It, would be nice if a Mexican that can cook made authentic Mexican food for them to try. And not just try tacos, nachos, quesadilla, and burritos but mole (like she said), enchiladas, tostadas, tres leches, horchata, etc.
(but I do understand that getting certain ingredients is difficult since they are in Korea.)

My husband is one of those people that it tastes like dish soap to :( . He lucked out marrying a Hispanic person because that is what we mostly use in our cooking :D . He says he loves my cooking and will eat it even if there is cilantro in it.

I love the Korean guy. He's so open and funny. Very kind. You can feel he's genuinely a happy person. That and he wasn't being snobby but tried to enjoy himself. The girl was cool too and she did the best explanations you could but some things just don't translate well. Great episode.

SO TRUE, my grandmas are from different ends of the same state and they cook completely different. For example, one puts hominy in her menudo and the other doesn’t, one uses chocolate in her mole and the other doesn’t. One puts stuff inside the enchiladas the other puts stuff on top.

I think that depends on the region and/or personal taste. I barely eat it. Just a very little in enchiladas and that's all for me.
We eat crema here in America but it tastes so differnt for me because they don't have it in Portugal when we go to Portugal,but I eat it on my tacos sometimes

I’m from the South and we don’t really eat crema I actually hate it I think it’s disgusting also the only time I ate a Burrito was when I went to Juarez because that Northern Mexican food in the south se eat southern food

all of that is a very tex-mex thing, basically america's take on mexican food. when eating mexican food in mexico we usually keep everything very simple, just tortillas and meat for burritos or tacos. although i could also argue burritos aren't that mexican either, i barely see them in mexico

We know that the flavor of Mexico or another country cannot be copied very easily. Some of the international food is obviously adapted to each country, but nothing better than trying it in the country of origin.

Very interesting watching people who aren’t Mexican try our food! I wish I could speak every language to be able to communicate. It’s cool to me how she’s Mexican but speaks Korean! Also I noticed when they say bread in Korean it sounds like “pan” which is how you say bread in Spanish☺️
It's the same in Japanese! It's パン, or pan. Bread wasn't eaten very much in Japan before the Spaniards came, so they used the Portuguese word for it pão. They ended up changing the pronunciation a little bit so they can say it a little easier, so now it's pan!

"pico de gallo" is a mix between tomatoes, onion, coriander and sometimes chilli to make it spicy and you can add it to a dish like the quesadillas or molletes to make the dish fresh. the traduction of the name would be "rooster's beak" but I don't really know why it's called like that

@8:14 The Korean kid was mistaken. That wasn't a Korean style burrito, it was a Mission-style burrito (Cal-Mex cuisine) which includes rice. But whoever made that burrito didn't know how to wrap it. So it was too fat.

"pico de gallo" is just that, pico de gallo. It's a type of salsa made by chopped raw ingredients like raw jalapeño, tomato, onion, and sometimes lime, queso fresco (fresh cheese from Mexico), and nopales (wild cactus). So yeah, that's pico de gallo :D

Great video!! I would like to add though burritos are actually an American misconception. They do not exist in Mexico sadly :(. I love my burritos, but yes sadly not an actual Mexican meal. In mex they have something similar which are called “burritas” but they’re pretty much like flautas only in flour tortilla form. Someone correct on any of this if I’m wrong 🙏🏻
That looks like chipotle tho, but even then I feel like the “Mexican food” wasn’t really properly introduced, this is just basic Mexican food that everyone knows, we have many varieties like menudo, pozole, chilaquiles, sopes, tortas, chiles rellenos, tamales, camarones a la diabla, ceviche, flautas, guisado de puerco en salsa verde, carnitas, and so much more. Im tired of our food being reduced to tacos McCain quesadillas, burritos, and chips with the jalapeños that aren’t even spicy to begin with. Such a downer.

Mexican food isn’t good outside of Mexico or America because they can’t make it right. They lack ingredients that are more easily accessible here and they don’t have the cultural understanding of how it should be made and how it should taste. Mexican food in general is not as popular in Europe, Asia, or Africa which is why it’s not that good.
The only Mexican and Latin American foods people love who live outside of the Americas are Chocolate, Chiles, and Vanilla. And maybe Avocados if you live in Australia. Other than that, Avocados aren’t well liked outside of the Americas.
And to those confused. Yes, your Danish or French chocolate desert is a Mexican food. As well as the chiles you use to spice up your food. The chocolate ingredient I mean is the Mexican food, not the actual dish itself in case anyone misunderstands.
The etymology of Chocolate is Aztec, originally from the Nahuatl language, Chocolatl.
I am Mexican, and i can saysthe items were "Mexican" however the way they have been prepared are is not. That is straight up Americanized Mexican food. Best Example; the Girl says rice in a burrito we dont do.... That is NOT correct. Never been done in Mexico. But they do that crap in the states all day as filler. Really, for any of these videos, you should work on getting authentic ethnic chefs and authentic ingredients to do these challenges.

I've eaten burritos in NL, Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Chihuahua & Baja California Sur (Chihuahua's being the best, montados are the bomb!) and I have never seen any burrito with rice in it (and putting rice in a flour tortilla just sounds kinda wrong). Putting rice in a burrito is pretty much a US thing.
Like you said it depends on the region, I’ve lived in a lot of states here in Mexico and I’ve only had rice in the burritos in one of them and it was more of like a taco de arroz rojo, so neither of you are wrong, just from different regions ^~^

Why is everyone so mad in the comments, every state has different foods and preferences. She did not provide the food, the company did. And she honestly did say the burrito wasn’t Mexican style and that the only thing that was close to tasting like it was the quesadilla.

So..that isn't really authentic.. It's the American version if Taco Bell.
As a Mexican™, I always find our food is changed so much. For example, there is usually so much meat (carne) added and hardly any cheese (queso) in our (non mexican) quesadillas. And like she said, we don't usually add rice but it is just so sad to see our food boiled down into memes or artificial corn dust and so many people have not (and need to) try real authentic mexican food, not what joke of a nacho is sold in so many places. An the amount of people butchering pico de gallo, XD

This reminds me more of TEXMEX food you find in Chipotle, or Qdoba restaurant in Texas. Regardless I really enjoyed the video and now I’m craving a TEXMEX burrito. From my experience Koreans love “Menudo” an authentic dish from Mexico.
