In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

wil has been unfairly scored this entire season, but he still takes it and finds humour in it... i didnt know about this man before, but my respect for him has ballooned
I definitely give him a 10 for effort, but I agree it wasn't a "good" prize. It'd be a really fun novelty to win
Wil is a big Taskmaster fan, and it helps that he is really good friends with Tom Gleeson.
@@KyleBaran90 it is true, but so is almost every item that's “seen some shit”. Like, out of all of the prizes I'd want to have Will's prize, because it's funny and I could put it in a bathroom and have a lot of funny conversations with my guests. All others were… meh. Empty shampoo bottle? Ripped toy? Overused shorts? Literal trash. Josh's prize was just a middle of the road, I guess.
Yeah. And Ann and Lloyd are over scored.
tom gleeson is an awful taskmaster. i actively dislike him
"He's really good at following instructions, but he's a _BASTARD_ ."
--Jenny Tian, perfectly explaining the Taskmaster's Assistant
I’ve loved Tom as the assistant thus far; this was the first time I got as angry at him as one can get at Alex.
@@lawrencecalablaster568He asked her to clarify multiple times; I'm afraid that in the case Jenny's got egg on her face
@@bubbledoubletrouble Nonsense. She didn't need to clarify unless he had major brain surgery. Extrapolation is a given for a working brain. The ONLY way you would only break one egg of the dozen you NEEDED to do was on purpose to fail a contestant who asked for your help.
@@BeastOfWarZ but the instructions for the task clearly said the task ends when one egg is broken. So Jenny telling him to basically break one egg at a time and step on it to make sure it was really broken caused the task to end when he followed her instructions. He asked for clarification of her instructions to help her find the error in her instruction. She didn't realize there was an error in her instructions.
@@BeastOfWarZ You seem to be under the mistaken impression that one of Tom's responsibilities is to complete contestants' tasks for them. If you give the Taskmaster's assistant instructions, they will follow said instructions _as they are given_ so if you say break the eggs one at a time they will break the eggs one at a time. Tom was generous in giving her multiple opportunities to change the instructions. What we have here is a failure to understand the parameters of the task.
I genuinely loved Lloyd's stone throwing task. It's just so wholesome. Him absolutely fucking nailing one was just the cherry on top.
I love how Anne and Josh came up with a brilliant technique for the mattress task and then utterly floundered in executing it.
And were already beating the other team even without the technique.
they got a lot of leeway though, they kept making noise with the items, and she didn't guess them through the matelas I would argue..
I love Lesser Tom so much. The look of glee on his face is always a joy, and the little jokes (like the whistle blowing not being a metaphor) are hilarious.
"I thought the task was not to break any eggs-" "-so you broke 8 of them." 😂
"I was in a controlling relationship, where I was in control" 😂
What's even better was the way Lesser Tom nodded along afterwards.
Only Jenny could lose to someone who did the opposite of a task 😭
…at least twice
We love our genius girlfailure.
she needs a certain number ov pats on the head each day...
Josh's "Other Side" task is the hardest I've laughed since the UK task where the guy tied a hot dog to a spinning and he and Alex tried to bite it.
I don’t think any contestant has ever failed as badly while thinking as hard as Jenny. She fails in ways so complex and strange that it’s unlike any contestant I’ve ever seen.
Don’t forget Nina
Ivo Graham?
And with a staggering amount of confidence.
"Am I the spider?"
The "show your other side" task was one of the most unhinged thing I've seen in a while.
At least 2 mental breakdowns.
Some sweeet stone skimming though.
I love the dynamic that gets created by having Lloyd and Ann in the show. And I really don't think that's a different side of Josh but it was amazing so I'm glad it was recognized lol
Josh Motherly side is for me PEAK taskmaster DUMB thinking and i love it *chef kiss*
"I thought the task was to not break any eggs -" "-so you broke 8 of them..." 😂😂 LT is hilarious. Trying to hint to Josh on the sock task last episode was amazing too.
Will's prize task is by far the most commitment anyone has put into a prize in all of international taskmaster. Dude got an unneeded colonoscopy, had to convince a guy to print it on toilet paper, and got him to sign a nondisclosure agreement. Insane levels of commitment, absolutely hilarious.
The Taskmaster: Too literal, 2 points.
😢
Though I won't deny there is some humor in only giving 2 points for such a fantastic effort.
Love this season a lot.
Really really happy we get AU and NZ on here too. They are both so unique and amazing.
I think 1-1-0-0-0 is the harshest point allocation in Taskmaster history for a task that was completed.
Very likely; the only similar occurrence I can think of is when Daisy May Cooper got 1 point and everyone else 0 in the frying pan task, but I think Daisy's was a pity point for being the closest to landing any egg on the pan
Considering the AUS Taskmaster likes to score team tasks more than e.g. the UK one (who rarely gives more than 3 points to the winners), this absolutely should’ve been a 5 point win
@@TheTimTri In the first several series in the UK, Alex wanted Greg to split the team task points between 5, but Greg drifted away from that and since then he has generally done 5 to the winner and whatever to the others. Although the most recent UK series had a few deviations from that.
I love this season so much!!! I'm devastated it's nearly over. The comedic potential of having a couple on the show is truly unmatched.
Whoever is responsible for casting this is a genius!
Can I say that lying down on a mattress and identifying small items underneath is what I thought my approach to the “show off one of your senses” task would be.
I love tasks where you don't think another contestant could do worse but they surprisingly do (egg task).
I like that Wil's feet photos were blurred but not the bowel pic.
I don't think that was a picture of his feet...
I was unsure about Lesser Tom at first, but I'm so glad I've been watching more and more because LT is hilarious
He's the only thing I'm enjoying about this series. I don't enjoy at least four out of five of the contestants and the Taskmaster himself has some questionable judgement in my opinion. But I like Lesser Tom.
He's also a real cutie.
@@SimonMoon5 I have the power to enjoy all of these people. I'm stronger than you.
7:18 Lloyd is the reason every prop must be fabricated of non-toxic materials.
Josh defending Lloyd and getting his score changed to 2 meters is such a legit homie move! Josh is an Australian National Treasure!
But I think Lloyds egg break wasn't done right. It should have only counted the 1st egg that hit the ground (or Couple if they hit same time)
Same as Jenny's task kinda
Don’t care what any television critic says, Taskmaster AU is the best version outside of the original. This crew gets the show.
TMNZ's Paul is the best assistant, though.
@@eyeonus💯
Not really its 1# UK, 2# NS and then 3# AU
I think the NZ contestants are funnier tho Paul is the best assistant
Better than NZ? I respectfully disagree!
HOW did the photo of bowel printed on toilet paper get only 2 points?!?
yeah that was bullshit. that deserved 5 points.I dont really care about the taskmasters outside of the original cause the others feel like they try too hard instead of just having fun and this incident pretty much put me of the AU one aswell. What a shame.
@@ynsan3 I feel like Taskmaster Tom and Will have a relationship where Tom finds it funny to deliberately undermark Will for the prize tasks, but from the audience's perspective it isn't particularly funny.
@@TPH250290 I think it's funny
Any unused toilet paper tachnically hasn't seen any shit.
But his colon, which was printed on the TP, has
29:09 This is the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen on Taskmaster.
I really enjoy Ann and Lloyd in this lineup. Bringing in a couple to compete soups be a recipe for disaster, but instrad its mostly been really sweet.
I love that their relationship doesn't overshadow the other contestants, as well as Anne and Lloyd's individual efforts.
I enjoy so much Ann and Lloyd individually and as a couple
I really hope they inspire the other versions of TM to book couples, siblings, etc. It adds a new dynamic.
The Norwegian version had the Ylvis Brothers together in season 1, and the accuracy with which they would predict each other's moves is wild
Many people didn't enjoy Guy Williams in the NZ version, but as the crazy older sibling who sometimes does dumb shit to support their younger sibling, I loved his crazy over the top performance
I think Lloyd and LT skimming stones together was the purest thing I've seen on Taskmaster since "I'm always seeing you do cool stuff".
for the egg task, if you were somehow able to get 321 km away from the eggs in 12 minutes, you would win the task without needing to break a single egg. that's 1605 km/h, or a fighter jet with afterburner.
The fact that Josh finally wins a task when he doesn’t complete the task at all feels like retribution
The final task was vastly unfair. The team of 2 only had one fan going at a time, meaning 3 throwers only had a singular target. And when it was their turn to blow, they had 2 fans, which was 1 more than the other team, and only had 2 people trying to pop their bubbles.
Remind me again who won that task?
The final task was vastly unfair, the team of three had Jenny.
@@christianboehlefeld5168 That doesn't mean it was fair, which it still wasn't. Had both teams realized the loopholes, the team of 2 would have still been at a severe disadvantage.
Really sweet moment with the plushie there at the end, I think she genuinely cares about it! 🥺
Josh’s motherly side had me crying!😂 I was doubled over laughing🤣🤣🤣
Does the Taskmaster hate Will? He gets so many less points than he should!
Yeah, I said that about the last episode. And a few people were like 'no, it's for comedy', but I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticing that Will consistently gets less points than he should.
fewer
@@mary-kate1724 Just to make sure I wasn't missing something, I checked and they've done appearances together since the show (and Tom Gleeson even was a guest on Wil Anderson's podcast TOFOP). I'm almost positive Wil's in on the joke (and I wonder if he even perhaps asked Tom to score him less because he thought it would be good TV).
The Taskmaster has been in the Aussie comedy scene for a while now, and is good friends with Wil and Josh (who he actually had a panel show with). He tends to judge these people more harshly because he also knows them well.
I feel like based on their interactions it is genuinely in good fun, which is great, because I can think of one person on the British show and one person on the NZ show where it felt like someone was underscored and it was . . . less in good fun. I do wish Wil was getting more points but as long as everyone's having fun 🤷♀️
The way Anne and Lloyd match energy so many times like the prize task on this episode is strangely wholesome lol
I genuinely laughed my ass off (it fell to the ground) when Lesser Tom was trying to open the door.
Lloyd has had so many killer improvised punchlines this series. I'm still not sure why we're not awarding points for that. As Babatunde says, "I'm a comedian!"
Josh's loo roll doll brought back the horror of my childhood. My mom kept one on the back of our toilet and her arms wouldn't stay down. I hated having her behind while I used the toilet. I swore she was going to attack me. 😣
Tom looked like he had way too much fun with the barrel mallet😂
-" To 90 seconds left "
-" I love you too! "
(Totally not jealous of Tom Cashman!)
I wonder if they told Tom to score Will low because he's actually really good at figuring out tasks.
I'm literally nursing my son now while watching Josh's portrayal of Anne 😂
well shoot, I wish they explored more the egg that Lloyd ate. was that actually edible? Was it candy? was it just like wax plastic? i'm confused
I was guessing fondant.
@@ShadowAngel71 ew I'd rather eat plastic
Did I miss something? When did he eat an egg?
@@noneofyourbusiness7055 the big red egg he bit into during the smash the eggs task
They looked like these candies sold in the US around Spring time. I imagine for an Easter treat/basket. It's made of a very thin shell of white or milk chocolate. Obviously it has a stabilizer of sorts to keep it from completely melting. I've seen pastel-colored ones in various sizes (e.g., 4 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches).
I know it was said in jest, but that crack about Josh being funny felt really low. He and Jenny are my two favorites of TMAUS2
I just love how fast anne said yes after tom asked if lloyd was a sneaky guy 😂 lightspeed!
josh and ann was incredible, the gun part 😭 LOL
LMAO the scoring for the live task was incredible!
34:56: SUCH GRACE IN MOVEMENT 🤌
38:16 - For your viewing pleasure. Or if you want to use it as your new desktop background.
I’d watch hours of bubble quidditch.
This series is absolutely wrecking me I was wheeze laughing almost the whole time 🤣
Perfect, i just made a meal and needed something to watch.
Same. And what a wonderful prize task to see right in the middle of eating my sandwich.
There's a new taskmaster episode to watch, screw whatever else I was doing!
I want more Josh and Jenny chasing each other. sibling energy
LOL love how such a good dad lloyd is to lesser tom
I love the “different side of yourself” task! I can only imagine some of the other contestants from TMUK…
Anne and Lloyd cackling in unison is my favorite thing
The introduction from Tom was Epic 😂
13:00 technically Jenny did ask 'could you break ALL of these?' Unfortunately a question is not a command...
I love this season!! The toms the contestants I will need a season 3 with them again please
I just love during the “different side of yourself task” Lloyd just going “my butt? You want to see my butt”
Does that giant hammer thing have a purpose? Like is it an actual tool or just an odd prop? The way it smashed the eggs was so satisfying.
I don't always agree with Tom Gleason's scoring but I enjoy him as a host! Lesser Tom is great :-)
Same! I think people forget (because they love their favourite contestants and want them to win) that the Taskmaster is generally supposed to be a despotic figure making the monkeys dance for their entertainment, so if they allocate the points oddly and on personal whims that's kind of the point
"You were born for this." was so creepy and fucking hilarious
Please add closed captions.❤
I like that they make dedicated team names lol
i don't always agree with greater tom's rulings, but at least he has more of that mean-but-not-cruel energy, while the NZ taskmaster felt too dulled around the edges and sanded down. also, i love paul, but lesser tom is one of my favorite taskmaster assistants ever, even rivalling alex himself (although none can truly beat the og--esp bc none of the TMs i've seen have had the balls to fully replicate or at least replace with its own thing the original unhinged dynamic of greg and alex). his wide-eyed vaguely-unhinged kinda-mean big ol smile as the contestants fuck themselves over is never not funny. and when he breaks and laughs a little too or makes his own jokes it's even funnier. and the contestants are hysterical! i love taskmaster australia
Honestly at 12:59 Jenny does ask lesser Tom to break all the eggs. In her explanation she should have said take each egg and break it this way.
Josh was A+ in this one
almost shed a tear when josh won omg
0:55 so that is something everyone does/knows? xD love it :D
I have an object that has seen some shit (Technically 2):
A dragon (a hard plastic variety called 'Grumpy Dragon') who saw a bear as it tore thru my tent in Boulder, Co. Chances of that bear being a grizzly, 50%. The dragon is a good luck charm. Losing a tent.. not good. Better than losing anything else- like my face. It clawed right where my face would have been.
That is an excellent story to tell people who are about to go camping
Please don't give it away on silly gameshow
Anne and Lloyd bringing each other's stuff for the prize task is both wholesome and disturbing.
God, the Mattress Task Was So Good. XD
That Bloodhound Gang reference was really subtle.
What was it?
@@q-tuber7034 "now you and me baby ain't nothing but 'warm-blooded vertebrates' [...]".
@@kriszfrank thanks! Today I learned there are two Bloodhound Gangs, and one of them watched public television in the 1980s
I started watching this season because of Jenny Tian, but Lesser Tom is the reason why I backtracked to watch S1 and loved it too. I've tried the original and not found it as charming - Tom Cashman makes the show great.
Josh with the Milk and Tom's reaction was the most I ROTFLed during 7 seasons of TM I've watched so far 😂
How does he not get five points for the toilet paper.
The taskmaster hates that guy
That's the joke
Lesser Tom telling Llyod he was "born for this" while wearing that hat gives off some serious Willy Wonka vibes.
Thanks Taskmaster
Wil should've brought in the guy who printed the toilet the paper roll.
i enjoy the characters, but the point judgement part is my least favourite bit of the show (AU). I know it's subjective but i feel like the taskmaster needs to get a better sense of the effort being put in by the participants on some of these tasks. I get it is a comedy show and the points bit shouldnt be taken to serious, but i think it would make the show better if it takes it a bit more serious.
1:18 There you go, thank me with a like
this cast is sooo good together!
I think Jenny is really in love with Tom, she's just not used to showing her romantic side.
33:06 Ouch Ann! Look at this poor man’s reaction!
Straight up Dune references in this house!
This must be the closest LT 😂 got to quitting the show 💀💀
I know they already did an American version of TM but if they take another crack at it I suggest Patrick Warburton and Keegan Michael Key as the lead rolls
"HEY FUN BOY!"
36:30 Was that Wills colon?
Justice for Will.
Give a thousand points to Tom C after that nursing scene even as he is not a contestant!
I love how they censored Will's feet but not his ass.
I would have rated the toilet roll with the colonoscopy printed on it the highest...
I like this cast much more than the current UK season's cast.
Jenny looks so good in this outfit!l and the ponytail, and the safety goggles!
that breast feeding scene was hysterical!
All this second season I'm really having a grape with how Tom Gleeson judges and gives out points on many occasions and it honestly really feels unfair at times. Judging wise, this seems to me like the worst season of all eglish speaking Taskmaster seasons so far.
The comedians and the tasks are pretty awesome though.
Greg is worse with his favouritism and bonus points. Have you forgotten about Hugh? He got treated way worse than Will.
It's a comedy show. Don't take it too seriously.
Reggie Watts 🇺🇸 was much worse
@@BlueManIan I don't. I'm still watching and enjoying. But this point is annoying tbh.
Oh right. I totally didn't even think about the US version. That's in a very different league 😅
@@dontknowdocare I get you and you're not wrong. But to me, it's not just about favoritism. It's the the way the tasks get judged in general that often feels odd, unfair and kind of illogical to me.
