@@ryanandkala You definitely did it right with a balcony in Alaska. The only better room to get is a balcony on the very back of the ship. Alaska is still my favorite cruise out the 48 I have taken so far. (have my 5th & 6th Alaskan cruise scheduled next yr)
@@peteacad1 Wow 48 cruises!! That is amazing, you are a cruising legend. Alaska sure was special it's going to be hard to top it. We do have a Mediterranean one next year we are looking forward to. Great tip about the balcony location we'll have to keep our eyes open on future cruises. ☀️😎🍻
Great video....loved your opening jump through the door. Alaska is beautiful. Done Alaskan cruise out of Seattle rt, and out Seward, Alaska to Vancouver.
Thank you so much!! We agree, this was such a breath-taking trip, we got so lucky with the weather too. We loved Alaska and I can definitely see us doing some version of it again. 🍻😎☀

Really liked the last vlog and starting this one today. You both do a great job with editing, explanations and and non-dramatic commentary. Will look forward to the rest of the videos. On a side note, it’s really so much better getting a balcony. The mornings and evening where you can just have peace and quiet and time to yourself is fantastic. I think you also miss a lot of the views and experiences when you are in an interior cabin. A little more expensive, but totally worth it.
Thank you so much!! Glad you're enjoying the videos ☀️🍻😎 We were definitely team interior but we REALLY enjoyed the balcony on this one so I agree with everything you're saying. For our next couple ones booked we're in interiors so I may have to try to "Royal-Up" thanks for watching!!
Great video!! I loved the cruise door! I need one hahaha. Can’t wait for the next video. Your new camera takes beautiful shots. I can’t wait to see Alaska.
Great video and you two are adorable! We will be sailing Ovation in 2 days! We have been on the sister ship, Quantum. Not sure about the smoke one, LOL, but they usually like to be creative and also get tired of making the same-o drinks, you don't have to stick with the menu. :) I always give them the recipe of my favorite martinis and have never been told "we don't do that".

Thank you!! Ya the Kraken were making a good run while on this cruise. It was cool to see the stadium in Seattle. Glad you enjoyed the videos! It was definitely an incredible cruise ☀️🍻😎
This is great. I’m excited for you two with the balcony!!! Yay!!! Especially on this Alaskan cruise. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait to see more vlogs!! And might I add…what an amazing sail away!!
The Balcony was really special on this cruise, every morning we'd open the blinds and just go "Wow" it was so beautiful. Glad you enjoyed the video and the sail away we can't wait to share the rest!! 😎🍻☀️
I just found your channel and subscribed. Just wanted to add 2 things since I live in Vancouver and frequently cruise from that port. One take a skytrain from wherever you are staying its cheap, easy and convenient. Second, don't go into the terminal first, always go to the underground parking, there is a ramp walkway where you can easily drop off luggage and then head to the terminal. No long lines or elevator waits. Looking forward to watching your adventures in Alaska!
Yay!! Welcome to the channel ☺️ This is great info! Thank you so much for sharing, you'll help a lot of people out because everyone seemed equally confused lol. We'll definitely be taking the Skytrain the next time, when we took an Uber and got close to the port we literally didn't move for like 15 minutes, so we just got out and walked. Thanks for watching! 😎🍻☀️
@jeanetterequintin9055 best to be dropped off close to the port and walk, honestly we got stuck waiting in traffic for what felt like forever and we ended up just getting out and walking. If you get a hotel close to the port you can literally walk right in. We didn’t do much in Vancouver sadly so I’m not sure of what to do before, maybe the community has some great ideas! If you’re there very early I’d say lake Louise would be a great experience we didn’t do it but wish we would have.
We had a balcony for our honeymoon…it was so nice. A balcony is a requirement for us at this point! Side note: Please tell me I’m not the only one who noticed the crew member vlog bombing in the background @ 30:15 and 31:09😂 We love you guys’ vlogs!!
Hahahaha you aren’t. We just wish we realized he was in there haha! We would have invited him in to say hello! Ya I am ruined now and want a balcony all the time 😂 but also want to cruise more so will settle for the interiors! Until we win the lottery that is haha! Thanks for watching ❤
First time watching your videos - drinking the champagne straight from the bottle … YASSSSSS!!! I get on the Ovation this Friday in Seattle, hope embarkation will be a breeze there 🤞🏾
Hahah 😂 welcome to the channel!! You're going to have an awesome time I hope the embarkation is a lot smoother than ours. We had a great day in Seattle at the end of the trip. Happy cruising!! 😎☀️🍻
Thank you so much!! We love that you and your family were excited to watch our videos, that's still so crazy to us! Thanks for the kind words and support we hope you enjoy the series!! ☀️😎🍻
About 90% of my cruises in the last 20 years have been with Royal Caribbean. (I even achieved Diamond Status on my last cruise with them.) BUT I have to say, after watching your video series on your experiences onboard Carnival Celebration.... you inspired me to look back into Carnival. (I last sailed with Carnival in 1996). Plus, I couldn't pass up their pricing compared to what Royal was charging for basically the same cruises. So, I have my first-ever back-to-back cruises booked, and they are with Carnival. I'm excited to try something different, because (like you guys) I have grown a little "tired/bored/complacent"? of the normality of going with the same cruise-line for so many years. So, thanks for the inspiration.
Honestly, our carnival celebration experience was so fun, I know some people don’t like carnival but we had a blast. It was less expensive, so was the drink package, plus like you said it was something different. They had better drink options in my opinion and I liked the multiple pool areas. That being said we also love royal and love how it’s the same across the fleet for the most part. You kind of know what you’re getting. But I wish they would upgrade their menus and drinks a bit to reflect the times! 🍻
@@kala-ryanandkala Yea, Carnival seems to have really stepped up their game in the last 5 years. All their ships seemed the exact same about 15 years ago. Now, it seems they are making some nice changes with new ships, layouts, venues onboard, drinks, etc. I'm excited to check things out with them.
Cruise ships got away with the same old same for years because there was not a lot of competition, but now it’s time to shake things up a bit and catch up with the times!
Well this is just the best thing I’ve seen, ever! Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment!! We’re so happy you found us and glad you’re enjoying the content so far!! ❤
Yay! Can’t wait for this! We got off our Alaskan cruise May 29, missing it already! We definitely had more typical Alaska weather, we had a couple sunny, mild days, Glacier Day was sunny & beautiful which was amazing as we had all day at the Glacier & then we had a couple cooler days and some rain. Temps 12-18 Celsius. It was spectacular though. I only got as far as your embarkation so far, but just wanted to say it was the polar opposite from what we experienced boarding the Disney Wonder. We stayed downtown near the port, it was a 5 min drive to the port. Once we arrived, we never stopped walking, everything was super quick and organized. I was expecting worse I think.
Wow thank you so much for sharing!! I loved hearing your experience and comparing it with ours. We definitely will stay near the port next time and it's crazy to me how it was super quick and organized for you. I wonder if it was because it's close to the beginning of the season and maybe they were just working out some kinks. Either way, im glad you had a good experience. I'm really happy to hear you had a great Glacier day, we were not able to see the Dawes Glacier but Canoed up to the Mendenhall one, it was awesome!! Can't wait to share the rest of the series! 😎☀️🍻
@@ryanandkala Not sure, it was only the second sailing of the Alaska season for Disney - they had employees stationed every few feet directing guests. Sorry to hear you missed Glacier Day (we went into Tracey Arm), our captain got us very close, we were lucky. I also loved that we were in the fjord and glacier area from about 9 am to 4 pm, some lines only go in for 2-3 hrs and don’t go in as far. I think it’s probably a lot to do with the ship’s size & ice of course. Hopefully you still went to Skagway, it was our favourite after Glacier day. (I think Quantum missed the stop there) All of Alaska was spectacular though and we are now saying we want to go back. Not very soon, but within 3 years hopefully. I thought it would be one and done, but it’s so vast and unpredictable (missing glaciers or weather for example) that you want to go back and explore more! At least we do :)
@@kikky811 Yes 💯 I agree I would love to go back at least once more, there's so much to experience and it was just a beautiful sailing. We did go to Skagway and we had such a beautiful day there 😎🍻☀️
@@ryanandkala Our day in Skagway was also sunny, on & off but no rain except Carcross, Yukon (just a bit) but then it cleared up for the train ride down to Skagway. Overall we had little rain on the sailing but we did have some, which we were prepared for. May is generally drier and more sunny than August in Alaska. I think you just never know though. I have watched vlogs from September where people had lots of sunny weather and July vlogs where it’s been super rainy and cooler.
Definitely Aussies pronounce it as 'skooner bar'. First time viewer...and subscriber ❤ Taking my 4th cruise on OTS ( in less than a year) when she comes back to Australia Nov 2023. Hooked. Can't wait!
Yay! Welcome to the channel ❤️ the Ovation is a fantastic ship you're going to have an awesome time. We would love to do an Australian cruise one day 😎🍻☀️
Very nice video, thank you. Four of us did the Ovation of the Seas cruise to AK early September of 2022. We all had a wonderful time. I enjoyed the Fish & Ships and ate there multiple times. I reside south of Seattle and while I’ve been to AK over fifty times, it’s a fantastic place to visit each time. Only bummer was that three of the four of us tested positive for Covid the day after the cruise ended.
Watching K open the champagne was very suspenseful! (Also, you might know this already but you should hold the bottle at a 45 degree angle when opening and then rotate the base of the bottle etc.) Looking forward to the rest of this series! Love cruising Alaska.
I didn’t know that! Thanks for letting me know. Now I am officially a pro at opening champagne bottles haha. I am so happy it didn’t explode but yes it ended up being a lot of worry and suspense for nothing haha 😂 Thanks so much for watching 😊❤
Hi guys, great cruise video! We cruised Alaska on the Ovation of the Seas out of Seattle and it was no problem boarding the ship. We Love the music hall, on our cruise we had Bon Jovi cover band and they were fantastic!
Hey Teri! Thanks so much for watching and for the support!! Oh man a Bon Jovi cover band would have been awesome in there. We loved music hall, I liked how they had 2 levels, 2 bars, pool tables and the cool upgrades drink menus. It was a breath of fresh air. We heard Seattle is way more organized, so if we make it to Alaska again we may have to go from Seattle! Thanks again for watching 😎🍻☀️
They're both amazing!! We really did enjoy the Symphony with the central park and a couple more restaurants ex. El loco fresh BUT Ovation is a really great ship and is perfect for this type of Cruise. For just your average Caribbean cruise I think I'd go with the Oasis class but you can't go wrong with either!! Thanks for watching😎🍻☀️
Great video. So fun to watch since my wife and I just got off the day you got on. We sailed from Honolulu to Vancouver. Our cruise was amazing but yes, it was the worst disembarkation we’ve done after 26 cruises. So not much better getting off for you to get on. We live in Ottawa too, we headed back home with a 5PM flight from YVR to YOW. We enjoyed a tour to Shannon Falls and the Sea to Sky Gondola before we headed to the airport. Looking forward to the upcoming videos.
Howdy fellow Ottawa residents! We’re so glad you enjoyed day 1. We would love to do the cruise over from Hawaii or Australia (one day). But yes Vancouver port was a total nightmare lol. We were hoping that as Canadians the port would be a breeze but we’re we ever wrong haha. We much prefer the US ports, they’re just used to more ships and have multiple terminals and just seem a lot more organized overall. Hope you had a great cruise and thanks so much for watching 😎🍻☀️
Thanks so much!! This is the result of 2 French braids overnight and then using a 3 pronged crimper to finish the top and ends. Super easy! Thanks so much for watching 😎🍻☀️
Yay! Welcome to the channel, glad you enjoyed the intro, we had a lot of fun making it. We definitely need to go back at least one more time as well, thanks for watching!!
Went out of the Vancouver port last year. The embarkation process is the worst there. I can completely agree that they are very disorganized compared to Miami.
Love your adventures, thanks for sharing. We had the absolute worst embarkation experience on Quantum, out of Vancouver in October of 2022. The most disorganized chaos I have witnessed at embarkation. We were sailing Star Class and stayed at the Pan Pacific (at the port), it made no difference at the Port of Vancouver. Once on board we had an incredible trip but it sure started off poorly. Boarding Quantum for Alaska from Seattle next week. 🤞
I couldn't believe how disorganized the Embarkation process was I was hoping it was just a one time thing but a few people now have stated the same. You'll have to let us know how your Seattle Embarkation process goes! We hope you have an amazing cruise♥️🍻☀️😎
Just a tip for everyone… we bought the deluxe beverage package a few weeks ago. Today we saw it is advertised for a discounted rate, so we canceled our original order and reordered it and saved $150. 👍
Thanks so much Joanne! That means so much to us, we are so lucky to have such an amazing community. ❤ Thank you for your ongoing support and for watching 😎🍻☀️
Awesome video!! You can totally tell your using a new camera. The footage is so clear and l really enjoy the effects you have added. Lol who are you kidding going back to a inside cabin are a balcony. 😂. Again looks like you had an amazing time.
Thank you so much!! I'm really happy to hear you could tell the difference in the quality. We have a few booked on inside cabins already but one of the ones we want to book next year is a Greece one and I'm thinking a balcony could be nice. Thanks for watching!! ☀️🍻😎
Hey! The new camera is a Nikon Z30. We hope some of the quality in the darker areas of the ship are better with this camera than with the GoPro. Let us know what you think! Thanks so much for watching 😎🍻☀️
Do you remember that episode of The Office... where Jim just transferred to the Stamford branch... where him and Andy are drinking shots (and Karen is pouring her's in the garbage)... Andy started singing some random old song, then Jim joined in and knew the lyrics... AND Andy is SO surprised/pumped.... Well, that is how I felt when I saw the name of your WiFi network at your house!!! *"TUNA, Are you kidding me???"* Agent Michael Scarn approved!!! 😆
Yeah I hear ya, I can't remember which day we went to Boleros but it was bumping! Lots of fun, high energy and great dancing. Thanks for watching!! 🍻😎🍻
Hey Stephanie! A guaranteed room means you don’t choose your room when you book, Royal guarantees you a room on the ship and you find out your room information a few weeks before embarking. This can be a great money saving tip, but has also backfired on us in the past, as the rooms left over are notoriously rooms that people don’t choose or necessarily want. If having a room in a certain part of the ship or on a certain level is important to you we suggest paying the bit extra and picking your own room. If you are open to being on any floor and anywhere from the very front to the very back of the ship it’s a great option. We usually opt for a guarantee room if the ship isn’t travelling far, if it’s travelling far and can have rocky sea days we try to book our own room in the mid ship area. Hope this helps!! Thanks so much for watching 😎🍻☀️
Hey! We do about 3 cruises per year the videos are just spread out every 2 weeks so it may seem like we are always on one!! Lol. But we book about year in advance and just chip away at them and use point credit cards when we can.
Hahaha I wish we would have seen him when we were filming, we would have asked him to come say hello! We did chat with him after because he asked Ryan about what kind of camera we used and about the channel but we didn’t notice the waving until we got home lol! The staff have such a good sense of humour it’s awesome!
Hi, we just watched a couple of your awesome videos of the Ovation cruise ship. Can you really really actually bring bottles of wine on the ship! Do you need to pack it (hide it) in your luggage? We are cruising 8/4-8/11 from Seattle with stops in Juneau, Sitka, Skagway, Victoria BC. Big thanks for the info about not drinking much before starting the onboarding process (no potty breaks while in line!) 😮
Hey! Thank you so much! You're allowed to bring on 2 bottles of wine per stateroom and a case of 12 sodas or water and you have to carry it on. I think sailing out of Seattle will be a lot smoother than Vancouver just from chatting with others. We loved all those destinations, can't wait to share the rest of the videos with you. Our Sitka video comes out later today 😎☀️🍻
I am also gf due to celiac, so I was especially paying attention to your eating choices on the video. I’m hoping for gf foods that are not typically gf. Like cakes, pancakes, bread, etc. Is there a self serve or all day ice cream machine? We are SO bummed that when we tried to make a reservation for the North Star and iFly all spots were booked. I’m planning to check with each to see if there is a cancellation list to get on. Can’t wait to watch your videos on Sitka and Skagway. You guys are great. So far our favorites for researching our cruise. 👏👏👏
@@deenash1670 thank you so much!! Don't worry, the same thing happened to us it showed the Reservations all booked up but the moment you are able to get on the Ship's Wifi there are tons of spots available. I guess they offer some pre-cruise but most of the spots are for when you are on board. They did have a sprinkles ice cream station on the lido deck however it was only open a very limited amount of time.
NOOOO, don't cross over to the "dark-side"!! Us Interior-Stateroomers have to stick together! I've never had any room other than an interior cabin. But, to be fair, I think a balcony on an Alaskan cruise would be pretty hard to then return to an inside room on a future cruise. But, like Ryan said, an interior room lets me cruise *more often* ... and that definitely trumps a balcony, in my opinion.
Haha I was kidding, we will definitely stick to interiors, we would rather cruise more often than cruise in a balcony or a suite. We are still team interior room, but yes on an alaska cruise is recommend the upgrade. Thanks for watching 😊❤
@@kala-ryanandkala Okay, good. haha. Yea, as nice as a balcony is, I think if I were to add up all the hours that I would spend out there total for that cruise, versus, all the hours of an entirely additional cruise, there'd be no comparison.
The boots in the early part of the video are just some hiking boots and she wore waterproof shoes, the brand is called Vessi. I wore some hiking boots and running shoes most of the time! Thanks for watching! 😎🍻☀️
Really great video and tips as we’re also wondering if we should book Alaska from Vancouver! We have a senior who may have a hard time walking, was there a separate line for those needing a wheelchair or assistance?
Thank you!! Most cruise lines (definitely Royal) offer boarding assistance from check-in to boarding. You just have to contact them 30 days prior to your cruise. I don't know the email exactly but it could be the special needs email special_needs@rccl.com. You should have no problem getting the help you need. 😎☀️🍻
Hello! New to your blog and currently binging your Alaska cruise videos as we will be sailing to Alaska on Royal Quantum this August. Talk to me about the drink package you purchased? I haven’t seen anything other than the unlimited beverage package available- what do you mean when you refer to vouchers? Thanks in advance!
Love that you’re enjoying the content!! You’re going to love Alaska so much! So the best thing about Royal Caribbean is they have their crown and anchor society where you collect points and once you collect enough points you get to a certain tier, and with each tier comes benefits and perks. Ryan and I are diamond members, so with that tier you get 4 drink vouchers per day for free. There are other drink packages you can get, like the refreshment package or a soda package but that one doesn’t include alcohol. There’s also a coffee card you can buy, you get 15 coffees and they punch 1 hole for small and 2 for large. Hope this helps!!!
Haha he spoke to us after and let us know but initially we didn't, the screen on the camera must have been too small for us to notice. He was really nice, he worked for Royal Caribbean and said he edits videos for fun so he was curious what we were doing.😎☀️🍻
@ryanandkala no worries, they look the part though so great buy for your sis haha. Appreciate your videos me and my wife are taking ovation to Alaska this May. Look foreward to watching more.
Nooooo, I'm sorta curious as to why Royal hasn't gone back. It was great how we were able to complete it before we even got to the cruise port, that was new to us. ☀️🍻😎
@@ryanandkala you totally should! I thought it was super unique and I haven’t seen anything like it on anyone else’s cruise videos. Just a fun little different thing 😊
Hey any tips on what we should pack for this cruise. As Canadians like yourself we not sure whats all needed. Our cruise is may 2025. We don't want to over pack but not having something that's a must would suck What are must haves for this type of trip
We definitely overpacked lol… We were expecting much colder weather and got really lucky with some really super warm weather. Our biggest recommendation is to pack layers as many layers as you can. That way you can add and take away as the weather changes throughout the day. I’d say if you’re planning on doing any sort of activities, a pair of hiking boots is a definite must, a rain jacket and umbrella is also very smart idea to pack and maybe a light jacket or vest that you can layer with sweater if it gets colder
What’s the deal with VOOM Wi-Fi??? Do we definitely need it? Probably don’t need? Is it fine to rely on the ship’s free Wi-Fi? Also, do you have any info about using cellular while in Alaska? We have an unlimited plan with AT&T. Thank you
Since we're Canadian we don't have service in Alaska but we did use roaming for 2 of the days and didn't have any issues. You can buy the wifi for 24 hours at a time but it's expensive just as a 1-day rate and much cheaper per day when you buy the package!
We will keep this in mind in our future vlogs, thanks for the feedback! Hopefully over the course of the vlog (if you wanted to continue) you're able to get a better idea of the ship and some of the experiences onboard! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Terry! I knew it, thanks for the backup!! 🍻
We had a balcony for our honeymoon…it was so nice. A balcony is a requirement for us at this point!
Side note: Please tell me I’m not the only one who noticed the crew member vlog bombing in the background @ 30:15 and 31:09😂
We love you guys’ vlogs!!
Straight from the bottle is the only way sometimes haha! 🥂
Welcome to the channel! ❤
Great vlog! First time viewer and new subscriber. Very thorough vlog.
Yay welcome to the channel!! Thanks so much for following along we're glad you enjoyed the video 😎🍻☀️
Yay!!! My family was so excited you posted today! Yall are so cute and we can't wait to watch the rest of this series!!
Thank you so much!! We love that you and your family were excited to watch our videos, that's still so crazy to us! Thanks for the kind words and support we hope you enjoy the series!! ☀️😎🍻
I really enjoyed all your videos on your Alaskan cruise. Now I want to book a trip of my own.
We can’t recommend Alaska enough! It’s such a gorgeous breathtaking trip, definitely worth it!
@@kala-ryanandkala You are right. I hadn't thought about that, and it makes perfect sense.
👋😎👍great video!!!
Canajian, Thanks so much for watching, you’re the best! 🍻😎☀️
New to your VLOG, and I am really loving your content. You guys are easy on the ears and eyes. Keep up the GREAT VLOGS! I'm hooked...
For Vancouver, the easiest way to the cruise terminal is to take the Skytrain.
Thanks so much for the helpful info! We will definitely keep that in mind for next time!
Thanks so much for watching 🍻😎☀️
We wish we lived closer to a cruise port! That would be amazing to be able to hop on without airfare!
Oh nooooo!! That’s never good! 🤒
Watching K open the champagne was very suspenseful! (Also, you might know this already but you should hold the bottle at a 45 degree angle when opening and then rotate the base of the bottle etc.)
Looking forward to the rest of this series! Love cruising Alaska.
I didn’t know that! Thanks for letting me know. Now I am officially a pro at opening champagne bottles haha.
I am so happy it didn’t explode but yes it ended up being a lot of worry and suspense for nothing haha 😂
Thanks so much for watching 😊❤
Loved the intro! Cool transition
Thank you so much! We had a lot of fun making it 🍻😎☀️
I was on the same ship June 2nd through 9th good to see cruise director brian on there he was sick most of our cruise
Oh noo that's too bad that he was sick, hope you still had a fantastic cruise though! 😎☀️🐳
How did you like the Ovation class ship versus the Allure class ship…did you like it more or about the same?⚓️
They're both amazing!!
Kala...nice new hair style.
Thanks so much!! This is the result of 2 French braids overnight and then using a 3 pronged crimper to finish the top and ends. Super easy!
Thanks so much for watching 😎🍻☀️
New subscriber here. Great way to start your video. We have done 1 Alaska cruise and can't wait to go back. Thank you for sharing.
I was wondering if this was a one time occurrence or a problem there so thanks for sharing! Miami is so quick! Thanks for watching ☀️😎🍻
That's awesome!! Way to keep an eye out! What a great tip thanks for sharing 😎☀🍻
That was a fantastic intro!
It was definitely one of our favourites to do! We may need to bring back the cruise door!! 🚪
That guy behind you after dinner was hilarious!
🤣 we try not to look at the screen when we’re recording, so everytime we edit these we see things like that and laugh!
First time watching one of your videos. Love the intro. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Yay!! Welcome to the channel, glad you enjoyed the intro 😊 Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the rest of the series 😎☀️🍻
love yur videos You both are so likeable!!! subscrib people.. It costs nothing Very informative Thanks
Thanks so much Joanne!
That means so much to us, we are so lucky to have such an amazing community. ❤
Thank you for your ongoing support and for watching 😎🍻☀️
Awesome video!! You can totally tell your using a new camera. The footage is so clear and l really enjoy the effects you have added. Lol who are you kidding going back to a inside cabin are a balcony. 😂. Again looks like you had an amazing time.
Thank you so much!! I'm really happy to hear you could tell the difference in the quality. We have a few booked on inside cabins already but one of the ones we want to book next year is a Greece one and I'm thinking a balcony could be nice. Thanks for watching!! ☀️🍻😎
Love this long vlog!!!!! What is the name and brand of the new camera you have if you don’t mind me asking? 😊
Hey!
The new camera is a Nikon Z30. We hope some of the quality in the darker areas of the ship are better with this camera than with the GoPro. Let us know what you think!
Thanks so much for watching 😎🍻☀️
@@ryanandkala thank you so much!!! The quality of this video was amazing! Thank you for sharing!!!
Woooo! Love it!!
Hahah 🤣 omg what a great comment. I loved your description, the comparison and the delivery lol. It might be time for another re-watch of the office.
@@ryanandkala Thanks! Can't go wrong with that!
Great video! What month did y'all go?
We were on the May 11th sailing!! We got lucky we had great weather through the entire trip. Just beautiful there ☀️🍻😎
We like the schooner bar but the music always puts us to sleep there. It's a great setup but no energy. Boleros is where we usually go.
Yeah I hear ya, I can't remember which day we went to Boleros but it was bumping! Lots of fun, high energy and great dancing. Thanks for watching!! 🍻😎🍻
What is a guaranteed room? We haven’t sailed Rc
You guys definitely had fun with this intro!
Haha 😂 we still watch it and laugh, we're such dorks. Hope you enjoyed it! 😎🍻☀️
@@ryanandkala loved it!
😂 great intro, love it
We had sooo much fun making it!! We kind of miss the cruise door! 🚪
Been crushing about 15 years now and just wondering how you guys afford all theses great cruises!!
Hey! We do about 3 cruises per year the videos are just spread out every 2 weeks so it may seem like we are always on one!! Lol. But we book about year in advance and just chip away at them and use point credit cards when we can.
That staff photo bombing your vlog is so funny 😂 @ 30:25
Hahaha I wish we would have seen him when we were filming, we would have asked him to come say hello! We did chat with him after because he asked Ryan about what kind of camera we used and about the channel but we didn’t notice the waving until we got home lol!
The staff have such a good sense of humour it’s awesome!
Also in the theater the lady next to you that was nervously twisting her hair!
@anncampbell5952 Omg I never noticed this before!
Stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel and you just have to walk downstairs to the cruise terminal - no traffic!!!
What a great tip!! Thanks so much for sharing. Hopefully others will see this and I know we want to go back so I'll keep it in mind 😎🍻☀️
Great videos!
We are going on this cruise in May, which month did you go?
Thank you so much! ♥️ We went in May!! That's so exciting you're going to have a great cruise. Alaska was beautiful 😎☀️🍻
What kind of shoes did you wear???
Kala, what boots are you wearing in the start of this video? I just booked our Alaska Cruise and those look perfect for the adventure! Love you guys!
She said the hiking boots are from mountain warehouse! She said she loved them especially the brown pair. "They were comfortable and cute" 😂
I just ordered them....thanks for your quick response!@@ryanandkala
Did you’re noticed the guy behind you.
Haha he spoke to us after and let us know but initially we didn't, the screen on the camera must have been too small for us to notice. He was really nice, he worked for Royal Caribbean and said he edits videos for fun so he was curious what we were doing.😎☀️🍻
Kala, are those Gucci glasses? I can't seem to find them online I would like to get a pair for my wife they look great.
I wish they were the real deal, my sister got them for me for Christmas a few years ago on Ali express!
@ryanandkala no worries, they look the part though so great buy for your sis haha.
Appreciate your videos me and my wife are taking ovation to Alaska this May. Look foreward to watching more.
Hello, when / what time of the year did you travel to Alaska?
Hey! We went in May 2023 and had perfect weather, we got so lucky!
Oh and Disney has already gone back to traditional muster. Boo 😢
Nooooo, I'm sorta curious as to why Royal hasn't gone back. It was great how we were able to complete it before we even got to the cruise port, that was new to us. ☀️🍻😎
20’s 😱 That must be celsius 😂
Hahah ya definitely Celsius 😎☀️🍻 we had great weather
I NEED A CRUISE DOOR!!! 🚪
Hahaha! We didn’t use it on our most recent jubilee cruise… we kind of miss the cruise door. It may need a comeback!
@@ryanandkala you totally should! I thought it was super unique and I haven’t seen anything like it on anyone else’s cruise videos. Just a fun little different thing 😊
@AmandaLander I told Ryan we need to bring back the cruise door haha!
We just need to think of a fun idea 💡
Hey any tips on what we should pack for this cruise. As Canadians like yourself we not sure whats all needed. Our cruise is may 2025.
We don't want to over pack but not having something that's a must would suck
What are must haves for this type of trip
Is there free Wi-Fi on the ship?
@@deenash1670 No unfortunately not if you go on your cruise planner you can see the prices of the Voom surf and the Surf and stream wifi package
Way too much of your faces, guys. Try POV next time it works better for viewers. We want to see the ship and experience!
We will keep this in mind in our future vlogs, thanks for the feedback! Hopefully over the course of the vlog (if you wanted to continue) you're able to get a better idea of the ship and some of the experiences onboard! Merry Christmas!
