Thank you so much for shouting out my channel! What a lovely surprise! You made my week! I'm a bit slow in replying. Life is crazy at the moment. I miss my sewing room so bad but my puppy is such a good reason ❤❤. Sewing in dribs and drabs at the moment. I love all you alternative sewing tools. Why did I never think of that😊❤ ❤
I'm so glad I was able to surprise you! 🥰 You have such a great channel and I really enjoy your makes. Sometimes we all have interruptions from sewing when life takes over. I hope you get back to sewing soon! Have a wonderful weekend! 🪡💞💞💞
I love that knot front top!!! That fabric is great and it's the perfect fabric for that pattern!!! I used to love cargo pants!! I can't believe they are coming back hey!!!
It’s still hot here in California too. Both tops are very pretty. I love the way you finished the hem of the flounce on your serger. Very nice. Now I want to go to Hobby Lobby. :)
Grace, loved this fun post. My fav is the olive green top, it brings out your green eyes! I like the modeling because it really shows the garment and how it wears and moves. As always great show. ❤️
You had some nice makes this week. I really like the off the shoulder top, the first one you showed. I wish I could wear something like that. It's really cute!
Can't decide which top I like better! Both really cute and can be styled with so many things, as you showed. Frustrating when you have to guess about what size to make - figuring that out is often one of the big reasons I procrastinate making some things and keep checking reviews, flat measuring, measuring myself, measuring old clothes in a similar style, etc. - ease is such a big thing, too, and not always obvious how much is in the pattern. Looking forward to seeing what you do next!
Hi Grace, your blouses are gorgeous, but my favorite is the blue swirl fabric. The fit is just perfect on you, the twist hits you in the right place👏👏👏. I don’t have cargo pants, I am not sure if I will like the pockets in the leg🤔. Thank you for another great video. Have a great weekend 💞💞💞💞💞💞
Thanks Karen, the twist top was a challenge to fit but the knit was forgiving and easy to work with. I'm going to try the cargo pants. Hopefully I will like them. Enjoy your weekend too! 🥰🥰💖💖💖
You always bringing it. Are you peeking on me? My make was not done and it’s close to your week make , next week I’ll post .I love that too ,wow the twist is fabulous.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Grace! I've had NL 6507 cut out for over a year😏. Perhaps, I should just get it done now. You always look great in sage green. I love the blue swirl fabric but a self imposed fabric ban is keeping me from visiting HL for a while😌. I think that B6899 may look good as a dress. I will remember your words of caution regarding the sizing.
LOVE your B6899 make, which I have!!!! Excellent to know about the sizing. situation. My style of blouse! Just went to Hobby Lobby yesterday, but didn't see either of the fabrics you used for your makes. I'm convinced that the stores on the west coast don't carry as much fabric as the stores in the east. Same with The Dollar Tree stores. The eyebrow shavers you got at Dollar Tree are just not out here. Ordered mine (3 pk) on Temu for 87 cents, which I was happy about. I have a seam roller I bought several years ago at.... Home Depot! It's for rolling the seams of wall paper. The roller is wooden (if I remember correctly) and is very sturdy. I'd probably end up breaking a plastic roller. LOL! Had to chuckle re: your mentioning cargo pants like everyone is doing. So Carole's cargo pants mash up today I called her "Franken-pants" came out so nicely! I'm not into cargo pants, but maybe someday I will be. My tastes in clothing changes the older I get! Go figure!!!
Thanks Dori, I got both of my fabrics in the beginning of Summer. The knit was in the clearance bin. I got the olive green floral for 40% off. I'm going to check out So Carole's cargo pants video today! 🥰
How fun Grace! As always, I appreciate you modeling your makes in such a way as to let us see how they look both on and how they wear when you move. And they look marvelous, of course!! As far as twist tops go, I have seen You Tube videos of people making and wearing it. I like the V in the front better that the high neck. By the way- I live in a rural mountain town in California and the nearest Joann's is 60 miles away. I saw your short post about the Simplicity sale last weekend and hopped in the car to check it out! Thanks for the head's up- I bought a, uh, some, er, several patterns new to me.!!!
Thank you Katherine! 🥰 Yes, I agree, I prefer the lower neckline. This top will be fine for the Fall. Wow you have a long drive to Joann's. YIKES. Please look out for future pattern sales on my Community tab. Next week will be Butterick and McCalls.
Super cute shirts, Grace! Thanks for the tip on the sizing for the knotted one. I have the pattern but haven't made it up yet. It looks so nice made out of the knit! You can't go wrong with the first pants pattern you picked up. They're awesome! Thanks for another fabulous video!
Thanks Lara, 🥰 I like the knit version. No zip needed! Also, I really need to make pants. They are very intimidating but I'll have to go for these 2 patterns. 💖
Both of those tops are so nice and have great details! The twist top is a great way to elevate a simple top but I’m pretty dubious about the sizing, especially since Simplicity definitely didn’t provide any clarification! Like most people, I decide my size totally based on the finished garment measurements. The date on those cargo pants! I’m not surprised because I keep seeing looks from the early 2000s back in style but it’s still funny to see something as recent as 2011 be a hot trend this year. 2011 counts as recent right?! I was sew inspired by you, as always! Thanks for the great reviews.
Thanks Erin! Yes, the sizing of the twist top is tricky. I can't wait to make the cargo pants. I need to find the right fabric. Maybe a twill? Well, I'm glad I inspired you! Glad to see you're settling into your new home. Happy sewing!
Any day sewing is the BEST day!! Love both those tops on you, so very cute ❤ That Butterick one has been on my list to make for a while as I have the pattern but I can see the sizing may be tricky. You certainly cracked it though as it looks super on you. I keep looking at it thinking I just haven't got the right fabric for it 😂. If you ever want a go at making Capris, try my favourite Burda 6534, they come out so well every time and are quite easy to make. I'm just waiting for some white denim to make another pair. I always think I have NL 6055 then I look and I confuse it with 6644 which is so similar. Cargos are definitely the thing this year 😂. Thanks for sharing your makes and new patterns and as ever, inspiring us ❤❤😘🧵
Thank you Carole! I will have to check out the capri Burda pattern somewhere else. My local Joann's does not carry Burda. I'm attempting cargos. Hopefully they will work out. I'm excited for the Fall fashions! Happy sewing. 💕💕💕♥♥♥♥🪡🪡🪡
Oh Girl! That blue swirl Jersey knit fabric is amazing... You're giving me ideas!!!😅😅😅. No FGMs??? Do you have to change your settings to get a narrow hem on your serger? You make everything look great!👍🏼
Thank you Zelda! The settings on your serger need to be changed to make a rolled hem. And the rolled hem uses the right needle only. It should be in your user's manual.
Aww! Thank you Susan! I think I'm an average speed sewer. I take longest for fitting, cutting and marking. Sewing is quickest part of the project. Thanks for watching!
Both those are really flattering. My daughter is built like you and we are always looking for flattering styles for her. It so helps to see them on! I am getting back into sewing after too many years and want to skip things that do not work! Following you now!! Carry on and thank you for these videos!
Hi Grace - sorry to ask this again but I. Ant find when you answered me before. Would you mind sharing the info to purchase the clear bags you use to store your patterns? Thank you.

Hi. I remembered you said you like to mention people new to having a sewing channel. There is a young lady I found looking at the UA-cam home page. Her channel is The Frisky Needle. I don't know her but she is sweet and just starting, maybe you would like to check her channel out. Love the fabric you used for the New Look top. They both look great on you. Have a nice day.
Both tops look great on you! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you Mary! You too! Love you!!!
Love your top!. Looks great on you! But then again, everything looks great on you!
😘
Awwww. Thanks Jane! 😘I truly appreciate that. Also, thanks again for the mug. I use it all the time! 💖💖

Beautiful tops ❤❤❤ love them both.
Thank you Chilisa! You need to try them. They are a lot of fun! 🥰💖💖
I love that knot front top!!! That fabric is great and it's the perfect fabric for that pattern!!! I used to love cargo pants!! I can't believe they are coming back hey!!!
Thanks Kris. Yes, cargo pants are everywhere! I gotta find a nice fabric and sew these up! 🥰
It’s still hot here in California too. Both tops are very pretty. I love the way you finished the hem of the flounce on your serger. Very nice. Now I want to go to Hobby Lobby. :)
Thanks so much! 🥰 It's always fun to go to Hobby Lobby too!
Love both tops! Your garments always look great!
Thank you Donna! 🥰 Your garments always look impeccable!
Grace, loved this fun post. My fav is the olive green top, it brings out your green eyes! I like the modeling because it really shows the garment and how it wears and moves. As always great show. ❤️
Thank you Aribella! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have fun modeling the end result! 🥰💖💖

Yes Mary, Fitting part is the most challenging part of sewing. And knowing how much ease to allow is sometimes tricky. Thanks for watching!
Hi Grace, your blouses are gorgeous, but my favorite is the blue swirl fabric. The fit is just perfect on you, the twist hits you in the right place👏👏👏.

No peeking LOL!! I can't wait to see yours. Thank you Sofia.
I bought 6507 from Walmart this summer and never got around to it. After see your shirt, I want to make it now even though it's Fall.
You will love it! It's so easy!!!
Ooh, I have butterick 6899. 😊😊
Your top is beautiful. The rolled hem on the flounce looks great. That is a wide variety of fabrics to choose from.
Thanks Zelda 🥰 Check out Sew-Happy's sew-along for B6899. It's very helpful.
Hi ! Both tops look great on you. I also watch Sew Happy channel. Thank you!
Oh thank you! She has a great channel. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Auset, Go for NL6507. It's really cute and a quick make. I too am trying not to shop for fabric and to sew up my stash. Happy sewing!!! 💕💕💕💕♥♥♥♥
I really like your blue top! Great job!
Thank you! 😊
Both your tops look beautiful on you! Ive been interested in that cargo pant also. Anxious to see how they turn out for you! Great vid as always!!!❤❤
Thanks Trish! Gotta find some fabric for the pants. Hope you are doing well. 💖💖
