Wow making assumptions already before hearing all the evidence. This is why I enjoyed being a court reporter for 20 years. It was always like a storybook. Each attorney did their job and that’s why we are supposed to have an impartial jury. It’s all a facade. People usually already have their mind made up based on what one attorney may have said, what the defendant may or may not say, and sometimes have made their mind up once they hear the state’s opening and then when the defense does their opening they change it again. It’s just best never to put yourself in a place where humans are deciding your fate❤
How does the state get to call the dead person a “victim”? Isn’t that why the case is occurring to determine if the dead person is a “victim” of a crime. Seems prejudicial.
This story does not make sense. You mean to tell me the police were on scene and they let this happen. They knew her intentions and let it happen. They should be office the force. They should have had one of them leave before this got to this point.
100%! This is why it's sooo important to remember presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty! The state has ALL the burden to prove their case. She absolutely has a right to defense. Let the facts and evidence speak.
Throwing rocks in my glass house comment: Bringing little kids into her own deadly behavior - ok, murderous behavior - was pretty wretched. Saying 'bye' adds to the chill factor. Hoping for a conviction. And that her kids are well taken care of forever.

Quaneesha making bold remarks to Demonte in front of police, wouldn't seemingly add up to a whole lot in depicting her as not scared of him (even with the cops being just moments away from leaving) being that her demeanor towards him at the time... couldve been her way of expressing to Demonte that he needs to take her seriously... that not only will she call the police on him, but she'll also willingly be secondarily harsh in doing so... such as press charges even. And you can't overly hold it against someone that is... to be spiteful after having to delay returning to their own home as long as Quaneesha did, and probably tiredly did so after an all nighter or what not. Also, in the event that Demonte happened to lie about being hit with a tire iron, it's a wonder if when he interacted or even personally approached Quanesha for the very last time... could he have seen that tire iron in her hand as an excuse to try to physically abuse her before heading out the door... thinking that since the police just got done hearing her speak negatively before she next brings a tire iron into the house... then if worst comes to worst, Demonte could just tell them police that she attacked him with a metal bar, leaving him with no other choice than to affirmatively defend himself in a physical manner.... Lastly, it's a wonder if there's any chance that is, of this seven year old daughter of hers somehow mishearing Quaneesha... that said, perhaps this daughter could've thought that she heard her mom say "tell the police he hit me" (while who knows how worked up a seven year old could've been at that time, especially if this was indeed a disfunctional household at times), but may've been told by Quaneesha "tell them that he's hit me" (as in a instance of which previoysly took place) or "tell them he'll hit me" (as in future tense if the police don't personally assist in Demonte's removal from the household).
If she’s found guilty this child will carry guilt of putting her mom in jail! Even though she’s not responsible, she will certainly feel that way when she grows up ugh prosecutors are dead wrong on this, it’s child abuse !!!!

Omg you are ridiculous. He’s dead, that makes him a victim. It’s a murder trial genius.
Seriously? "Victim": a person harmed, injured or killed as a result of a crime, accident or other event or action.
I feel like, if not this night, it would've been another night, and if not him, it would be her. 《Smh》
I definitely agree
This story does not make sense. You mean to tell me the police were on scene and they let this happen. They knew her intentions and let it happen. They should be office the force. They should have had one of them leave before this got to this point.
I need to hear all the evidence before jumping into conclusions
Finally somebody with some sense!
100%! This is why it's sooo important to remember presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty! The state has ALL the burden to prove their case. She absolutely has a right to defense. Let the facts and evidence speak.
@@gmimi2It's actually presumed innocent until proven guilty!
@@kazshaw3945 You are absolutely correct. I will edit my comment! Thank you! I did not mean to leave that out! I appreciate that. 😊
@@kazshaw3945 I fixed it! Correct words matter. Again, thank you.
911 operator with the usual sense of urgency…
Why would you not expect the operator to act calmly?
Hysterics isn't how you get a 7yr old totally correct info.
I thought the 911 operator did good. She was talking to a 7 yo. She was calm, asked easy questions.
Lock her up. Throw away the key.
Damn it sound like she was wildin out
Lady you think you’re smart cookie, why you sitting in front of a judge???
This lady is wrong and she needs to be held accountable it was murder.why kill just leave that relationship.
Throwing rocks in my glass house comment:
Bringing little kids into her own deadly behavior - ok, murderous behavior - was pretty wretched. Saying 'bye' adds to the chill factor.
Hoping for a conviction. And that her kids are well taken care of forever.
sounds like she had a right to defend herself.
Sounds like bullshit and she murdered a man after hitting him with a tire iron
Girl what? She was the only one threatening.
So she shoot him while the police were outside 🤷🏽♀️
Premeditated first degree murder not self defense
It seems like their relationship was two way abusive but I wonder what made her unalive him that particular day.
He was watching her children, was she in fear he was going to hurt the children?
Of was it just red mist.
The evidence seems against her but haven't watched defense opening yet.
I feel for the children 😢
Most IPV is mutual combat and when it is, 52% of the time, women initiate it.
If she thought he was so bad, why keave children with him?? Just go to judge and get a restraining order. She needed a babysitter.
Ik it's not funny. But I lost it when the prosecutor says "she say's bye..bye" 😆 the way he sarcastically say's it
It seems like she shot him out of anger. She left the kids with him all night, she should of sat or left in her car until things calmed down.
She's done
Wicked, she shouldn't be walking around
Rotten apple
You all gotta watch the opening statement from the defense .. two different stories. I believe the defense has a stronger opening statement. Sorry
No, you're right. I've heard both sides, I'm with the defense.
Emotion is not neccesarily better. Follow the facts, not the emotion.
She put her children in that type of situation and she sounded very calm doing so. Lock that hoe up for long time!
Anyone named Quaneesha is automatically guilty. 🤣
Demote aka DOLO is no better 😂

Murder
The defendant is wearing glasses. That's a sign ... Guilty!!!!
I thought it was the shape of the forehead or shoe size that determined guilt! You learn something every day.

Don’t feel bad for the guy, he was too comfortable with getting away with physically abusing her. She had enough, and showed him no more!
If i was terrified from a a bully i wouldn't be out till next day leave him babysitting
You must like her or sun 😂 well she going to jail so I guess you missed your chance
The judge took it too easy on this murderer.
Why not go stay somewhere else until police got him away from house?
‼️‼️‼️Put her under the jail‼️‼️‼️
So when we start wearing shorts and mid drifts to court??😂😂 our society is done!! Bet they're her peoples!!
@Court tv why can’t we watch the whole trial? Why is it in short videos???
How often are you going to put this up before fixing it @ CourtTV?😮
The audio keeps breaking up not just this time almost every other video it does that & @CoutyTv ignoring it !!!!!! 😡😡😡
I didn't hear it break up... the only time the audio 'stopped' was when youths/children's names were being said.
Was silenced to protect names.
They usually drop the audio when private information is being said.
There are two videos up so far one is for the defense and one is for the prosecution open statements
It's murder alright.
Thats whats wrong with this world. Everybody that takes job to uphold the law in this country always seems to not and then wants to blame other people for their miss trust.. smh
Why do they take a break right in the middle of the opening statement?
The jury got it right. The judge did not . She said,, I sentence you to 20 years ,,,,,,,,JUST KIDDING!
She was sentenced right.
I think she was defiantly a victim of domestic violence but was her shooting him really self defense in that moment? I don't think so but it will be interesting to here the testimony of how it went down the day of the incident
Yes, good point. I think she was a victim as well but not in that moment. I think she was sick of his abuse and she snapped. The audio isn’t in her favor.
I don’t know what she was but I believe she was the aggressor and initiator of the violence in this scenario.
Chances are she was just as toxic and abusive as him. DV that is one way happens about 24% of the time. Usually it's mutual combat and the woman usually starts it, up to about 40%
@@normbatchelor7403most women are the aggressors.
@@OmniMale I'm thinking she definitely held her own with him, she's not a battered woman by any means or at least she doesn't appear to be. But I guess in this particular case the question is was her life in danger the moments leading up to her killing him yes or no?
SHE PLANNED THAT BEFORE AND DID KILL HIM ! GUILTY !
2:38 did she really come to court like that
Is this live anywhere?
Doesn’t sound like she was afraid of him if she was mouthing off at him in front of the police! Maybe they both gave as good as they got. Defense had a good talking lawyer for opening but I’m guessing state must have good evidence.
It seems to be like a new kind of divorce over there you guys !(watching from Europe)
Don't you have your hands full with ppl like Lucy Letby, the UK nurse who killed babies? Mind ya business.
Your audio is no good.
This lady did everything by the book and this is her house and she called the police many times = and I swear this is self defence from a man who was a complete bully
Yeah he was watching her kids while she party what a bad guy smh lol

Seems like she had decided what to do and was setting this all up as a self defense.
Happy for her
A black solan judge looking out for another black woman who murdered a man in cold blood. Unacceptable

Death penalty.
If she’s found guilty this child will carry guilt of putting her mom in jail! Even though she’s not responsible, she will certainly feel that way when she grows up ugh prosecutors are dead wrong on this, it’s child abuse !!!!
I hate courts TV the stream always breaks up is so glitchy
Not guilty. Self defense
So much evidence in that opening statement she should a took a plead deal

Them officers need to be fired and charged. THE POLICE ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN.
