I was completely sober for 3 years before the pandemic, fell off the wagon but back trying to adjust my sober mindset. It's amazing being sober. However, I can totally relate to your thoughts that it's hard to adjust to or confront a more raw reality. I think you are absolutely fabulous to be so enlightened at 33...it took me til 43 to even begin to process all of this. I'm still processing it. I realised that I'm not actually an extrovert, I don't like making small talk with strangers on a night out, and I don't really enjoy lots of the things I thought I did when I was a drinker. Keep up the good work, and the brilliant videos (shared your channel and sung your praises in a little sober group I'm in 😁) The only replacement for journey I can think of is a voyage of discovery...because it really is! 😂😂

I'm so glad I didn't know what was ahead of me in the beginning it would have been even more overwhelming in some ways. Why do women keep insisting on policing other women's language, dress, life choices? Did this woman not JUST tell you she was done people pleasing and was committed to being herself and only herself? You are literally telling her to be more ladylike, demure, and what YOU would do. It's tiresome. You do you and leave other women to be who they are. Not everything has to be catered to your specific taste. I happen to think her "fucks" are fine and express her personality the way she wants.
