    Great match guys, very entertainment. I appreciate Nathan´s intensity and agressive style of play. Didn´t seem to pull out any punches. Beautuful two handed backhand from him as well. Hope to see you again on the channel Nathan. Winston, your backhand is doing much better, and that heavy topspin forehand should be getting you a bunch of points.

    Nathan has a ton of game for a sophomore. Really impressed with your first step which was almost always forward coming out of your split step. Your flat serve is impressive for any age. You play with a very aggressive mindset and confidence with the offensive skill to back it up. Your primary weakness is your drive volley. You have a good touch volley which is pure back spin but your approach volleys were chipped with pure back spin. You will find that good players at the D1 level will punish you coming behind a chip volley that floats and bounces high. You might consider learning how to carve the volley hitting the outside of the ball creating a side spin combined with less back spin. The side spinning volley can be struck with more pace, will not float so much, and will penetrate with a very low bounce. If you have access to a ball machine or playing partner, work on carving those volleys to reach the fence on one bounce. If you can get that degree of pace and penetration on your volleys you will add more teeth to an already impressive offensive arsenal! Well done.

    Nathan's variety, touch, and gutsy net play is a joy to watch, think he could maybe be a little more patient before going all in on the attack from the baseline to avoid some misses--grind a bit more to allow players like Winston to miss or produce shorter attackable balls. Also, love seeing Winston going for it and finishing some points at net, game is always improving and great to see.

    Nathan has a great game! Nice first and second serve, great backhand slice, and solid net game. If I was to make one technical comment, if he brought his racket back higher in his unit turn he could add more shape and height to his backhand which could give him more margin and consistency. But plenty of pros have low take backs and hit line drives, so it can work either way.

    Hey Winston. Two words: Topspin Lob. When he comes in like that an you are in a position to get to the ball comfortably, hit the toppy lob. Work on it. • @Synonymtoast
      @Synonymtoast 2 місяці тому

      @@gregg9694 It's the intended setup by the manufacturer (toroline). The Main/Cross strings are two different strings, specifically supporting the strength of the each string in the Main/Crosses. Obviously though this is all preferential in the end, but he may not be getting the marketed effect of K-pro, rather something different feeling. Also if someone else restrings his racquet, they may be handing him back something he may feel is "off"

    This was an excellent match my dude, I noticed in the beginning of the match Winston on your first serve you were dropping your head before you hit your first serve and that’s why you were missing the serve, as the match went on you corrected that mistake a little bit and got more serves in, both of you fellas played great tennis and I have seen you play better tennis before, because you got more first serves in. My question is do you play better when you get more first serves in? Or is that something you don’t think about? My strengths were my ability to return serve and put pressure on my opponents, when I started making mistakes on return of serves my game changed a little bit. I didn’t notice that when I was playing, but my coach did, and I fixed that mental issue on my return and it helped me. I am wondering if Krue has ever mentioned that you drop your head down before contact on first serve and you don’t drop your head down as much on second serve? You are a great player Wu and you have a lot of potential to become even better my dude. I just wanted to say thank you for all that you and your friends do for the game of tennis and I wish everyone here the best. Great match fellas!

    Winston I think you should try to achieve a bigger racquet drop. I can see your racquet doesn't drop much and, because of that, the swing goes from left to right if that makes sense. If you manage to drop it more loosely it will swing all the way to the right and then go up in edge. That will stretch your shoulder and enable a more powerful internal rotation of the shoulder/pronation 🙏

  • @paulkramer4176
    @paulkramer4176 4 місяці тому +1

    Nathan has a great game. I think he tried some shots that he shouldn't have and maybe wouldn't have if he hadn't realized he was the stronger player. His serve was very good. His touch volleys less so. He should have put some of those volleys away better. Winston, you were overpowered frankly. Your serve wasn't as good as usual either. Nathan the clear winner, but he could have been even stronger with better shot selection. If Winston had come back a bit sooner, it could have been much closer. Nathan, keep the pressure up, make your opponent run and don't give them hope when you miss some foolish shots. Look at the D1 players. Consistent, and they keep coming at you. You have every potential to be there.
