I'm not sure if this will work or help, but try to make a copy of the ISO you're trying to use. Maybe some program has a hold of it like PowerISO (if you ripped it) or your web browser's download list (if you downloaded it).
doesnt work ... why when people upload the Xbox classic games to the websites dont they upload the corrected versions ... why do we as the end users have to make these corrections

I don't think it worked for me. all that happened is that the cd's files got extracted and none of the extracted files were recognised by the emulator.
The program didn't work for me. Every time I pick the ISO file, it only shows a few files that are small in size for me to extract. It doesn't show all of the files.
It works for most games but there's a few that give me a "failed to load ISO" message, then says it's they're being used already by something else? not sure how to fix that
For those that cant find the XBE file but find a xex file. XEX="xbox 360 executeble" while xbe="orginal xbox executeble". There are ways to change xex to xbe file format but I havent tried it because I dont think it will solve the issue, as it means we would be using a xbox emulator to play xbox 360 games that might open up many other problems like system requirements would grow beyoned reasoneble levels. Ofcourse if you want to play "simple" games i think thats could be a salution but thats not what I want. On xenia or another 360 emulator it might improve performance/stability having the ISO unpacked and the xex exposed and put on a SSD, but thats asuming that the instability comes from slow read speed. Its not unheard of for programs to mess up because of speed issues but its not something I've tested.

@@trippz7321 I havent tried it, but back when I did the comment I simply googled and had results that seem to claim to do so just like this video. (they might be false positives/false advertisement) But Xenia is an 360 emulator which means it can play xex, unfortunatly not everything is finished and many games still dont work and the system requirements are high and stability is an issue. Just giving you the option. If you make any progress let me know. Good luck.

When I followed your steps it dumped all of the files into my folder instead of just producing one xbe file... Is this normal because when I try to run the default xbe from the folder, it gives me black screen :(
happened to me also,had a shitload of files and when i found the xbe one i thought it was'nt working, had a black screen but 15 seconds later it worked, i guess it was the 15 second of the xbox animation when you startup an original xbox
the modern emulators run the roms in zip files. whats stopping someone from running or extracting the games from zip? i already can run them from ISO format but now i want to go even further.

I'm not really sure what this means. Could it be because my game is within too many folders?
I used ImgBurn7 to back up all my xbox games, and I got 2 files from each disc, but for some reason this program isn't accepting either of them. I haven't tampered with ImgBurn's settings in any way to affect what type of files I would get out of backing them up. Though for some reason, none of them are in the millions of kilobytes range like your test game is. Mine are only in the ten thousands of kilobytes range. Could that be part of the issue?
Restart your computer and try again. Get rid of the "-" & "()" in the folder names. For future reference it's not a good idea to use those in folder names as they could interfere with some applications. Let me know if that works. The error means it's being used by another process at the moment, so restarting could fix that. Make sure no other applications are using that file.

i could not figure this out i just got frustrated and deleted everything i figured out where to get the games what emulator to use and i fixed the settings for it the only problem was the iso folder if its for the xbox why wouldn't they just use xbe when i did it none of the files worked because i didint have enough space and it was only for one game all i wanted to do was play red dead revolver

Didn't work for me. When I got to the screen where you extract it from ISO none of the options listed in your video were there, just a blank one with a size of 0 bytes.
Its a bummer you cant buy blinx 2 from microsoft -.- I still remember having to contact microsoft just to get blinx 1 back on the xbox store after , they delisted it a year or so ago -.-

It's xbox 360 game, use xenia emulator instead... You can open the .iso directly, no need to extract it...

A bit late, but right click on the original ISO file ->Properties -> uncheck "Read Only" box

Make sure the game is compatible
After you load the XBE, on some emulators, you have to then start emulation.

@@nikurusu7646 yes you ripped them wrong. Xbox iso are not standard so don't use any pc software to rip them.

I extracted Saints Row & it doesn't have an xbe file. There is a xex file, but I have no idea what that is.
