I do want to note that the swiveling motion on this is genius. It would be far more durable than a hinge! Another side note, these will work wireless across weird use cases, like i used a dongle into my iPhone and connected the usb into that. And they worked. I haven't tested it for Xbox but maybe there is some weird trick that can be done.
Wow. You answered a question I was asking myself to find out. So this works with iPhone… what did you use exactly to connect it? If it works on iphone it must work on Mac….
@@fatboynip its a thing that I wouldn't recommend only because you need a dongle for it. Like the usb adapter that apple sells. These headphones don't have bluetooth, so you have to use a dongle that goes from usb to lightning. And from there they work without any hassle. @@j3y445 cool thanks. Yeah, I got them for gaming. But I was hoping they would work elsewhere too. I found the adapter and it’s not very streamline with on the phone. It’s okay for around the house I would say.
Can anyone tell me if their pair makes a rattle noise when nothing is playing. Shake ur head and u can hear it I just replaced mine at best buy and the 2nd pair is still making the noise.
Great headset. The one and only thing about it is the mic sidetone. There is no sidetone unless you crank the volume dial on the headset to the max and also turn the sidetone on the synapse to a 100. Even then, it's very faint, and its right up to your lips. If that was not an issue, this would be the best consumer gaming headset period. Super comfy, light, and great sound.
Great review again! I bought the Redragon H510 because of you, and I can't wait to upgrade to wireless headset that you'll be recommending in the future 😂
Just bought this headset. It’s worked pretty good so far but last night it kept disconnected for a second and reconnecting over and over again. Is this a common issue with this unit? If so as much as I do like it I’ll probably return it then. And as comfortable as it is I do have to say my old steelseries headset I’m replacing is more comfortable!
For your audio equalizer settings, could you give the actual number of each Hz. I just got these headphones today and wanted to give your setup a shot. Thanks in advance.
So looking at his setting and compairing to the numbers it would be close to 31Hz = 7 / 63Hz = 5 / 125Hz = 4 / 250Hz = 3 / 500Hz = 3 / 1kHz = 3 / 2kHz = 4 / 4kHz = 5 / 8kHz = 7 / 16kHz = 7
anyone that bought these can confirm how is bass out of the box? do we need to fix any sound issue by using software like deeper and better bass or really good bass out of the box?
Been using this for 3 weeks now their awesome for both gaming and music listening I was surprised with the mic as well sounds better than my Strix Go 2.4
I just got the Corsair Virtuoso, but I still watch these vids. Incredible underrated content right here guys, makes me more comfortable with my purchases haha
@@narutoblockhead3 In my opinion the Corsair Virtuoso has a pretty neutral sound profile, nothing too extraordinary, as a matter of fact it kinda lacks bass and treble consistency. The companion software however does provide that needed adjustability so that you can tweak the EQ to your liking. In short, if you want to use it for gaming, I would definitely recommend. If you wanna use it to listen to music, this may not be your first choice. Don't get me wrong, they are and feel very premium. For me, the mic quality is what sells it. It's incredible and imo can be considered broadcast quality.
I just purchased this moments ago and i am a little bummed at how the wireless feature doesn't work with Xbox One X. However my question is, will the new Xbox Series X be able to use the USB feature? That's what i heard from one of the best buy employees.
The techne which of these wireless headsets would you recommend to other people (me) 1.logitech g pro x (2020) 2.logitech g733 3.Razer blackshark v2 pro Which one is the comfiest, best sounding, etc..
Artics 7 or Pro , after I see the video review and I go get a BlackShark V2 Pro but the sound is way more low quality than Artics 7 :( TBH THX Spartia is like not helping much instead of DtsX 7.1 that is my honest review
I've had this headset for over a year now. Yes, the skinny metal adjustment arms do loosen a bit and causes the earcups to move during wear. Easy fix is to take very fine sandpaper and roughen the arms a bit to increase friction and now they stay put. Only other issue is the shallow earcups. I got them dumbo ears and mine rest against the driver padding and they hurt after a while. I bought earpads from miko diko and they are extremely comfy now. Dare I say: stinkin cozy.
@@him9613 I don't like how the Steel Series Arctis headsets sound so I would say don't buy them. I cannot attest to the sound quality of the new Nova line up though.
@@NutGozinya i tried both and kept the blackshark v2 pro, theyre both very comfy and all that but the sound quality of the v2 pro is much better imo, the 7p has very high pitched sound and even sounds a bit shrill to me.
I’m testing both right now. 7p on ps5 and also blackshark. I think the black sharks get louder but maybe the arctis has an advantage with sound separation. It’s really tough to decide
I got a question and idk where to ask, but should I charge my headset every night like you do? Even if its like at 60 percent for example? It wont shorten the battery life? I honestly have no idea as my battery knowledge is probably a decade or two behind lol
Charging any lithium-ion battery at all will degrade the battery. For optimal lifespan, the battery should be always at a charge of 50%; however, this is unreasonable, so just trying to not let your battery go below 50% and to not let your battery go above 80% is a happy medium. Even if you slip up sometimes, by keeping it between these percentages most of the time, you will greatly slow the degradation of the lithium-ion battery compared to just draining it really low and charging it really high. TLDR; Try to keep the battery between 20-50% and 50-80% Hope this helps :)
@@killershootin6934 Apparently there's now a driver that allows the use of the USB Dongle for the PS5, so it's fine for him, I do not think it's on XBox yet.
One of the most underrated channels, there’s no way you won’t blow up soon! Thanks for helping choose how to blow my money! 😂 At least I never regret my purchase with your detailed reviews.
As far as I'm aware, most headsets work to at least some extent with PS5's 3D audio features, given that it also works on TV stereo speakers. I'd bet these suckers have pretty decent surround sound tech given their price point alone, so they're probably a safe purchase.
Have a pair of V-moda Crossfades that provide great sound, but since they arent meant for a mic, the boom mic attachment for it left a lot to be desired. I grabbed this and was really happy to see the sound from these is as good as a dedicated audio headset, but the mic is much much better. Default settings arent good, but if you use the equilizer in Synapse 3 you can make it sound real clean and clear. Voice normalization is awesome for when I have to keep my voice down while the kids are sleeping. I can mumble and it adjusts it to a preset comfortable level, and conversely prevents you from ear-graping anyone. Add in some active noise cancellation from NVIDIA Broadcast and you're sitting pretty.
@@panakinskywalker9075 They work well. I still feel the wireless connection isn't as good as it should be on the PS5, but overall satisfied. My buddy was tired of me calling people out for him on COD and bought a set for himself!
A bit late to the game but I just bought these after watching yours and other reviews. I have to admit these are absolutely amazing on the sound quality front! Was a bit worried as I have the Philips Fidelio X2HR' and my old reliable beyerdynamic DT 880's and for a gaming headset the sound quality is just great. In gaming the sound stage is immense and then for music and movies it does a very nice job!
Do you use THX for games? Me personally I dont like bow THX makes sound quality muddy. Im not good with tuning headsets which is why I find it hard adjusting to other headsets. I rocked with corsair void pro rgb which has"dolby audio" which made audio nice and clear with good spatial sound at the same time. too bad corsair void pro rgb os discotinued if not I would have bought the same headset.
Not sure if the one I bought was faulty from the beginning but as soon as I connected mine and starting talking my friends just erupted in laughter as it sounded like a world war 2 radio. Googled this issue and I saw a few people had issues with mic quality. Returned mine and bought an arctis for half the price the next day
Purchased a steelseries artics 9 about 6th months ago... earlier this morning the headset bit the dust... will no longer turn on... no lo battery warning just shut off mid use.. my friend has been trying to get me to switch to razer for the past 15 years or so... i was always a diehard steelseries fan..... when i ordered my headset from steelseries website it got lost and the mail and support would not do anything and refused to give me a refund... eventually we found out it was delivered to the wrong house and they brought it over a few weeks later... still sealed ofc... i just contacted steelseries support again due to it dieing within the warrenty and they refused to send me a new one or fix it..... just bought this headset (the v2) and am enjoying it so far.... hopefully it lasts longer than the steelseries equiv thats within the same price range
180$ maybe a real problem of this headset 150$ will be the best choice its will become the competitor with arctis 7, hyperx cloud flight s, logitech g935 and corsair virtuoso.
He had a good review, but I've used them for a whole lemme give my experience, I've treated them well maybe a drop or two, but not from high distances at all, max a few inches. Anyway the slideradjustment deteriorated very quickly and within about 2 months they would only slide down my ears and extend, the left ear cup is about 30% heavier compared to the right earcup and it gets very annoying when that also contributes to the sliding. After a year the memory foam had gotten thinner, ever since I got the headphones you turn the volume dial and you hear a static noise and feels so cheap. It now has stopped working as wireless headphones as they won't charge, my replacement is coming in tomorrow, do not buy these please, he sounds very convincing but he has not worn the headphones for as long as I have, these prices of plastic break down on you, save even more money for somthing even more luxury if you are going get headphones, steeleseries came out with new headphones that are great, very expensive but just don't buy these headphones. Thank you
This review and the 119 price convinced me to get these. Thank you. You are stinkin cozy. BTW you can replace the pads, I'll be getting replacements soon. EDIT: I got these today. All I can say is WOW. But. For more than a decade I've been using $7 wired earbuds.
Just bought them and the sound is great but I wish they were a bit louder or more. Haven't messed with the eq and everything as I'm not sure how to do it lol. Got them for my ps5 to try something different.
Getting the V2's (the exact same just wired) for my PS5. Great to know the sound is good. The eq and stuff is edited through the Razer Synapse app on PC. What you do on there will carry over to the console with the exception of THX audio (clashes with 3D audio). Hope this helps!

You can use any wireless PC headset with the adapter on an Xbox Series console. Not sure why you said that you can’t use it on Xbox.
U can’t use them on Xbox wirelessly
Another great review, keep em coming Techne!
I don’t understand why they didn’t change the pro model and made it more premium. They are just like the wired ones except the wireless part
Techno you are so underrated, I’ve been watching you for a while now and I don’t get how you only have 95k subs. Anyways, keep on doing what you’re doing and you’ll be on top soon.

BOBA THE BEST24 oh.... ok
If you are trying to find headphones for iphone, these are not it.
@@j3y445 cool thanks. Yeah, I got them for gaming. But I was hoping they would work elsewhere too. I found the adapter and it’s not very streamline with on the phone. It’s okay for around the house I would say.
Currently in the decision faze of getting a headset for my PS5. Would you say get the Blackshark V2 Pro or the Arctis 9?
I had the Arctis 7p and they hurt my head badly. If you have a big head I’d recommend staying away from arctis.
@@BubbasBathWater so what do you use now? These v2?

Ive been waiting for this review since i saw the headset come out
When was it released??
Great headset. The one and only thing about it is the mic sidetone. There is no sidetone unless you crank the volume dial on the headset to the max and also turn the sidetone on the synapse to a 100. Even then, it's very faint, and its right up to your lips. If that was not an issue, this would be the best consumer gaming headset period. Super comfy, light, and great sound.
Great review again! I bought the Redragon H510 because of you, and I can't wait to upgrade to wireless headset that you'll be recommending in the future 😂
Nice to see a guy who seems to really enjoy what he does!
Thanks for the review brother! Just ordered this from Best Buy it’s $20 off!
Did you update it on Synapse?
For your audio equalizer settings, could you give the actual number of each Hz. I just got these headphones today and wanted to give your setup a shot. Thanks in advance.
So looking at his setting and compairing to the numbers it would be close to 31Hz = 7 / 63Hz = 5 / 125Hz = 4 / 250Hz = 3 / 500Hz = 3 / 1kHz = 3 / 2kHz = 4 / 4kHz = 5 / 8kHz = 7 / 16kHz = 7
Can you set up the sound profile with a laptop and then move the headset to the PS5 and keep the sound profile you set up?
I'm busting to know this as well mate. They'd be well worth it if you can.
anyone that bought these can confirm how is bass out of the box? do we need to fix any sound issue by using software like deeper and better bass or really good bass out of the box?
The standard bass is really good you just have the possibility to make it even better with the software

I just got the Corsair Virtuoso, but I still watch these vids. Incredible underrated content right here guys, makes me more comfortable with my purchases haha
How does that headset sound? Good bass or anything can you recommend.
I recently got a PS5. What would you recommend? Steelseries Arctis 7P or Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Wireless?
I have the same question
Bro same im thinking of this one because i use glasses
Thanks for the review you’ve convinced me to pull the trigger on my first headset.

So... does it work with the Xbox series X ?

@@yama3492 arctis 7 sucks so hard
I've had this headset for over a year now. Yes, the skinny metal adjustment arms do loosen a bit and causes the earcups to move during wear. Easy fix is to take very fine sandpaper and roughen the arms a bit to increase friction and now they stay put. Only other issue is the shallow earcups. I got them dumbo ears and mine rest against the driver padding and they hurt after a while. I bought earpads from miko diko and they are extremely comfy now. Dare I say: stinkin cozy.
should i get these or artics 7+
@@him9613 I don't like how the Steel Series Arctis headsets sound so I would say don't buy them. I cannot attest to the sound quality of the new Nova line up though.

How are the headphones?
Pretty solid, the only downside is that they are not as good on console as they are on PC, but other than that the headphones are pretty good
@@GunzMC thanks, appreciate it.
Not helping me get them to work.
Would you recommend these for the ps5?
Not for Consoles. No. You should get the wired versions, unless you intend on using them on your PC, too.
@@Blue-Lady why would you say not for consoles? There a myth about a delay?
@@killershootin6934 Apparently there's now a driver that allows the use of the USB Dongle for the PS5, so it's fine for him, I do not think it's on XBox yet.

One of the most underrated channels, there’s no way you won’t blow up soon! Thanks for helping choose how to blow my money! 😂 At least I never regret my purchase with your detailed reviews.
lol, thank you so much!
Are these tunable on the PS5 or is it just a flat default EQ you're stuck with? Thanks for the review!
Does anyone know how these work, if at all, with the PS5 3D Audio??
Would you recommend these over the G Pro X Wireless? Thanks!
Definitely going with razor
The microphone on the wireless g pro is, in my opinion, dissapointing..
Couldn't find the answers I needed reading product documentation but you nailed it all. Can't wait to try them on my ps5!
Did they work on your PS5?
How good are these at keeping your ears cool? For example, would it keep my ears cool while playing VR? Thanks!

Not sure if the one I bought was faulty from the beginning but as soon as I connected mine and starting talking my friends just erupted in laughter as it sounded like a world war 2 radio. Googled this issue and I saw a few people had issues with mic quality. Returned mine and bought an arctis for half the price the next day
Clicked this quicker than i can blink
I got my boyfriend one and using honey I was able to save 27 dollars which made it almost 150. That’s in the razor site.
Is there a big difference from upgrading to Artics 5 to Blackshark wireless in terms of sound quality ?
11:13 my soul jumped out of my body
What's the best headset you ever bought for counsel such as noise cancelling, mic, sound, build..... please tell me
He had a good review, but I've used them for a whole lemme give my experience, I've treated them well maybe a drop or two, but not from high distances at all, max a few inches. Thank you
Ps I'm getting a replacement and selling them to a friend or giving em to my sibling
You can replace the cushions you pry the thing holding them and then take it off and replace it
This review and the 119 price convinced me to get these.
