@@711froglover cool! I never thought of it that way, i thought the ear would be around next to its eyes, i have a baby budgie and when he gets wet I can see his ears :)
I find it a little sad that blue jays have such a bad reputation. They really are such interesting and intelligent birds (related to crows in the corvid family). They are loud but they serve as an alarm system for other birds too when predators are around. Ever since I started following Lesley the Bird Nerd I've had a new appreciation for Blue Jays!
They are just like the popular kids I high school. Because they are pretty and loud, they believe they get all access to everything. It’s a shame that they are so beautiful
Wait, so they are related to Crows, Right? I did some research and The Hawk noise is to scare off predators and The weak, but I've seen Cardinals face off against Jays a few times.
@@Roasty420 Hmmm I’ve seen it too. Cardinals come in my backyard often and so does the blue jays, but the cardinals seem to quite literally be immune to the noise 😂
Blue jays are all bluff. Sometimes it works for them, sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve seen mourning doves take on all comers, from Blue Jays to woodpeckers and chipmunks, and totally kick ass. :) This gentlest looking of all birds... will slap the crap out of other birds. You go, Mourning Dove. Get it!!!
If they are the same size or the blue Jay is bigger it could get rough for the woodpecker as well (the woodpecker species I’m referring to is the red bellied one)
When I was a kid blue jays were the bullys on the block. Now its the grackles where I live. 😁My cat doesnt react to anything but sure wanted to take a look when he heard that noisy jay.
I love this, what do you put out for them. If I had the food open like this the pigeons, doves, squirrels and chipmunks, black birds and Crackles will eat it all in like 20 mins
I love how that mourning dove gets all puffed up when the blue jay shows up.
So cute
He's standing his ground
Well yeah he knows there’s about to be some bs
Blue Jay: Fear me!
Dove: No.
Blue Jay: FEAR ME!
Dove: Do you mind?
Blue Jay: ... *Opens beak and makes no noise*
Dove: Whoa! I'm out.
This is so true 😆
*fhuhuhu*
That poor dove flinching every time the blue jay screams lol
It was so peaceful until blue jay came... lol. 🤣
The dove is like “can you just not..”
I adore the mourning dove just fluffing up and when it looks with its face forward it looks like it got cheeks
Under its "cheeks" ate hole which are its ears

Blue jays prey on birds so.....
..
Have you ever seen them pin a live songbird to the ground and eat it’s stomach?
I love the Blue Jays around because they sound the alarm when I let my kitty outside. All the birds and squirrels scatter from the feeders.
They are just like the popular kids I high school. Because they are pretty and loud, they believe they get all access to everything. It’s a shame that they are so beautiful
Doing it's Hawk imitation! Little Dove held its ground for a moment though! 😆
The dove didn’t fly away guys, he simply exploded as he kept puffing up and up until he couldn’t take it anymore.
Mordecai VS Some other unknown random bird
Every time he squaks the dove puffs up even more and does a slight pull up on his chest
In my experience blue jays may try to bully other birds but quickly back down if it doesn't work.
Blue jay: screams for no reason
Actually he might have did that to keep the smaller birds away and look intimidating
@fish8887 That's definitely why he did that, you missed the humor though.
The mourning dove is so cuteeee
It belongs to the corvid family. they are amongst the intelligent birds. It knows how to scare away the other birds. It sounded like a hawk there.

Very beautiful close up video! It is always interesting to see how different birds interact. Great video!
love how they mimic other birds…like a hawk right here 😂😂😂
Bad boy of the neighborhood 😳🌻😊⭐️
The dove is so cute🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
hahaha, Blue Jay goes like in bully mode and Dove goes like wtf did i do?
That dove was on edge until the blue jay just chilled and started to eat, dove relaxed and ate too

Blue Jay: MAHH
Morning Dove: Could you please shut up?
That's them! It's all "Aaa! Aaa! Aaa!" And then pig out! They're funny though.
Mourning dove: did you eat my stuff? Blue jay: Take two, two two two!
Sounds like a tiny firecracker being launched into the sky .-.
Now I wish a woodpecker can show up and tell the blue kay who is the boss
If they are the same size or the blue Jay is bigger it could get rough for the woodpecker as well (the woodpecker species I’m referring to is the red bellied one)
What'a a blue kay?
@@fish8887 I've seen Blue Jays chase RBWs from feeders. RBWs can be aggressive.
He’s sooo mean!! 😂 but I still love him I can’t help it! The dove is just extra cute 🥰
I love this type of video. I knew it would be a big trend back in my Yahoo 24/7 days.
Morning dub is making the sound in the beginning
Blue jay: NEEEAAHH!!
the other birds: "Okay, everyone panic!"
Also you're on my recommended. Looks like the algorithm is on your side.
After all that yelling the blue jay should eat the walnut
Blue jay is like why aren’t you moving
Props to the dove for standing his ground.
One of the best bird videos ever. It just didn't get enough views.
Dove - avoid all eye contact.
Bird Frenzy! Unstoppable
good sir... you can eat with us without screaming

There’s more than enough for everybody, but this blue jay doesn’t wanna share.
Omg! The dove slapped him! So amazing
The dove missed
@@fish8887 Wİng attack has no damage though
The blue jay mimicked the dove's sharp call, amplified it and won!
“Let’s play PUNCHIES for this turf!”🐦
Did anyone notice the dove was making the blue jay sounds? 0:26
I watched a Steller's Jay push a sizeable squirrel off a tree branch today. Is that a Towhee and a Finch on the left?
Yes. Eastern Towhee looks like he’s molting and American Goldfinch😊
Mordecai has had enough
The morning dove reaction is very interesting. I did not know they did that! Cool
I love this community.
L.G.B. Let's go blue jay!
Jays are such fantastic birds. We sadly don't have blue jays here, only eurasian jays, but these guys are cool regardless
Aren't Blue Jays related to Crows? I see tons of Crows bullying Doves and Other birds for food, so this makes sense.
Yes, they are corvids just like crows
Darn, was hoping for a really good wild pokemon battle here...
Do you ever see Timberdoodles? (American woodcocks) my favorite NE birds
Well Blue Jay can you scare an owl?
At 1:37, we can see the pigeon is fed up with his S***
This is hilarious! 😂🤣🤣😂🤣
Beautiful Bird but Just a Mean Big Bully
Blue Jay: tseeeeeee! tseeeeeeee! Don't you see that I'm a hawk?
Dove: If you are a hawk I'm Marilyn Monroe...
What kind of birds ate the seeds with the dove at the beginning of the video before the blue jay shows up?
Eastern Towhees
@@CritterCam1 Thanks! Those are cute!
Hahaha I love this clip.
The blue jay wanted to play punchies
Man the Blue Jay was more annoying that mean. It's like that uncle at the dinner table that wont shut up!
😂🤣

My doves just sit their like fat-asses. They never move for the Blue Jays.
Here too! They drive me crazy. Feeder hogs!
awwww

science say blue jays are actually brown but I do see blue I do :)
I hate blue jays! They are the Worst bird of all the bird visitors we have.
