On my varg, 16 38 sprockets, dirt tires. I hit 114mph in one direction and 116 mph in other direction. It overheated and Shorted the motor. I have to replace motor and battery.
Your top speed exactly at the 1/4 mile mark is nice. So it also mean that for top speed run only you could probably get a little higher by installing an even smaller sproket to extend your powerband and get more torque at higher speed before the high RPM cliff. Also for top power ( required for max speed) You WANT YOUR BATTERY TO BE WARM just below the power reduced limit. The higher the battery temp the higher the volt remain under load = more power. So acheive that you could temporary install a blanket on top of the battery side fins to reduce cooling. AND dont forget.. you want a FULL BATTERY for top speed. Another trick to warm up your battery quick: make couple high power /demand runs , wait 5 minutes and fully charge it, then make your top speed run. Dont ask me why I really know these Varg battery😉

I've been riding Crotch Rockets for 27years and I've had some close calls. Back in1992 i just planted my feet at a red like and got rear ended from a car doing 30 or 35 mph and i had on all my riding gear and was able to walk away if i wouldn't of had it on i would of been going to the hospital so riding gear is so very important. I have the Talaria Sting R (MX4) and want to know from you guys what is the absolute cheapest, most easiest install and reliable way to get my bike close to going 90mph? What Motor, contoller and battery should I get or if I can get away without having to buy a new motor?
They have a race with the Tommybike V's the Stark Varg coming up real soon... A lot of people are saying the Varg will smoke Tommy's bike, but I'm not so sure, either way my guess is it'll be very close.

IF the goal is ultimate top speed, try even more gearing, maybe a larger front sprocket or bigger back wheel or whatever it takes to get a taller gear. The stock KTM 500exc would do right about 100mph and it was roughly half the power of the stark, and probably similar aerodynamics. So I'm guessing you're not power limited yet, maybe just RPM limited. It probably would not be as much fun to ride in that super tall gear configuration though..

Not impressive for an 80hp bike. I had a ktm supermoto making 58 - 60hp to the wheel and it would run 113 top speed and 102 in the 1/4.
