- Back at the swamp road project for yet another eventful day! This job site is the gift that just keeps on giving. I’m working to build the pad and upper part of the road and I have run into a rock wall, literally. But time will tell if the CATs prevail…

I've had jobs like that, they seem like they will never end, and every day is a struggle. They will make you appreciate the easier days for sure.
I loved the message. I'm just glad God has sign posts out where I can find them, because it seems like I go in the wrong direction a lot. Lol. Stay safe brother.
Yup, I know what you mean on those jobs.
I may just see you on the roads in the wrong direction. I’m there occasionally myself…
But God is good for sure

Yes Sir, that is life for sure! Thanks Jonathan I appreciate what you said…

@@tristardiggin you’re doing a better job than so many churches and news stations with an agenda.
You might be reaching a smaller number of views. But you are actually REACHING the way you deliver, not pushing people away and that’s going to trickle down ❤️
Thank you Jonathan and the Lord is definitely working! It’s awesome to watch what He is doing…
Great video, I really enjoyed the ending. A man that works hard and is a believer is what this world needs more of these days!
Thanks I appreciate what you said! And we definitely need more believers and doing some good work…

That wall is tough but the product you’re getting from it will make that road last a lifetime. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Jon, there is definitely some great material on this job site. The road should be around for a long time…
Sam
Great video and message once again. Thanks Sam
Thank you Bruce! 😀
It’s almost as if the machines are under dimensioned for the job, but smaller bites are also getting the job done! Nice work and video!
Thanks I appreciate that! Getting big bites is a full load for the 313 for sure…

Enjoyed video and message brother! That’s a tough wall to dig. Life can be hard like that wall but God will always get you through it or over it!!
Thanks Cody and well said!

Enjoyed watching the video. It’s awesome how that rock out that bank packed in that road that looks really good. The message hit home again. Scratching and clawing. That’s the way I feel. Working three jobs right now with a plan and goal. Plans and goals can change but yea scratching and clawing. Take care.
Yeah Brian, I do a bit of scratching and clawing too!
Definitely glad to find that rock and dirt to build the pad and road, it is good stuff…

Good work! I was hollering at the first of the video “its not in 4wd, its not in 4wd” lol. We don’t have the chert rock but looks like it works well. Great message!
I sure wish I had heard you hollering. It was one of those deals where you accidentally turned it off at some point and you are sure it’s turned on! 🤪🥵 I thought you might like that hat a feller gave me…😀
@@tristardiggin ha!! I commented on wrong video 🙈I was watching the new road video.
Looking good over there I see you found some good road and pad building material there 😃

That rock wall seems very tough, and it gets taller as you dig... The 313 WILL get it done though me and my brother enjoy excavation work as well... I appreciate the message it is always great to hear... Thanks🙏
Right, the wall is definitely getting taller. But the ole 313 will get it out of there. Hope you guys do well with your work. Glad you enjoyed the message too…

There you are, inspiring the next generation of plant operators, Sam !!
Young Max has gone and followed his dream, all it took was one spark and a channel !😃
I also follow Ed and gave Half Tilt his nickname 😂
You are scratching away at the stone, one stroke at a time.... 😬💪 a ripper tooth may be worth hiring before a hammer 🤔
It is turning out to be great road base material, reckon you will need a drainage pipe under there if possible 🤔 but then you probably have one ready to go !! 😂
Hey Alex, that is right and pretty cool how a UA-cam channel a half a world away can encourage folks to chase their dreams.
“Half Tilt” now that is a good one. Haven’t heard that before.🤪😀
I have ordered some rock teeth and I’m thinking that will be a big help.
Yup, planning a pipe when I get the final grade figured out on the road. Definitely have enjoyed this project…
Job is lookin good Sam and appreciate the encouragment . Thanks for sharing and them rock teeth should make a big difference I hope .
You are very welcome and I appreciate you supporting the channel! I’m hoping the rock teeth are going to be the ticket to cutting through that rock.

Another great video and message. You do great work.
I appreciate that Kevin! Thanks for supporting the channel…
Road is looking great! Love the way the hawg backs over the piles. We don’t have any material like that in my area. Would be nice to have especially on site.
Man what a nice hat you had on during the message 😅. Loved the word!
I thought you might like that hat. The hog does a great job moving dirt around too.
Thanks
Another great video! Thank you for the messages they are always very encouraging. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Thanks, I appreciate that!
Looks like you found some rocks with that dozer!!
Yup, plenty of rock around this place…
Great job Sam
Thank you, I appreciate you supporting the channel…
Just a helpful tip. Anything shale an rock like ur dealing with. Its allot easier on machine when ya get on top of it an dig upwards. Depending on circumstance. I found it allot easier myself that is
Thanks Jesse, I appreciate the info. I sure wish I could get on the top side to dig but it’s too steep on this site. But you are right it digs a lot better that way…
Sam
Dynamite !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the message.
Thank you Mike! 😀
Great video I really enjoy your channel. I watch a lot of videos like yours and yours is one of the best. I especially love the devotions at the end. I am a retired heavy equipment operator and pastor. I really miss running equipment and preaching! I hope to get back to preaching as soon as my health lets me. God bless you and you and your family are in my prayers!
Thank you Tracy and I certainly appreciate those prayers! That’s cool that you ran all the good ole equipment back in the day. I hope you can get back to preaching too, I’m sure you miss it!

Great job Sam. Love that road block you used
Thanks Ron! Yup, that is my home made stay out gate…🤪🤣
Looks better already, putting the chirt on the road will definitely make a great base for finishing up with stone.
Thanks Charles! It is definitely going to be a great road. I have lots of that rock and dirt to build it with…

My 1st time viewing, I think you do pretty awesome for a one man show. Too bad dynamite service are so costly but, imagine 3-4 holes would probably take a lot of work out of it.

Thank you Dave, glad you enjoyed it!
How’s it going Sam? Looks like you found some good base material for your road.
Really like your videos Sam and you had a great message as always thanks 👍🏻
Thanks Tom! This job site is blessed with some great road material. Actually a lot more than I need but that is a good problem to have. Not having enough starts getting expensive to haul in…
God Bless
Sam, thank you for another enjoyable video!! Glad the 313 is back in operation for you. Any word from the dealer on why the turntable had issues?
Hey Phil thanks and I’m glad to have the 313 back as well! No definite cause for it other than the big nut that hold that gear came loose and started backing off causing it to leak into the swing gear housing. Thankful it was a warranty repair…
Thanks

That was a great message Sam! You have the road looking good. It's a good thing you have the rock on site. It would really be a mess if you had to haul rock in.😂 I'm try to catch up on my videos. That’s funny! Well, at least you are running something…🤣🤣🤣
@@tristardiggin 😞 no 🤣
Don’t know if you are done with this job yet, but I’d say more trees above the cut will have to come out to make more building pad.
I’m still digging on it! That rock is getting tougher to dig every bucket full. I ordered some rock teeth today so that should help…
Thanks,
Sam
It's interesting to see how others do the same job differently than you would do it.
I will humbly say how I would do that job.
I would remove the "rock" with the excavator and load it in the dump truck, then I would put about 14 to 15 loads of that truck on the street every 100 meters.
(To make a 30cm layer, each truck load covers 6 meters long and 4 meters wide, that would be 24m2x 0.30cm = 7m3 each truck.)
After having all the rock on the street, I would use the dozer to spread it and compact it.
Thanks Adrian, appreciate it. It is definitely interesting how things are done differently. And all jobs sites have their own challenges for sure…
@@tristardiggin
maybe a ripper is a good acquisition for that 313
@chevyford100 been thinking about one. I did order some rock teeth yesterday. Curious to see how those cut through the slate rock…
Thnx brother
Thanks, God Bless…
Looking good Sam! I use the tree gates as well lol! I don't know the answer so asking, but would it of been easier to cut a bench out on top for the excavator and pull toward you digging and swing over to the hog. May be to risky sliding but I really enjoy when excavator is higher than the truck anytime I can make it happen.
Yup, those tree gates work well! 🤪
A bench and pulling upward would definitely cut through the rock a lot better and load better too. It is just so steep up there and getting up there, I just didn’t want to risk it.
Thanks
Need to get yourself some Dynamite that'll take care of them rocks😂😂😂😂😂 God bless and take care
I agree and it would be fun too! 🤪😀🤣
Some times you will have those days.
Dusty that is definitely the truth! 🤪
My word is overcomer amen Sam
Thanks Jason and Amen!

Thanks😀
You have come a long way from when I first started watching your videos she you pretty much juts had your mini digger & farm truck.
Your definitely pulling in much bigger & more challenging jobs now which makes for great content & hopefully a healthy bank account for you 😉
Would a ripper claw for the excavator work better at ripping that rock out than the toothed bucket? Or maybe you will just have to buy a 30tn machine like Chris from Letsdig18 LOL
Thank you Womble UK! It seems like many years ago that I started the videos and things have definitely changed. I’ve been blessed for sure!
I certainly enjoy the bigger and challenging jobs. It keeps your mind working all the time.
I would love to have a ripper for the 313 but they are pretty expensive and the 313 doesn’t have a quick connect so it would be time consuming and a pain to change back and forth from the bucket to load and the ripper to rip it out. However, I did order some rock teeth yesterday and I’m hoping that will be a big help. A big ole digger like Chris has would be sweet!
Question for you!!
Wouldn’t it have been better to haul that in the jcb truck instead of pushing t all that way??
Well right after I asked that and sent it you started to load the truck. So I had to laugh about that
Hey Michael, we were thinking on the same page there…
Thanks,
Sam
How much horsepower does your dozer have?
