“Dang it!” This is great and funny, thanks bro👌🏾 you get what you pay for😂 my 05 honda is relinke as shit but man these maintenance are a pain in the ass! Especially with doing the job with the wrong tools
to relieve the fuel pressure in these hondas/acuras you want to disconnect the PGM relay located behind the glove box. the blue relay is the one you want.
Next time its better to remove the fuel pump fuse then crank it until it dies and then take your gas cap off then disconnect your negative battery cable. Then its deppresurised.
Pumps dont like what leaks is when the ring gasket is old and loose doesnt tight anymore What Im guessing is the gaskets u change it first you didnt wrong you left the uneven if you dont do it right gasket get into tank at least a piece of it and that is where gasoline gets out or leaks looks pump still good old but good well at least you show how to do it I just replaced my ring and gasket and it was a little pain in the ass took me around 10 min to make it seal and ring went finaly in just had to push it first and once got some treats I just hit it around and done. I had same problem and my first tought was replace the tank I thought had a hole or somthing but once I opened the pump I see gasoline and the ring was kind loose so was a good cheap repair 15 dollars from napa. Good luck thanks for video
after doing some more research; after disconnecting the switch to the pump start the car until it stalls, then take out and put pack the gas cap, and then unplug the battery and it should be depressurized.
Derrty92lude absolutely not. I’m keeping it there to help with the resale value! Joking aside I took the whole trunk apart and found a real 24k diamond necklace. I had it checked out and it was real. The jeweler said it was worth 300-400 bucks.
They do have different part numbers. They looked very similar and if there is any difference I did not notice. Most of the time the motor it’s self if you’re just replacing it and they would be the same.
TachySteve oh okay it’s because my car has been smelling like GAS inside lately so I checked the fuel pump and it is leaking around the O rings so I’m not sure if it would be better to replace just that or all of the pump . And also I was looking for them on eBay and it says that the 1.7 engine fuel pump fits the 2.0 engine fuel pump ? You know if that’s true thanks!!
Very badly filmed.. as I needed to see how the plastic washer was placed on the fuel pump. All I could see is loose change under the seat. Which this is / will be first time fitting a fuel pump.. Two people are needed in 🎥 filming
This should’ve been written a fuel pump assembly replacement not fuel pump which is a separate main steel component inside the plastic assembly man? I searched fuel pump not assembly which this video poped up instead
Your absolutely funny 😂 I love this video. You just showed this girl how to fix her own car 👍🏼😚 thank you
Thank you for this! Exactly what I needed to fix my EP3
“Dang it!” This is great and funny, thanks bro👌🏾 you get what you pay for😂 my 05 honda is relinke as shit but man these maintenance are a pain in the ass! Especially with doing the job with the wrong tools
The I don’t want any problems part really sealed the deal for me on this one

Future people: Giant pain in the ass. Please don't do it and risk breaking it. Just take out the fuse instead.
That arrow means it points to the back of the car showing you how to orientate the fuel pump
The good part starts at 13:25
Thank you for your help, just changed it out this weekend
Thanks for the video bro it was very helpful
"especially the Honda engineers, you guys were on crack. Especially when you designed the ep3" 🤣 so true man!

Thanks for the video. Honda fit. After coils. Plugs and valve adjustment....
Dude your back seat looks like the Trevi Fountain!
Dam all with one hand 👌 this motivated me to get it done my self. and save $700 dollars no tax included at Firestone .🥺
I believe in you! You got this!

gasket should fit on from underneath when the pump is out of tank
All the money under that 😮 I'm removing mine for the money 😅
Does opening the gas intake value release the pressure? Thanks for the video

How did you get the pump assembly to stay down while tightening the lock ring?
Gravity. I didn’t have that issue
I feel like Hondas aint what they used to be
"It was only $250"
lmao is that a honda tattoo
Great video! Try a small jar to catch the fuel. Also whats the part number off of Amazon? Thank you
Conrad Gumbs I got the part number off of hondapartscheap.com and then searched the part number on amazon.
All you had to do was put the old screw cap back on, works and seals just fine and would have saved you all the pain. Did that on mine.
Did the smell of gas gone away?
Randy Smith sure did!!!
TachySteve I have the same problem.
Do you know if another Honda fuel pump would fit the Ep3 like say from a Honda 2001-2005 is it the same kind of pump ??

A car will only blow up on an empty tank of gas not full tank of gas !!!!
ever seen the movie Aliens, when that shit pops out of dudes stomach?...... 9:30
It was fun to watch you suffer dude. Lol Happy you got here fixed though.
It is like ripping off guts from a car lol
Why does everyone try to do these videos one handed lmao
Probably because most of us only have two? 🤔
which website did you bought the fuel pump
Misheck Mushangwe Amazon. A dealer was selling one for pretty cheap. They also got it to me faster than the dealers in my area.
how much are they?
Clean that dirty ass car.
Buddy, I guarantee if you put flame to that gas, it WILL ignite.

Nope you're pretty smart you know how to change a fuel filter in a Civic and I'm looking at the video trying to figure out how to do it.
