It is not too big of a deal so long as they keep it in quickplay where it can't mess up people's ranks. For ranked they should either do away with groups or they should limit the proportion of games you can play as a group in order to prevent players from getting boosted.

For everyone commenting about having seen “adventurer” before, that is a catch all display name given to accounts who haven’t finished setting up their blizzard account. One of my friends had that as their display name when we first started playing because they had starting playing on console.
Hey Jay, here's a content idea: Bronzes vs GMs, but the GMs must switch hands of their controls (left hand on mouse and right hand on keyboard). They can rebind any key as they want. You can also give GM 2 or 3x stats if they really struggle. Might be hilarious to watch xD.

I've run into ADVENTURER multiple times on Xbox in the past. The first time I ran into them was in a custom hide and seek game where the players were shrunk down (this was before prop hunt), and they were trashtalking the lobby because they kept steamrolling as the seeker multiple rounds in a row

I saw a guy that worked at Blizzard once say that Ban Waves are better so that cheat devs don't learn so easy what triggers the anticheat, and the cheat buyers don't get the cashback
I saw that too but he only works at blizzard till overwatch 1 then left , so we don't really know how the current overwatch 2 anti cheat works righnow , one thing for sure it sucks the open cheater's I knew can still play with cheats as usual.

Good lord. I don't know if it's the same Adventurer I've seen in my matches, but I've seen that name ever so often. Sucks for everyone else named Adventurer to be lumped in with this pine needle 3. 😅
From what I know, Adventurer is a common tag out of a pool, people think it's for Crossplay and some say it's a default for BattleNet. I've ran into a lot of them also with SneakyTurtle players that also are not the same people.

The enemy team had a masters smurf who was the most toxic player I’ve ever met. He legit spent the entire game insulting his own team and me, after I told him to chill.
Luckily the dude had his comp game ruined after getting steamrolled and targeted by my team, but still kind of a goofy memory.
Imagine smurfing in silver 5 and getting mad that your team plays like a team in silver 5.
The start on the match almost looked like gyro controls on switch with how shaky it was. LMAOOO

I’ve climbed to diamond dps and masters support so I don’t see them anymore. But early on in overwatch 2 comp when I was low platinum I saw this person a lot. I didn’t realize they were cheating, we would typically beat them so I thought they were having bad games.

Can someone explain to me what happens when you overheat Orisa’s gun and how it happens? I’ve never played Ores in my life and I’m an og player
When you shoot with Orisa, the meter on the side of the screen fills up. If it fills completely, she overheats, going into that long "reload" animation. When she stops shooting at all, the meter decreases. So Orisa needs to take short pauses occasionally between shooting to avoid this. It isn't too difficult. The cheater was just really bad lol

While the cheater is so bad at cheating i wasnt even sure that he was cheating but the smurf shouldnt talk very loud he is one of the reason the quickplay becomes so shite as it is , they bring gm players into bronze or silver lobbies and make the lower level players game hell, like he should be banned as well for smurfing . I actually know what cheat this is. So, basically, it looks for the red outline on enemies and tries to center your curser on them, it really sucks though. Thats why sometimes it locks on echos right click, since it is the same color as the outline

I happen to see Adventurer in QP all the time, or at least I use to. Not so much in the last couple weeks but they are someone I always suspected to be a bot with how poorly they played. I don't know if they were cheating the whole time or if this is a new thing but sad to see I was in dozens of games with someone called out for cheating here.
adventurer is a randomly generated username, just like the ‘wildpants’ ‘sneakyturtle’ variations. if you don’t choose a username those are automatically given to you, so there’s probably dozens of adventurers out there
