- 10 year ago.... but at the 30th of june 2013 you can see Roger Bolliger with his fantastic TRANS AM again!
More information about the event you will find here: www.bergrennen-...
That Camaro is deceptively, amazingly quick. It looks like a modern AWD car flying up that hill.
notice it's a z/28 that camaro is a track monster in trans am racing in 1970
you need to change your prescription.............
but @ 3:20 the poor old SBC said "Enough!".
Obviously all the people hating on muscle cars aren't proper gearheads, a real car enthusiast can appreciate a car for what it is not what it isn't.
Ive always loved the roaring sound of good ol american muscle :)
man, whoever is piloting that red (red-hot :D ) 2nd gen Camaro (think it's a Z/28) absolutely knows what they are doing! i mean, he/she thrashes that brute through those tight twisties across those narrow swiss mountain raods.
It's always a pleasure seeing American muscle no matter what road it's blasting down. Good video
not much blasting going on
The steering response on that Camaro looks insane. I did not expect that.
Awesome driving and very cool cars! How in Gods Earth can 17 people reject this video?
@Sund0wn OOF
If you don't enjoy this video you are obviously not a car person. Simple.
That something is theater and power. Euro cars are like an orchestra both balanced and refined, predictable with highs and lows giving off beautiful music. American Muscle cars are like an out of control rock concert that leave you ears ringing, body shacking and a smile you couldn't sandblast off. Nothing on this planet plays a song like the big block v8's and it's unique sound.
FOR LARGE AMERICAN MUSCLE ON TIGHT\CURVY EUROPEAN ROADS THEY ACTUALLY DID PRETTY WELL. AFTER ALL THE ROADS IN THE USA ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM THOSE IN EUROPE & ASIA.
ON LOTS OF CURVES I'D PROBABLY LOVE TO HAVE MY BMW 3 SERIES BACK, BUT FOR EXPRESSWAYS WITH LONG STRAIGHTS MY OLD MUSCLE CARS ARE THE MOST FITTING :)
EACH HAS THEIR PLACE !
Not all American cars are created equal. Early TransAms, Mustangs, Challengers could run with Europeans and beat them straight out of the showrooms. Other larger behemoths, such as Olds 98, could do it too as long as you weld the suspension shut, otherwise they will wallow off the road rather quickly. But for cruising down the road, nothing beats an American car that has a softly sprung suspension and a big thumping V8. They are great cars...best in the World!
I really like that red camaro. It sticks so good to the asphault. trippy
It is uncommon for an american car to perform that well in this kind of tracks. By the way, I love that second gen camaro
WOW!!!! that on-board footage was great!! you can really tell they have put work into the suspension of these caars they corner so well for this era of americana!
that red z/28 is awesome
That Corvette, wow. 454, 570hp/1220kg and that SOUND it makes. Drooly!
There's a lot of my favorite American muscle cars here and love the fact they are setup for road racing. They look better this way instead of a straight line drag setup.
I don't know idiots are comparing the speeds of these cars with today's cars or proper hill climb cars.
Never seen muscle cars driven like this before. Very interesting
God I want that red camaro...
The Camaro ran really well with no valve seals in place ....
bad valve seal usually smoke when car is cold, this one smokes because he put supercharger on an old engine, and old piston rings can't handle that much pressure
@@ahoorakia smart guy you are, good catch bud
yeah i agree, you can feel the brutal torque just by standing next to a big block V8.
This was so awesome to watch and listen to. Thank you for uploading
My uncle raced dragsters in the 80's and 90's in southern California.
This is the sound of my childhood.
the second corvette they show is the toughest car i've ever heard in my life
der 1970 pontiac trans am ist geil :D
Ist aber leider ein 71😂
Dear god I fell in love when the Javelin tore by...
I always really enjoy all of your videos , but especially this one ,
this was super bad ass !! thanks for sharing
thank you so much for posting this. LOVE IT
That White 1973 SD-455 T/A 4 spd. of Roger Bolligers @ 0:20 A Favorite 🏁🏆😎
looks like 298 has some blow by. still love the american muscle in europe.
You got it right!
Amazing machine!
American Muscle ,oh yer baby
So refreshing to see a group of american cars taking corners..the way their shapes promised..flat and hugging the road...instead of the boresome drag slicks in the back..
Really cool cars!
the audacity of American Muscle, excessive power and then some ! more than anyone can handle. you just gotta love it ! :)
so much hate!!! for me, personally I couldn't be more excited to watch 15 minutes of automotive sound and visual bombardment! every car is different, if you dont like american cars, DONT BUY ONE!!!! I love this channel I love how much work you put into filming these events and thanks for uploading!!!!
pure awesomeness !! i love this cars so much
I think my pants got wet. Such cool cars and this sound... Music for the ears
My boss rented a Toyota Tercel manual and I was driving the highway 101, or 1. Can't remember which is it that winds up and around northern California then comes out south down the coastline highway. It first started out as a casual drive, then turn race amongst several other's racing up the winding roads. Car after car eventually pulled over to let me pass due to the high speeds. About 20 plus cars were ahead, but did eventually let me pass. Then there was the last a white Porsche. We duked it out for a bit, but it did eventually let me pass. To my surprise, it was a lady driver! My boss in the vehicle was really nervous, but hung on and enjoyed the brief excitement! Later on he bought me a limited edition '73 Firebird Formula for a bonus for making the company lots of money. After the final build took the north route heading to Denver Colorado, again with my boss. Trying to reach my top speed, but the long dips in the highway at over 185 got me airborne and then noticed a highway patrol car underneath and underpass. Sooo, after him telling me how he got his job and his racing experience in his 57 chevy, gave me a ticket for 65! Needless to say I'll miss that car.
Thanks for the memories! 💖
those last 3-4 mins were brilliant! loved it especially the corvette. They are normally very tail happy i am told.
I have driven a third gen camaro once and was mind blown how direct and responsive steering was!
This is why it's all worth-it!! Long live PMD.
oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nothing beats the sound of push rod V8 american cars
Thanks mate...
Growing up in Switzerland in 50 s and 60s riding around in my dads Buick was great . Of course the roads were much narrower . On the mountains the bus was always on the cliff side . If the road was to narrow to pass ,the car always had to back up ,to a cut out . My favorite was a 1956 Buick Special . The swiss love American cars , but insurance is based on engine size so a lot of people can't afford them .
Ouch, the white TransAm!
GREAT! Love seeing muscle cars tear up the track.
Stop hating guys... a properly tuned and driven muscle would give nightmares to any car south of sport and formula on a fast track (bergrennen pops to mind).. if you think different you've probably never seen live the way they literally jump out of corners and accelerate...
wow ,what a great event.
Wunderbar! Alles.
A thrill to watch👌
That's because this is more of an exhibition event rather than an actual timed race. Most of these cars are just standard road cars driven by their owners.
Wooo....like orange Pontiac GTO 0:43.
This cars soo powerfull,around 425Bhp?
They're heavy, don't corner and don't brake. Euro cars were always years ahead in technology. But American Muscles still have something that made them appealing
I LOVE the cones! What a freakin GENIYS idea. Plus I've had a hardon for a '72 Z28 since I was 13. Had a good friend growing up who had a '75 T/A just like that white one. Only silver, with no bird.
its ez to win the internet with you xoxo
Love these American V8’s. The styling of them looks so much better than the ugly shitboxes that are being made today from Japan, China, South Korea etc, etc...
I feel like the Corvettes and Trans Ams can do hill climes very well due to them being balanced
Correct...
an old american muscle car!.... taking corners! take THAT Europe!
Loved the video wish there had been a Chevelle got me thinking about road racin instead of drag racing I know I'd get more seat time lol qtrs and eighths happen pretty quick
Great cars!
would have loved to try this with my 72 trans am.
the mecca of sports racing in my opinion its the best because it tests your very best accuracy coordination handling and maneuvering capabilities as a driver with the known and unknown variables and x-factors of you and your cars performance under duration at high rates of speeds in difficult turns
to all my friends in my circle, sorry bout the missed times to chat. for the past month i've been on daredevil stunt rider jamboree.its been adrenaline pumping heart racing and off the edge of your seat excitement. I had to distance myself and conquer my fears of stunt riding. I passed the test and now its gonna be public displays of how I've mastered my machine. 1000ccs
well in a coupla weeks my stunt riding and drag racing abilities we'll be on full display. America brace yourself because the shockwave is coming
1st time ever i see a nascar make a right turn! hahaha!
'Murica!
Thank you for the video, thumbs up.
HELL YEAH
that red 70+ Camaro looks pretty well sorted for track use.
because that red camaro is a z/28 camaro that car is used for trans am racing back in 1970
37 folk disliked this. I just don’t understand that 😩🙈 what’s not to love ❤️
That Z28 must be an original? Behaves much better than I'd expected from a muscle car. Features the racing chassis?
Well, to be fair, this isn't a drift event/burnout contest.
But you're right, that Camaro really needed a check-up
yes mate ,your channel rocks, keep up the good work.
Jepp, alle...
Ist nen "remastered" Video von 2003 - da gabs bei MPZ noch kein HD ;-)
I like it! Something different, and awesome sounds! B¬)
Yer, they might not be the fastest round corners but, damn do they sound GOOD!
danke für die aufklärung :)
this are tuned cars whit suspension mods...and can corner properly...
I think a lot of people don't realize is these cars where never made to corner or stop well. They where made for stop light to stop light acceleration. That's it. Corner was an after thought on most modern muscle cars until the late 80's. So yes European cars handled better then they'er American counter parts, but that was pretty much by design. American muscle cars of the 60's and 70s where cheap affordable hp. That's it
Challenger @ 1:06..... I want!!!!!
No.131 WOOOOOOOOOOOOWW
0:07 absolutely gorgeous
5:38..far too close! thank god..the car is ok!
(( So great Swiss U.S.muscle car fans racers...nice burnout.loud v8.smoke...the corvette i cool ★★..are Toretto there?? ;-)
Great video! :D
schönes filmchen, danke fürs hochladen!
wechselt nur bei mir dauernd die qualität (zwischen schlecht und noch schlechter xD) oder hat das problem noch jemand?
12:04 What a monster :p
i was looking for general lee lol!!
Glub glub glub glub RAWRRRRRR
1:01 '67 Pontiac GTO.
+Lucas Martínez Parra I think it's just a tempest. GTOs say gto in the grill whereas tempests' just say Pontiac
mrcrazybadaze okay
DART/GTO. DO WANT.
That red Camaro had more smoke coming from the exhaust than from the tires...
Depends on the racing. We have an oval on Fontana. Drag strip in Pomona. And GP in Long Beach. Though F1 hasn't been here in a long time.
Other than that we have lots of rally cross and auto cross events. I think it's time we build a new track and bring back F1. Laguna Seca just isn't up to spec for the FiA.
Do they do bends in Southern California ?
Eleanor!!
With 14-18 beers my (wish I still had) 1983 Mustang GL 5.0 4bbl 5spd would have out handled many if not all and out ran the majority of them.
Smoked a lot of lesser dolts in that same shape and vehicle.
That 131 Vette would have been a POS compared to it....LOL!!!!
Seit 2002 ;-)
The red Camaro with the smoking engine was.
Onboard footage and red camaro footage are sped up alot
