Nice. I use to design and build lift kits in the 1980’s. Back then it was twin ibeam setup on F-150’s and either leaf or coil springs on a solid axle on everyone else…… well the F-150 prior to 1980 was a coil spring on a solid axle. The point of my mentioning my experience is this, Rough Country is every bit as good as the most expensive BDS lift when comparing the lifting brackets, lifting spacers. However, other brands offer higher end shocks and struts that make their overall performance better then the “basic” rough country. That being said, Rough country’s Vertex shocks and coil overs are very good for the price point. For the 2004-13 F-150, the vertex shocks and coil overs are not available (sadly). So you can take the basic rough country lift and add custom King adjustable coil overs and shocks. This ends up at a very competitive price point compared to a loaded BDS or Zone lift. The only think missing on the rough county lift, in my opinion, is the brace that runs from the rear Lower control arm drop bracket. The brace is needed to keep the frame from distorting under heavy use.
hey man, where did you that 20in led light for the bumper cut out in front and how much was it? I got a cut out as well and want a light bar there. Also are those wheel spacers safe and have you off roaded with them on?
It is an FCK brand light bar. I believe it got it on sale for around $100 from their website a few years ago. These are about as safe as wheel spacers can get. They are hub centric and custom made for your specific vehicle. I have been offroading with them and have had zero problems. Not wimpy offroading either. Several trail runs and driving 60+ mph down rough farm roads.
How did the truck run after you put the phaser lockouts in?... Did you do anything else like new phasers, timing chains, VCT Solenoid Valves, upgraded oil pump ?

Super badass truck...I have an 05 lookin to lift it dont have the money to go crazy...its my daily driver use it for work pull small trailers hunting offroading camping...just truck stuff...how do yu like your lift? Does it handle good? I'd use a 6 inch but is it worth it?
What's are the billstein struts. Do u have a part number or series # or anything? Just bought a truck that was already lifted on 35s. Looking to upgrade some if the suspension parts and make it ride ever better
No sorry...I’m not sure if they even make them anymore. One of them broke about a year ago and I had to replace them with the rough country lifted struts. If you have the money though, coil overs are definitely the way to go.
Just a question sorry to bother you but after you put the lift what type of gas mileage are you getting I’m running a 2 1/2 inch Level right now I’m getting about 12 to 13 right now thank you for your help and time GodBless 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
How's the truck been with the lockouts? Debating on taking the risk and getting the 3v 5.4 over the reliable 2v 4.6 because the 5.4 makes way more horsepower..thanks bro.
Malcolm Stewart For mounting them I just drilled holes in the hitch receiver crossmember that I could poke the mounting bolts through. Got the wiring harness from amazon, but I had to extend the leads to reach all the way to the back.
Not good but not horrible for what it is. The trucks actually been on 37s for the past few years and it gets around 10-12 mpg. I don’t daily it anymore thankfully lol
I don’t think I said everything on eBay is cheap, but cheap shitty wheel spacers definitely exist and can be found on eBay, among plenty of other places. I just used eBay as an example. Bora is a well known and reputable manufacturer which is why I went with their spacers.
I get it but just little hint of advice... It's better to list that on the description or where you type the info reason being just for example because people are looking at your truck only for the lift so if I go back to the video and I'm at a tire shop we aren't going to watch the whole video again.. Yes I watched the video but good youtubers will put in the details area just fyi
Beautiful car! I’ve never really been interested in trucks but your video has helped me change my mind. 😃👍
Nice truck dude! I'm about to lift my 05 F150 and hopefully it looks good
_____ thanks man, I’m sure it’ll look great!

How did you mount the pods on the hood? Looks great!
Thanks, I made my own mounts out some metal shelf brackets. They bolt on to the hood hinges. Kind of half-assed, but they do the job.
Jake Guenther like regular ones from a hardware store?

Jake Guenther hey man I'm sorry to bother you but can you post a close up or a video of the ditch lights?

I’ve upgraded a few parts here and there but for a cheap lift it’s been great. About 50k miles on the lift so far and no issues with it
@@JGoonther thank you

Haven’t actually calculated it, but I’m guessing around 10-12.
@@JGoonther thank you for taking the time to reply 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼
I have an 07 f150 how much did the lift wheels and tires cost?
How's the truck been with the lockouts? Debating on taking the risk and getting the 3v 5.4 over the reliable 2v 4.6 because the 5.4 makes way more horsepower..thanks bro.
The 5.4 had some problems with the spark plugs but those are really a big deal really easy to replace, with the 5.4 you will have more power tho
Yo man I just got one of these f150s and I’m looking to do the pod lights for reverse. What’s the wiring and mounting like for them?
Malcolm Stewart For mounting them I just drilled holes in the hitch receiver crossmember that I could poke the mounting bolts through. Got the wiring harness from amazon, but I had to extend the leads to reach all the way to the back.
Have you had any issues with the rear driveshaft binding up?
I have not
What is cam phaser lockout?
Your mom should know
How reliable has it been ??
So you lifted the back as well ???
old man gamer yeah, it would have like a 4in squat if you didn’t install the lift blocks that come with the kit
Any issues with your wheels spacers??
Reece Gilbert so far so good!
Where did you get the cam phaser lock out
Travis Richardson I believe it was a Livernois kit
What kind of mpg is ol girl gettin

Everything on Ebay is not cheap just because it's made in America does not mean it's not cheap as well I find alot if China stuff better then usa

That’s literally the first thing I talk about in the video lmao
