@@Ta71b hitting every shot vs 40-70% of your shots is huge, especially with a character that auto crits and lifesteals. Even if we are assu,ing this player has really good accuract when not cheating (which they probably don't coz theyre cheating) even a 10% is huge,
I don’t understand why cheaters make themselves so obvious, and I think part of them doesn’t even believe they’re cheating in their own twisted mindset.
Lotta players feel like the game is rigged against them so it wouldn’t surprise me if some of them use cheats to make it “fair”
The forums are a saltmine. So many people there think every game is rigged by Blizzard lol. Ofc it's got nothing to do with the fact they've peaked as high their skill allows them lmao. So instead of working on improving further, they post those conspiracy theories and bitch and moan by posting multiple threads. People who think the games are rigged need help lol
well the problem is sometimes they ARE rigged against you and sometimes they are rigged against the enemys but they only have a problem with the games rigged against them and forget that they also got wins this way. With the new matchmaker you can see if one team has a sr advantage and if you win against the odds you gain more sr and if you loose you loose a bit less sr. I would still prefer seeing the sr of every player@@deathb1ossom
i had one person i knew who was cheating and it really just came down to he genuinely believed everyone else was. he legit thinks i cheat even though i wont play with him anymore. straight up believes that 70 percent of people cheat. basically anyone better than himself. and it gives me brain cancer

I don't watch Metro, but he has appeared in the games of some streamers/UA-camrs I watched and some clips here and there.
Metro is a really toxic Soldier onetrick and constantly blames his teammates for everything and if the enemy is better than him he freaks out and says it is a cheater or a smurf or something. Wants a Mercy pocket, but is very rude to the Mercy if he still sucks and takes ithe Mercy player for granted if he does pop off and that it was all him, while all the supports had to desperately keep him alive because of his poor positioning.
Essentially he is really toxic to play with or against and a lot of people have him blocked in games for this exact reason.
He also has a huge ego. His aim is really good I must say, but his positioning is so awful, but then he criticises his teammates and other people for their positioning constantly. The constant hypocrisy isn't really well liked in the community.
I also heard that he has or had a smurf account, but take this with a grain of salt.He definitely has an alt account though.
The poster on the first match saying “it’s not a hard aimbot” is spot on. I could tell immediately it was cheats but it doesn’t look like an aimbot hack, it’s look an AI is playing. Like when you play a training match vs bots.
The 2nd Mauga looked like aimbot hacks. The tracking and staying on the head shots.
That's because it isn't, there's different types. This one reacts to what's on the screen, which has delay. Injectables are so hard to find with overwatch because Activision will find you.

@@RachelVenue reaper teleport is another good example actually, or taunts, the game doesn't track your 3rd person camera position while you are in an animation (like taunts), and only updates after you return to first person. If you teleport as reaper and then turn around your view to look behind you, when the animation ends the character will snap to that. so you can reason that they could have their crosshair on someone and thats why it looks that way. not to say this user isn't cheating but yeah. Rein shield works the same way.

This cheat is hard tracking, but no actually locking. That's why the aim gets worse when the enemy is grouped together because it's constantly trying to switch targets with no control.
Zarya was so good that they didn't need Grav at the end lmao
13:02 saw this several times, a person tracking movement doesn't stop/slow down when their crosshair stops being on the target.
Team won second game against the cheater because they were playing Mauga like a backline support instead of a tank...
his crosshair probably gets stuck while locking, thus he resets it with a melee, same happens in the aimbot mode workshop

I always love the cheater videos because when I used to play OW, I probably played with and against cheaters but never realized because I turned off all chats

aha true but there is firestrike aimlock and wallhacks, ult tracking, sleep dart/suzu tracking. every hero has useful cheats, but it defeats the purpose of the game, obviously.
i have a replay of this same person i saved. the tracking never over aims. it always soft tracks onto center mass. i called him out pretty quickly in my match in plat also. in my match his perfect aim but never stopped shooting the blocking doom was a bit of a giveaway.

From what I've seen, cheaters don't really get banned that immediately because if you ban each cheater as you find them, the people making the cheats can very quickly find out what got them caught and adapt. Instead they do ban waves more often so the cheater is left wondering what the fuck could be the reason they detected their cheats.
Not sure this is a better approach, because the video shows who's cheating, but yano.
Yes, it's a cat&mouse game for cheater dev selling their cheats against the game developers and just like you explained with ban waves it makes it A LOT harder for cheater devs to recognize what part of the code/hook got them detected. This is especially painful for players from games that needs to be bought and are not F2P.
And another good reason for this is that cheaters with time get a bit too comfortable, usually spend more money on it so when the ban wave finally comes it stings the cheater a lot more when they realize they've lost everything. There is even a SubReddit called "VacPorn" where people get enjoyment from cheaters loosing big sums of money because of cheating. :)
Steam VAC bans aren't the entire platform, they're still specific to that One game that VAC caught you in

It's a full on aimbot, it's just that mauga has a fair bit of spread on his weapons. Mauga doesn't need to lock on to heads since he can crit people in the body once they're on fire.

Yeah in a perfect world every game dev would institute a hardware ban through an intrusive anti-cheat or something.
And then get a class actuon against then fron players who paid money into the game only to have their console sabotaged by a third party.
In a perfect world that would actually be a viable solution.
In the real world those bans are ludicrously easy to circumvent.
If there was such a simple and easy to implement solution that a random comment on youtube can figure it out, why wouldn't the actual developers have already done it?

look at the timer/capture rate at the top of the screen, the video was edited to cut forward in time.

The best part of the video is the one guy saying the cheater was not hard aim botting and that his tracking was just a little too good for plat. As if plats aim is anything close to that.
To answer your question. Japan has a law in place to where you can be jailed for up to 5 years for cheating in video games do to how those cheats are made and used.

Steam (valve) should have a system, that if you have a VAC ban, you are completely banned from playing any multiplayer game. I know it doesn't stop them from buying a new account, but to lose the purchased games, would be enough to stop some. This would be a bit unfair to someone with a "real" Clara situation, but it is their fault for not being responsible. They can build an algorithm that would catch rage hacker, there are plenty of existing stats they can use as reference. Also, it wouldnt hurt to flag the account for a human review. We have AI that can do all kinds of unthinkable things, but we cant build a program that detects frequency and accuracy. I do it all the time for process control.

We talk a lot about supports enabling cheaters. In many cases it's obvious and the support pockets them. But as a support player I'm not good enough to notice someone on my team is cheating unless they're spinning around incredibly quickly. I just assume they're doing well since.
I can't say I pocket anyone in any game, but I'll definitely heal the cheater without realising.

the people in Jay's chat saying "thatt looks like my aim" need an eye exam. Hard locking, walls up, and it showed on the first play. Watch how they track through the shield. No one tracks perfectly like that through EVERY shield.
this is probably someone who thinks 2 things; that everyone he's gone against that was good was cheating or the "if only i had better aim i would be higher than plat". he could also just be a really sore loser and just doesn't like losing.

It's sad asf tbh. I refused to fight and was just dancing in enemy spawn when we had a cheating hanzo/widow on our team as didn't want to give them the win. I got flamed so hard by my team because "doesn't matter that he's cheating, why should I lose sr." Sadly we ended up winning anyway :(
