Superb video! I have had my Magic V2 for just over a week now and I agree with everything you have said in your video. The device just keeps on surprising me and I really can't complain about it at all. Came from an iPhone and I have no regrets!

The hardware is great but the software is rubbish way behind Samsung foldable software experience. Have returned the device.

Ultimately, it's a pure Android experience, with minimal additional features beyond a taskbar and dual-app functionality for side-by-side operation. Multitasking capabilities are fairly rudimentary. However, the features that the Pixel Fold does offer perform impeccably in my experience.
@@umairjehangir1208 You should wait for Fold 6 if you dont like form factor of Fold 5. Second best option from SW perspective is OnePlus Open.

Je viens de regarder la review, il a super bien expliqué, je me sauce à me le prendre ce Magic V2 ! Le principal défaut de ce type de smartphone c'est le poids et la finesse et la on a la crème de la crème :)

I'm holding the Magic5 pro and I was wondering what's your though on which foldable is the best for a daily use?
Can't afford to buy more than one and I'd like to use it every single day as a main device.
Are the videos and photos qualities good enough in your opinion? I'm not expecting as good as a flagship phone, but still pretty good though?

Thank you for commenting. I would pick either the Magic V2 or the OnePlus Open. Both are fantastic foldable phones. The main differences between the 2 are dimensions and cameras. The camera quality of the Magic V2 is good, the quality of the Open is fantastic. But the Magic V2 really shines with its light weight and thinness.

How do you compare it to Fold devices? I find Galaxy UI quite good on my Fold 4. Like the OS was made for foldable factor. What about Magic OS?
Had fold 3 and 4 and software on Samsung fold is way better. But here it's cleaner. And sicer is much better on honor
a great video, I bought the one plus open but I have a small regret to not have waited for the honor, do you think the weight and thickness of honor vs one plus, is a major difference/feel ?
Head-to-head, I believe I would prefer the OnePlus Open, mostly because of the camera, which is definitely better. The OP Open remains an impressive device. However, it doesn't compare to the thinness and lightness of the Magic V2.
Better software on the open as well
I have been using foldable phones since 4 years now. Samsung Galaxy 1,2,3 and screen of 2 malfunctioned after 4 months. Then had OPPO N2 Fold, screen protector came off after 3 months and now Honor Magic VS inner screen self destructed. I could just be unlucky but none of my other phones over the last 15 years every broke and I change my phones every 8-9 months. Hope this new version has better screen and hinge compared to the predecessor VS.

Vielen Dank für dein Video. Ich bin gerade wirklich hin- und hergerissen zwischen dem V2 und Oneplus Open. Könntest du mir zu dem Open vielleicht eine kurze Frage beantworten: Ist der HDR Bug noch vorhanden? Sprich: Beim schauen von UA-cam oder Netflix Videos in HDR wird trotzdem SDR dargestellt und das Gerät bleibt ziemlich dunkel. Besonders auffällig ist der Vergleich mit zwei Smartphones nebeneinander, welche den gleichen Inhalt wiedergeben. Vielen Dank vorab!
Interessant! Von Problemen mit dem Abspielen von HDR content höre ich jetzt zum ersten Mal. Kann es aber bestätigen. Ist bei meinen Gerät auch so. Bei einigen Videos stärker ausgeprägt, als bei anderen. Wenn man das Honor Magic V2 daneben legt, fällt es stark auf, dass die dargestellte Dynamikumfang auf dem Open geringer ist. Bei content auf Netflix und Prime fand ich den Unterschied nicht so stark wie bei einigen Videos auf UA-cam....
zuerst mal Danke an @jmtmarc für die Reviews, gut dass mal neue UA-camr/Reviewer zu sehen sind. Dein Englisch ist nicht ganz passabel im Gegensatz zu anderen deutschen UA-camrn ;-)
Dominik: ich war mir auch lange unsicher, habe jetzt aber zufällig gerade gestern ein grünes Oneplus kaufen können, bis vorgestern war das noch keine Option. Mir gefällt einfach die Oneplus Software schon seit Jahren und auch den Alert Slider finde ich super. Kommt dazu, dass das Honor in der Schweiz noch kaum zu haben ist und wenn, dann teuer und nur in schwarz. Werde dann das Oneplus heute anschauen (gemäss Review das einzige was mich etwas stören könnte ist das grosse Kameramodul, aber ansonsten gehe ich davon aus, dass ich begeistert sein werde
@@Ytmanex Glückwunsch zu deinem Open. Definitiv ein super Gerät und ich bin auf dein Feedback gespannt. In DE kann ich aktuell das V2 oder Open jeweils für 1600 Euro bekommen - ersteres kommt halt noch mit einer Gratis Watch. Hätte das Oneplus nicht diese HDR Probleme, dann hätte ich schon längst zugeschlagen. Ich bezweifel stark, dass hier noch in einem Update nachgeliefert wird (12er hat das gleiche Problem).

What's your thoughts after 2 months. I have a fold 4 at the moment. Software on Samsung is excellent, This thinner model and normal sized outer screen excites me though........ should I get one?
I still love it and it still amazes me how thin the device is! I only wish the camera would be better.
Do you use it in case? I'm going to order black one but I'm kinda afraid about the artificial leather back.
I really like the leather back. It has a great grip and doesn't attract fingerprints.

Can you discuss the Honor stylus functionality compared to the Galaxy Fold 5 S-Pen functionality?
I'm afraid I don't own a Fold 5 or have the Honor Magic Pen, so I'm unable to discuss that.
I have the Honor Magic Pen but the writing features on the Global variant are very limited. That's the reason I sold away the Global variant and buying the China variant. In terms of functionalities the China variant should be similar to the s-pen. The s-pen has softer nib (which I like) but the Honor Magic Pen has a clip (which makes it feel like a real writing pen). Once I received my China variant I will share more on the stylus functionalities. Cheers

Yes! I still use the V2 besides my other phones and it is still fine. No problems whatsoever.
@@JMTMarc maybe I got the bad batch, how you do you make sure your inner screen doesn't bubble up, the screen protector and the film

Nice video. I have my Honor Magic V2 (Global version) for three weeks before I sold it a couple of days ago. The reason for selling is that I am buying the China variant instead.

Bisher habe ich ihn für mein TV benutzt. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Kann alle TV Funktionen damit steuern. Auch die Steuerung anderer Geräte, die über Infrarot gesteuert werden, sollte funktionieren.

I definitely won't be buying an Honor phone anytime soon then. The software seems pretty basic with a lot of features missing compared to my Samsung
MagicOS 7 definitely lacks some features-the Magic 6 Pro ships with MagicOS 8, which has some improvements over 7.
Main reason I'll stick with Samsung.
I changed my Samsung to Honor Magic V2 and couldn't be happier. I don't get your point. There is nothing important that Samsung does and Magic V2 cannot.
@b.s.m7657 Not even touching basic software things like can't adjust the thumbnail size in the gallery, but wireless charging and water resistance come to mind.
I don't understand what you mean by thumbnail but it has side mounted fingerprint which works just awesome. I personally have never used wireless charging (but maybe dealbraker for you) also water resistance is not important for me. Meanwhile I used it several times during heavy rain and nothing happened. Again its style, thickness, comfort in the hand, durable materials, its flawless ram capacity, suoerb battery life, even may be not the best but very very good cameras are the most important parts for me. Again specifically its weight and dimensions. God, it is lighter than my wife's S23 and almost the same thickness when folded. Its big screen (both screen pen active) and vibrant colors, multi-tasking capabilities, second space option (perfect for me) etc. Honor Magic V2 is just greatest of its competitors for now. Closest would be Vivo Fold3 maybe.
