Algebra - Solving Systems of Inequalities by Graphing

  • Solving systems of equations has many forms: the substitution method, the elimination method, and graphing. But for *inequalities*, solving systems can only be done by graphing. That's because we need to shade above or below the line. The shaded region represents all the points that would satisfy (or, work) within the inequalities. 8th Grade Math teacher. I do not teach a subject on math until I watch one of your videos on the topic being taught. No ego going on here, you are an amazing math teacher. Please keep up the good work. Thank you for always providing a good concept explanation. That helps convey the reason for the lesson. Keep it up.

    Why all that when you have the y=2 plug 2 in y-axis, then go down one, two to the right, and to see which side to shade, try the test point (0, 0) if you get a false statement shade the half that doesn’t include (0, 0) if you get a true statement, shade the side that has (0, 0)

  • @bricktothehead
    @bricktothehead 4 роки тому

    I understand better now than I did when I first studied it, but It is still a little confusing
    9:15, If 'Y' axis or Y< 1 is vertical and is written +1, then why do you write it horizontal?
    11:38, In the last term, I understand 5 being the Intercept, but where did you did get 2?
    Why are you saying 2?... Do you mean 'too'?... Meaning 'as well'?

      duaa fatima in slope you rise and run. You make the number in front of the x a fraction and go up the numerator and denominator like this -)

    I guess at 12:40 of timestamp.. not just every point within the region is the solution but also the points on 2nd and 3rd equation would be the solution to the system.. except the points on first eq... since there is no pencil in the equation.. hope I interpreted it correctly.
