What a marvelous performance! Nobody could play like Quo. Full tilt from the first second to the last, the entire gig. This great clip brought back good memories. Thank you 🙏
Quo was and will always be great. Saw them last Wednesday again in Amsterdam. They rocked. But having said the line up with Rick, Alan, John and Francis was unique. Alan and John giving Quo that harder edge. Awesome song fron an awesome band.
Classic. Saw em the first time New Years Eve Dreamland Margate 69/70. ABout twenty of us round the stage. They were phenomenal. Rick was walking around by himself later. Got to chat with him. Top bloke. Saw them many times through the mid 70's. Brilliant live.
thanks for posting. Saw them in 75 in a small town in Tennessee opening for Joe Walsh when i was 17. Was expecting "Matchstick Men" type stuff but got this instead. Excellant performance. Walsh put the audience to sleep after having to follow this.
One of the best live bands in the 70's. This show is example of how they rocked! I saw them on the Quo tour in America and they blew the roof off the place. @Joint In the Woods N.J. I Still listen to the early stuff.
The Studioversion is good, the liveversions are intense, good and wild. Thats the reason they where called frantic four, they played heavy, wild, good pure rockn roll with much overdrive. When i listen trough the songs in my car i had to turn it loud, like it big fat mama in marquee 1972 rough uncut masterpiece.
This is absolutely legendary - the original line - up as has been mentioned several times before....unfortunately I don't think there is any snowballs chance in hell that various hatchets will be buried for this line - up to ever speak again, let alone perform again...
chuffed to fuck that they still play this song live now..memorie of the piledriver, hello era flood back..golden times..live wise they still rock!Quo forever..
I've started to watch this upload so many times, then switched to something else because of the quality.... Its now one of my favourites!! Tons of energy, and seeing 'THE' Quo having so much fun on stage is well worth the not quite HD quality. ONE TO WATCH.
Im bored with "who was the best" arguement that always finishes up with Quo fans slagging each other off. Quo were a great band with a great lineup early on. Perhaps they would have become stale if they had gone on with the same lineup - we will never know. Fresh blood may have kept them fresh. Quo were great. Quo are great. Quo have always been great so forget the arguing and enjoy their music. If you clicked on this video, you are probably a Quo fan after all.
the first i heaqrd of status quo i think the a couple of there hits such as down down from on the level and caroline and their subsequant albums blue for you which was a complete change in their style of beat.
Powerful unit, and the look between lancaster and coghlans eyes, then altogether at the kit said it with this lot back in those days.............QUO were QUO in the seventees i grew up with ! saw them 18 times, then gave up by late 90's, face it when pip williams joined producer they were fucked, and hate to say it but rossi was part of it,cos after rockin' all over the world look what happened to them!
thanx alan, coghlan, frame & regg (bown and the rest of the guys) for ruining my life: become a musician not able to pay the rent! :) :) :) :) :) :) greetings from mars, from the dutch tribute -STETUS KWOO- look up our website) cheers!!
The speed of this insane - proper hard rockin from one of the rock greats
Nuff and Spud absolutely killing it.
This is why Quo have been my favourite band ever since I first heard em in 1980

one of their best live songs!12 bar boogie at its hardest
I'm a 40-year old metal fan. The first 'rock' band proper I was into was Quo, back when I was 11 or 12. Still hold them dear.

i bought their live 2 lp set soon after they release it back in '75, i subsequently bought the 2 cd set.i'm now 66yrs and due to retire in aug '24.

Eines der best Aufnahmen von Status. Ich bin ein Fan, aber auch kritisch. Mein absolutes Lieblingslied ist CAROLINE!!"
Fantastic, thanks for posting. Saw them 4 times in the 70s

FRANTIC FOUR FOREVER!!!
24-12-2016 R.I.P RICK PARFITT
a real rock hero.
Seeing Quo at the Hammy on 16th March let's rock.
Mono or not, it still sounds a lot better than the current line-up to me.
This is from the Madrid gig, is'nt?
@MrPoorboy1958 The mighty QUO in the glory days. They were average once Coughlan left and CRAP once Lancaster left too.
@Iancrockert agreed mate,, the best was over when they 4 split up
greatest band ever.....i think they are better without the keyboard but my dreams kinda weird but i would like to see this line up live!

Thats a reet good tune that is
power rock..
Rhino misses out so many bits with this song. e.g. 0:52
de que pais son los integrantes del grupo?. Buenazo¡
@SMITHWAYNE100 Yes definatly ,,,and thanks God they did.
une de leur chanson les plus hard car les autres sont plus cool !!!

HOLY SHIT - REALLY??? They comin' to OZ?
Rossi must have snored up like an ounce or something, judging by the way he's running and jumping across the stage, hahahaha......
Rick sounds like Kurt Cobain on this version..
CLASS THE WAY THEY ARE . ALLAN L
It might have been, they probably ran out of film :p
Rick is the original Dave Grohl.
Much BETTER in the early days.. they're limp and flimsy now..
Son de Inglaterra...
they lost thier way after Blue for you . the ive was a good un but after that they went downhill
Que hize mal para no escucharla bien
