because these are on the mature trunk and not the branches. Do they ever get left on permanently? I thought wrapped wires were only used on growing tissues. Correcting slowly developing deviations on heavily lignified tissues typically requires a significantly stronger technique.
Little suggestion for the treehouse: use the green leaves as the base and add the fall leaves. Except for one bag I used all leaf pieces. Gives it a lusher look and it feels more like indian summer (if you have some red leaf pieces use them too).
What an elegant model. I’m quite surprised with the impressive creativity of those inspiration builds at the back of the instructions. Better than alternative builds imo
Those suggestions in the back of the book are a really nice throwback to when they used to do similar stuff in the '99 star wars sets. Spent countless hours trying to figure out how those pictures were built as a kid
This set looks amazing, I'm glad I was able to order one. On an off note for anyone who might be interested; the "vines" that swirl around it are actually supposed to replicate the wire used to shape the tree and hold it in place as it grows. It's a small detail but it's cool to see it incorporated into an official set.
Strange he decided to wrap them around the mature trunk that wouldn't have it on a real bonsai tree as opposed to the softer limbs that actually need and can benefit from them.
Finally found this set today at Target of all places! Everywhere, including the local lego store has been sold out of this one since basically the day it came out. SO excited to build this one and have it on my desk, and I'm already putting together a bricklink order to extend the trunk and to add more foliage as I see fit and so I can keep changing it up whenever I want. :)
Honestly: I love this set and the whole theme and also the bouquet that was released as well. I studied agricultural sciences, so I am more into vegetables and fruit trees, but this gives me so many ideas to build similar plants, I can't wait until they release a whole tree or plant of some kind, maybe I will make my own tomatoe plant soon
Seeing this outside of the photos really made me love it. The photos made it not feel right. But seeing it next to you Jang made me an avid gardener fall in love.
Thank you , Jang. I am happy that you are able to still get new Lego sets to review for us all. I've been a little worried about that given the situation in California and the general challenges of getting Lego at all recently. I ordered this one and I'm looking forward to tidying up my Lego build desk to make it a focal point.
A very surprising and very nice set. Love the switch from both and using the brown frog as a limb and pink frogs as closed blossoms. Awesome review, thanks Jang!
Agree completely with this review! Love this set. Was able to get the last one on the shelf at my local target yesterday (as well as some of the other new sets). I'm a huge fan of the new style of 18+ / display sets that they are coming out with. It's right up my alley, and shows LEGO how much of an adult market they have. So many positives from this.
This set is really cool, I really love the pebbles in the pot! And that’s a ton of pink frogs, I love it! I also really like that there’s ideas for customizing the tree included with the instructions, that’s one of the best things about Lego and I like that they’re emphasizing that with this set!
These are great. Love lego doing decorative sets geared more towards adults. I opted for the flower bouquet as I have a real bonsai tree. Will probably be picking this up in the further though
I really like how this set turned out, I especially like the price. I'm going to pick one of these up as a birthday present for a friend in a couple of months. I hope Lego does more bonsai but not at too high a price point.

Hi Jang can you do more ninjago set reviews plss btw love your vids
I love this time of year. My subscription page is filled with great Lego reviews. So many cool sets this year?!
They look like pink frogs on the tree. 😀
When ninjago city gardens comes out your gonna review it. Right?
Ok
This set includes *100* pink frogs which makes this a must buy for anyone
At least one of them is a king undercover
Woah!
You have problems
Wait nvm. Your awesome.
One of the main reasons I'm picking up this set. I'm leaning towards displaying it green so I will have a ton of frogs left over.
I love how much Lego now understands and appreciates it’s older audience to make these really elegant display pieces, wow the Sakura option is beautiful
you mean the frog option?
Bionicle Tree
Just how many phoatus would you need to make that thing lol, especially considering LEGO _doesn't sell them any more_
Hello oboe what are you doing in this video
Please buy this tree and make a bionicle version for a video :D
gotem
Wait, aren't you the man who reviewed lego Sigurd?
I haven’t bought a Lego in a long time and I think I’ve found my next purchase
Same here
Waiting for mine to be delivered! The ninjago city gardens is a day 1 buy too!
It’s sold out good luck finding one
@@MrDerek-km6xw Lego online store says It's available on 27th january again. If you preorder it now you'll get one by the end of the Month.
@@waveburner1254 where do you preorder? It says out of stock
I don't know why but I find this set really interesting
For me because of those pink frogs
One HUNDRED reasons why
I know right
Beacuse frogs in pink are a rare species
Yeah me too
i got this and the bouquet of flowers on order, can't wait
Noice, good luck building!
Person: I really want a small Bonsai tree in my house but I don't want to shell out tons of money for one and I want one with zero effort maintenance.
Lego: Don't worry we got you.
Just have to dust it periodically.
Would love to see a version of this that's growing a bunch of Angry Clone Heads. xD
Imagine a whole street with those cherry trees in your LEGO city. 😍
Theme wise I think Ninjago city would be more fitting.
ONE MILLION FROGS
The only thing is that you would probably have to come up with some trunk variations to make it look more natural
This is just amazing. I feel like it could be the beginning of a larger series of sets
That looks like it could be a professional moc, probably the most beautiful Lego set ever!
thats cuz the guy who designed it is a wizard!
Already ordered it and I'm planning to build also autumnal leaves and snowy winter branches to change them every season
Maybe you should consider to insulate your house then.
That’s a fantastic idea! Just gotta find the right color of leaves then basically just copy the build in the instructions. I might just do that myself
Lego: How many frogs are we putting in this set?
Designer: Yes.
I appreciate Lego's "Pohatree" in the booklet.
Think I might pick this up for my desk at work!
Do it! I have this and the ship in a bottle on mine. Most people don't even know its lego
Careful someone doesn't try stealing it though
They’re all sold out on the Lego website and other retailer’s good luck finding one
this will make a fine addition to my collection
Hello there
Hello There
hello there
... said General Grievous.
Hello there
lego: we need a new botanical series set
the guy in the corner: we need to make a tree out of minifigures
So many pink frogs!! ❤️❤️❤️
I would want this much more if my cats weren’t flipping CRAZY for small plastic things. One of them would chew on my MegaConstrux Energy Sword.
that's how a thundercat is born right?
Well, I'm sure you can build a straw man of Lego to watch out for your other Lego creations!
Great review! I think the brown "vines" might be meant to represent the wires you wrap around a bonsai to train its shape.
Interesting. I would have never thought of that because these are on the mature trunk and not the branches. Do they ever get left on permanently? I thought wrapped wires were only used on growing tissues. Correcting slowly developing deviations on heavily lignified tissues typically requires a significantly stronger technique.
Bought on release. The sweet, sweet gwp was just the cherry on top
Little suggestion for the treehouse: use the green leaves as the base and add the fall leaves. Except for one bag I used all leaf pieces. Gives it a lusher look and it feels more like indian summer (if you have some red leaf pieces use them too).
Oh sick! My friend has some amazing real life specimens. I'll definitely be looking out for this!
The brown vines are to copy a old bonsai with air roots shooting from top of tree to bottom of soil. I love the design and added blossoms.
A beautiful, graceful plant represented perfectly by lego. I will be picking this up.
I love that they added the alternate builds in the back of the instructions. It feels like a nod to the old back-of-box builds of my childhood.
Dang now I'm sold on this set. My store had one left yesterday, but I passed on it unfortunately.
I’ve always been a fan of bonsai trees, so this set is definitely high on my list. Great little display piece, and I’m glad it won’t break the bank.
What an elegant model. I’m quite surprised with the impressive creativity of those inspiration builds at the back of the instructions. Better than alternative builds imo

This really reminds me of the tree in the new Ninjago garden - great review Jang, I hope 2021 treats you well
I absolutely love this set and this new botanical line of sets
This looks GREAT
a great start to the new year! I hope everyone has a year of positive Lego in store for them. (now if Lego could just keep their products in stock)
I got this one and the flowers. I started building the flowers yesterday. Leaving this for the end since I’m so excited to have it.

@@JANGBRiCKS My guess is that the wire was never removed after the tree matured but that's half the fun of Lego; everyone decides their own story.
Definitely my favorite set of the year so far

8:55 I wonder if that Kakama Nuva tree being there was in any way a by-product of this year being the 20th anniversary of Bionicle.
also if you notice there is the pohatu rock on the base of the tree, and the tree itself looks like a foot
I never thought that pink frogs would make such a good blossoming flower appearance, but they really do
I'm just thinking how this set would be great for making a variety of trees for any moc builds.
I would buy this as a gift for my mom, then keep all the pink frogs!
Got this from my friends for birthday and it was my first build in years. Looks great and trunk is quite fun to assemble. Also, frogs.
That set looks beautiful!
I like trees 🌳.
Hehe same lol
They're not course and not rough and not even irratating...........
I like frogs 🐸.
@@justneil176 they are soft

bless the designer for the pohatu tree
I loved that too...makes we wanna order parts just to do that
Heck, I love it when LEGO includes references to Bionicle in ANY set.
the rock on the base is genius. Just release a good g3 already!
Seeing this outside of the photos really made me love it. The photos made it not feel right. But seeing it next to you Jang made me an avid gardener fall in love.
I'd say the vine-like elements are meant to represent bonsai wire.
managed to order it on release day, can’t wait for the package. my first lego set since 2018

I love the white and pink color scheme but I just can't unsee the frogs 🤣 they look great on there though
The choice of pink frogs is really interesting 😂 Real creative on LEGO’s part
I've never bought anything from LEGO's official shop on the day of its release before, but I ordered this yesterday.
Love the pink frogs
The one made with brick separators was pretty great. I'm sure a lot of people have enough of them to pull it off.
This is SO awesome, and it would look awesome on my desk ! Thanks for the review, I'm going to see about picking this up.
Back to report I am now the happy owner of two of these. I LOVE them. Thanks Jang!!
Wow, that’s a cool set. Thank you so much for the review! :)
One of the best botanical sets
Incredible set
I’ve been tired of the latest LEGO releases with insignificant builds. This set renews my interest 🥳
This is such a neat suprise from Lego. Reminds me of the glass flower bonsai trees. This can be a great display piece, even for none Lego collectors.
A very surprising and very nice set. Love the switch from both and using the brown frog as a limb and pink frogs as closed blossoms. Awesome review, thanks Jang!
Thanks Jang. Both variations are blooming beautiful.🤠
Yes! I was waiting for someone to review this set and who else but JANG! Thank you for putting this review out so close to it's release date!
Looking foward to more sets to this botanical colection
I love this set, it’s so beautiful and peaceful. Can’t wait to get my hands on one as soon as they’re back in stock
Fantastic set! And for once I don't mind the Black Box treatment. Love the alt builds in the manual - hope we see more of this with future sets!
This and the flowers are fantastic products for lego to put out.
I actually bought the ser, i gotta say, putting it together is fun and the way it looks with the vibrant colors, its just amazing
That's awesome. I'm glad Jang reviewed this one. Hope he does the bouquet set too
I’m definitely going to get a second one of these. I can’t describe how awesome this looks in person. Not huge, but awesome.
Nice to see you back, Jang!
Dear Jang, some Bonzai have metal wires that help shape the tree. The brown wires can be part of the tree or a way to help shape it. All up to you
I just finished mine .. looks amazing .. i alternated the foliage between green and pink .. looks even better
As a fan of The Karate Kid films and the Cobra Kai Netflix series this set is definitely on my bucket list of sets to add to my collection
Really good review. Excited when the project was first announced, and super happy how it turned out. Already got mine on order from Lego shop.
"Full of life"
Yes the frogs
I bought 2 sets for me and my daughter to put together and both are on display, lovely sets!
I really love these new complex and amazing looking sets, the flower bouquet took me by surprise with how good it looked that I had to get it
Agree completely with this review! Love this set. Was able to get the last one on the shelf at my local target yesterday (as well as some of the other new sets). This would make a wonderful desk display piece I really want it!
Absolutely beautiful.
My Lego Star Wars and Superhero collecting brain is struggling to comprehend just how much I love and want this set
lego needs to do more like this. i love it!
Jang, your set reviews helped me relax this tumultuous week
Best wishes to ya.
I believe the spiral vines on the side represent the metal wiring usually used to shape a bonsai tree.
I was waiting for this! WIll you review the flowers too? Great review, Jang!
That is some nice usage of brick separators.
What a beautiful set!
This would be a great display piece for my grandmother
This will be my first set of 2021 for sure.

A beautiful calming set...
Just got and put mine together today, its pretty cool!
These are great. Love lego doing decorative sets geared more towards adults. I opted for the flower bouquet as I have a real bonsai tree. Will probably be picking this up in the further though
Jang is back with new sets reviews!!! Great! Happy new year to you! 😉
I really like how this set turned out, I especially like the price. I'm going to pick one of these up as a birthday present for a friend in a couple of months. I hope Lego does more bonsai but not at too high a price point.
