This is a criminally low number of views for such well done contact. Nathaniel's videos are interesting and accessible. Not buried in academese but also expecting a general level of historical knowledge.
I absolutely intend to pick up at least a few of these. I am starting college soon (coming in late, mid 20s) hoping to get a degree in archaeology. Do you know of any archaeologists who specialize in the Southwest region and make youtube videos like you? Learning about the Hohokam and the Ancestral Puebloans was the major reason I decided to study archaeology.
Ancient Americas does a lot of southwest stuff, but I don't know of anyone who does things with the kind of regional focus I have. Be the change you want to see in the world.
A professor of mine mentioned doing her dissertation at dust Cave, cool list, Boone before Boone sounds interesting. I’ve been working for a CRM firm for a few years in western New York. Thanks for the upload
@@NathanaelFosaaen that rules, her and professor Klink were so great during my field school, i wish I had been a better student at the time lmao, loved her zooarch course
When is your book coming out? Are you doing anything else other than digging? Have you seen all the citizens who are sharing portable Rock Art? More and more every day. I’ve been doing this for one and a half years now. I think it’s time we told people the truth. There’s a whole lot more than arrowheads out there. There’s a complicated multifaceted style of art that will take a few weeks to learn, luckily, the artifacts from North Carolina people are able to see right off the bat. Just take a peek at the avatar.
Nothing makes me sit up faster than book recommendations.

By Paleo-Indian First Settlements. The beginnings of sedentarism & agriculture?
No. Paleoindian is long before agriculture and probably before sedentism.
Nicely said.
Thanks!
Thanks for giving me the nudge to actually follow through on this. There'll be more recommendations in the future.
I've been waiting for this: a new video by Nate. 11. Great topic as I've been fascinated with the Eastern tribes since childhood.
Nice, added all of these to my wish list!
Thank you!
Thanks man good stuff!!

Nathanael have you ever done any study into the Glacial Kame culture? They are much understudied and misunderstood
Only tangentially in my reading on the Old Copper Complex. Definitely worth a more focused examination.
Good stuff!

I had some in the faunal assemblage I analyzed in grad school.
@@NathanaelFosaaen any chance of seeing pictures of some
@@mikedothager5600 there are pictures of the bone tools in my thesis. Google "no tunes chime amidst the bones" and you'll find it.
