  • Crystal Cove Newport Beach offers an enchanting landscape where you can witness a rich variety of marine life in their natural habitats. We will guide you through step by step directions.
Best time to visit is at low tide, park In Los Trancos Parking lot off Los Trancos road across from the beach lots. The coastal side of Los Trancos is for handicap drop off and bus drop off. Once parked ($15 parking) Then take beach trail under PCH through a fun tunnel. The tide pools are left of the beach access once you pass the cottages and the Beach Comber Cafe.
The Caves are further north on PCH, park in farthest north coastal side parking lot and park in Lot 1. Head right towards the beach, stay going right the complete time, you will pass under arched overhangs as seen in the video and look to the coast for stairs leading to the beach and go right at the bottom of the stairs, you can see the cave from the top of the stairs.
Preparation is key to enjoying your day to the fullest.
    1. Proper footwear, comfortable shoes, or rubber water shoes, any grippy soles for walking on tide pools and on top of rocks.
    2. Sunscreen, water, towels, change of clothe, sandals for after, and any equipment and sand toys for kids, you might need for exploring the tide pools

This place is a true hidden gem. I found this by accident getting lost in Orange County.

Thank you for watching! Yes this is such a beautiful place and as you say "hidden gem " it really is because you can't see it from the street level! 😀😀👍👍

We are truly blessed to live in So Cal, I remember growing up and going to Corona Del Mar which has a huge cave, but sadly I believe it’s been closed off because of vandalism but there’s little Corona which is beautiful😉

@@hikebytes. I grew up in Santa Ana and me and my friends would jump on the bus for 25 cents and go to Newport Beach or the Balboa fun zone or the wedge for the day. Perry’s pizza or Tastee Freeze was must, those days are long gone🥲
