Ra only gains the atk when it is special summoned, shrink changes its attack to half the original attack and returns it back to the original at the end of the turn (which in this case is still 0).

Yes, exactly and it doesn't gain that attack back because the sphere mode isn't like an equip card that gives attack continuously to the monster

Monsters who gain attack by effects, if a card effect is use to adjust their attach, like half or lower it, original attack, it attack return to normal.
some cards have the effect the added atk become their original attack points, like the Dark Cyber dragon Fusion Zane summon in the Cell match, "this card original Atk points become 800 times the number of fusion matiral use to summon this card"

So, from what I understand of why Ra’s ATK got knocked to 0 with Shrink, because Ra was summoned by the effect of Sphere Mode, it does not change its original ATK. Since Sphere mode is not constantly applying the effect while Ra is on the field, it takes the ATK to 0. According to rulings, if Ra uses its own effect to gain ATK, Shrink does nothing instead. Does this make sense? Not really, but it’s not a glitch because it’s been consistent with similar cards through other games.

Due to the fact Ra’s original attack is zero and based off of either lp or the misters to summon it it will be zero should the attack change. Since it was brought via sphere mode then was hit by shrink the original attack would turn back to zero

the reason is cuz its original att is 0 so u cant cut it in half and any eff that changes a mons attack thats originally 0 it removes all the attack and it become 0 while its on field it can also happen with imperm
Yeah, because Ra's original attack is 0 any card that changes a monster's attack stat back to a cards original attack will drop Ra's attack to 0 as Ra will only gain the 4000 attack and defense if it is summoned though the effect of Wing Dragon of Ra Sphere Mode. So for instance if Jen had Shrink in her hand when SuSu attacked with Ra's 8900 attack the Shrink card would have dropped it down to 0 because Shrink ignores and additional attack a monster might gain through card effects and does calculations based on the targets original attack and any card that question marks are defaulted to 0. I would love to see a battle between Jack Atlas and Crow, Red Dragon Archfiend vs Blackwings. As for a punishment I would love to see another 'Yu-Gi-Oh decides what we do for today!' Where the rarity of what Jen draws decides the activity you guys do and SuSu has to foot the bill.

Question: If this was the Battle City final match, then why wouldn't Kaiba have Slifer in that deck? Kaiba's whole goal was to get all three God Cards, and in the actual final match Yugi needed both Slifer and Obelisk to beat Ra, so shouldn't Jen have Slifer as well?

Shrink ruling vs Winged Dragon of Ra. Ra original attack is 0 when he summons off sphere mode he becomes 4k but shrink states original atk and therefore half of zero is still 0. When shrink is until end phase Ra stays 0 at because of ruling where it returns to original at rather then sp summoned atk. So Ra becomes 0. Hope this helps
Marik didn't run sphere mode it was just anime logic that if you didn't know the scripture it was sealed. So when mai took ra it was just sealed. As for shrink it is half original until end of turn then became it's original so 0 as ra gains on summon itss not it's original

The wing dragon of raw attack probably didn't return because the game tried to half zero since it's original attack was zero which caused the glitch. 🤷

In Kaiba’s deck of cards, he was planning on metal fiend spell card so another current token so he would use it against raw. If you carefully pick attention before you Kaiba given Yugi that card to summon obelisk the tormentor a lot quicker

Not too shabby about how I thought it would go the first two Duels. Without modern BEWD support Kaiba's Battle City deck could not over come Marik's deck. His traps and his Ace are just too impossible to overcome consistently. ^^;
As for duels I'd like to see has anyone requested a Duel across dimensions? Because I would love to see a twist on the Bonds Beyond Time: Tea, Akiza and Alexis vs Paradox. Which sadly Master Drool don't got four player support even though Cross proved it's more than possible to do a network like this.

It cause a special effect gave ra his points. That’s why it was stuck at 0. Sphere mode gave it those points, not ra itself or a equip spell
Its original attack only changed with its effect on activation, to get it's atk back up after it's summoned it would have to be summoned again to activate its effect again that makes it gain attack, you're welcome for the card ruling

Ra's attac is originally zero so half of zero is a negative number plus it gains it's 4,000 attack from the effect of sphere mode and until yugioh gets a new rule in the future it remains at zero Yami forbid there's a negative attack point value so I imagine it takes extra damage
Ra’s original was 0 and the gain was due to an effect upon summoning so the attack reverts to original and goes to 0. If the gain was due to an equipped card then it would’ve only taken half of the original which would’ve been 0 and Ra still would’ve been 4,000. You did the best you could with Sphere Mode since it couldn’t declare an attack due to its effect. If you had something in your hand to sacrifice it you could’ve done that or if you had something to negate an effect without targeting like Skill Drain then you could’ve negated its “Cannot attack” effect and crashed into his special summoned monster and ate the battle damage to keep him from summoning Ra and saved the Shrink for later.
