- It’s pretty much winter time here in Massachusetts, but Ice Fishing hasn’t started yet. So I was on a mission to find some WINTER TOADS. Little did I know I was in for a surprise from some Pickerel and Bass…This is what happened when I tied on my Black & Blue Jackhammer Chatterbait and took it for a spin in Late November

What’s the kayak called?
My friend fishes wordens pond in south Rhode Island all the way till it ices over . Uses the chatter bait too . That pond is avg depth 6 ft catches most fish in 2-3 ft which baffles me but I guess the fish don’t have to much choice .
Same here - there’s this lake that’s 6 feet deep at it’s deepest point that provides fish up until ice

@@mattfuller4250 you need to try the quabbin res in western mass for big smallmouth in April , may I’ve been 2 times caught some over 4 pds it’s fun . Right off beds

@@mattfuller4250 Yw you can rent boats I went 2 years around the end of may both times they were still on beds. But my friend fishes there year round it’s a amazing fishery . He gets the smallmouths to come up off humps for top water he says it addicting I’d agree they fight so hard . If you’re in the Worcester area singletary pond is a decent choice too .
