The stark vibrates a lot less, so that likely contributes to why he feels smoother and faster on it.
Oh yeah for sure
And the fact it has 30hp more than the 450.
He had the bike in mode 3…maybe 45 HP
@@2wheels1love21 What mode he's in doesn't mean shit. What hp/regen it's set at does. Every stark has 5 modes & probably all of them are different. My mode 2/3/4 are all set at 50hp, just different regen.
@@Marleysdad808 that’s cool.
That small difference could be way over 10+ seconds of time on a full mx track over a full race.
It’s interesting how history repeats itself, electric is to gas what a 4 stroke is to a 2 stroke, more rideable, smoother, and heavier. Only difference is electric and 2 strokes have more power potential
I agree👌
imagine how good the stark varg and other bikes are going to be in say 10 years
@@cylo1859 it’s insane, they could make 100+hp and last much longer on a charge, plus weigh less
@@da5863 how the hell would they do that? its already almost unridable at 80 HP, and like what? carbon fiber? its going to shatter on a huge jump. Adding a massive battery is just gonna make it weight over like 350 pounds just to keep up with desert tanks. Also gas bikes can do that too, you know like make more horsepower.
Batteries are the bottleneck. If we can get around 4-6x the energy density from a battery everyone would already have an electric dirt bike.
Both killer bikes....but only one has a beating heart
meaningless
That means it’s easier to kill
You know electric impluses make heart beat?
So rad seeing more and more people realize how sick electric is for motocross. I've been on E since 2018. Even modern 450's feel ancient after riding a Stark or Alta.
Gonna open more ohv parks and tracks possibly
He’s back no way
Anyone there insane vid props to Josh’s riding
The KTM can do that all day long, as long as you bring enough gas.
You have to take the Stark Varg home to charge it after two hours of riding time.
Not really. My buddies bring their inverter generators to the track and give it a full charge while they groom the track at lunch time. At Okechobee you get to ride MX1 or MX2 track for 15 mins per session and you have 30mins in between, that is more than enough time to get a decent charge with the 220v connect it comes with. These are guys that also bring their gas bikes for the fun as well. I ordered mine, but I'll keep my KTM 450 Factory Edition to rip as well.
Reckon I use less fuel powering my generator over a day and keeping my stark running than using an ice bike, so I think I could outlast an ice bike on 5l of petrol
The death of all motor sports. The dentist drill! ZZZzssss!
Those are air powered
🤣🤣🤣
Let me call you a waaaaahhhhhmbulance
Love seeing the Stark, like most of us I am fascinated by the Stark.
Love it, thank you for the review. I have 35 hours on mine and loving it. Still love my gas bikes for hard enduro, but for fast single track, the Varg is more fun !!
Needs cards in the spokes or something. Just a wrong cheesy sound. Maybe a blue tooth speaker with real engine sound lol
I think to me, "maintenance " or replacing battery. Is where you spend more.
Great riding there. Consistent and fast. Really interesting back to back time comparisons.
So useful.
so from what he says without saying it was the stark would use less body energy to controll as the trottle range is more responsive? one question no one asks them is what feels like if its less strenuious to ride.
Very cool comparison!
gimme the ktm if u like stark varg more 😭
Do what you got to do if⚡ is your thing there's just something about having an engine beneath your legs or in the car or truck you're driving... Electric will NEVER do that
i own a tesla and a cybertruck. if i had to listen to that electric motorcycle for more than 5 seconds i would go crazy.
Was he riding the stark full power?
Go pro, cornering on the stark is huge difference
But, need a two stroke speaker. 😂
without sound... is not the same vib.. exhaust and engine is hlf the fun
Those trees 😨
eMC is much easier to ride smooth and faster - no noise is Great also - Way More Fun -
Whats the fox kit your wearing?
I’ll never get a dirtbike without a clutch screw that
Ignorance is a bliss. I tried it and its so much better. Stark varg is too mcuh fun.
@@farbrornilsson9709 I swear yall are like bots hired by stark.
@@BallBiter56 So you're a bot because you love a bike?
@@farbrornilsson9709 bro you're just trying to force electric on people. That's not liking a bike anymore, that's just advertising
@@BallBiter56 Not really. I love gas bikes too, I'll probably get a KX450 aswell but since gas bikes needs tons of more maintenance i can ride the Varg when the gas bike needs work. I don't force electric to anyone i just prefer electric since i can ride when i want and wherever i want. Aswell as i got more power too. A week ago i couldn't sleep so i went out for a trail ride a 3AM. Good luck starting up a gas bike in your neighbourhood at 3AM. The biggest problem with you is that you have hate towards something you don't really grasp. You just hate the bike out of principle. You don't really have a reason to hate the bike. I know you would love the bike if you tried it but you will remain pissed because you feel that you are right and i am wrong. I love trying new things. I dont abandon what i've liked earlier because i try new things.
As always: aside from competition electric isn't a real option for years. Because you cannot change your batteries every half an hour of spirited ride. And recharging is way too slow or even way too expensive, considering fast charging is a real battery muncher.
Stark vargs are so cool but I still prefer the good old petrol powered dirt bike but anyway grate vid I love watching them don’t ever stop pls 😊
Main issue is run time. For the riding I do the stark would not make sense.
Have you actually ridden a stark ?
@@Ozfreerider_adventures yes I have actually and don’t get me wrong I loved it but I still love the old petrol dirt bikes over the stark varg just cause they have been around longer and I don’t exactly trust the reliability with the stark varg but so far stark vargs are slowly crawling to the top of my list in favourite bikes
@@ThrillridersMX well I can appreciate that you have ridden one and are making an informed comment . I’ve seen SO man people say how crap and stupid they are but they havnt ridden them . I’ve had mine for a few months and for me i it makes gas bikes feel so outdated and to be honest stupid to ride ! I rode a friends brand new 450 ktm back to back with it and the ktm vibrates like crazy and feels so goofy going back to changing gears . The game as been elevated so much that I’m not ever going back now
@@Ozfreerider_adventures I can agree to that
What track is that ? Great video btw
Another cool video! Back to back comparisons are a great way to get a feel for the different characteristics of each bike. Cool you added lap times too! The Varg is such a different riding experience with instant acceleration and the simplicity of throttle and brake only!
Wow this was incredible, perfect way to test each bike man and well done with the editing. Geez l actually want an electric motorbike. Never thought id say that 😂

Stark Varg is such a beast, I would love to see more people buying and riding it.
ok I mean everyone talks about the stark for like big bike racing but how do you all want to get rid of gas bikes even though that would get rid of 125 class, 85 class, 65 class, all kids bikes, 250 class, like that the hell do yall think this is, 450s only? also desert riding, that thing is going to die in less than 3 hours. Yall don't even consider other possiblites. Besides the zero maintenence, I see no reason to buy a stark for me at least. I do long trail rides where the varg would have easily died, maintenence for me is kinda just part of dirt biking, and wow its almost like you don't need all that torque when the 450 has enough to do pretty much anything. Like come on tell me how this is going to work all you "its the future" people.
I never want to get rid of gas dirt bikes lol. Just filmed a video of my friend on his new stark 👍🏼
Yea no problem with that, I am just saying like the comments on this video is just a ton of people that want to get rid of gas.
No one wants to get rid of ice bikes, this is something different, that's all. There are people out there that don't ride 3 hour trails and don't need that range and want to have fun on a bike with less noise and different bike dynamics, that's all. No one's coming after your ice trail riding pass times.
hi, how many horsepower were you driving it with?
Another Day aaaannoottthheerr Derek Hallman W (Day 42)
Stark varg in swedish is strong wolf
what is a cheap bike for a beginner?
I recommend a Huffy or Mongoose
yz 125
Ktm 500exc very slow and cheap for starters
MAICO 700 2 stroke enduro
Im the biggest petrol head but man these electric bikes are so fun ive got a couple talarias and they are so much fun dude
They offer a totally different riding experience for sure. Wicked fun!
Çok iyi makina KTM
How tall are you? I’m 5’6
stark hella good. ktm hella good
Remember when you were a little kid, and you had an RC car which gave so much fun for a few minutes but just as you found a cool hill climb or jump the battery started to run down and you had to hook it up to a charger for a couple hours. Later you discovered nitro/petrol cars and were blown away with the fact it seemed to run at full power right up until it was out of juice. It felt like cheating when it did eventually run out and you just had to add a squirt of liquid to continue where you left off. Yeah, we're still there in 2024 except the RC cars and bikes are full scale.
Difference is the nitro ones are hell to keep going right, electric just wants new batteries and doesn't go wrong. That's how I feel about both bikes and RC lol
Yeah, those 7.2v 1000mah NiCad batteries sucked. Now you can run 5000mah 11.1 LiPo 's that'll give you 20 times the run time. Same will come for this & other bikes. New battery tech is just around the corner.
Wow they just gotta fix the range problem on the electric ones.
Maybe not comparable since this is slower enduro run but... ua-cam.com/video/Gbb97fP9tt4/v-deo.html&t

Very preciese
The bike is cool but you get what, 30 minutes? I only last about 15 so I would get 2 motos out of it! lol
Everyone's mileage will vary. At the track I ride every weekend where it is deep ripped heavy loam, I can do2 x 20 min sessions ser at 55hp map, and the battery will run down to about 20%. At home on my natural terain hardpack track, on a 48 hp map, I easily get an hour and a half out of it till its down to about 20%.
At another commercial track I sometimes ride, that is basically half tilled sandy loam and the other half concrete hard clay wih black rubber marks all over it and a lot of big floaty jumps, I recently did 2 x 20 min motos and still had 43 % battery left.
Battery range depends on a lot of factors. I love the varg and my other bikes are gathering cob webs
@philiprourke7732 that's awesome! I'm glad you like it, and thanks for the detailed info! If I had a few back yard tracks I would have one myself! But I live in the city so that dream is dead. I mostly ride track but occasionally I like to hit the trails so an ebike wouldn't work for me. I guess if I brought a generator to the track it might work.. how long would it take for a portable generator to charge it up for another moto? Or maybe I could let my trucks altinator charge it up with a DC-DC charger. Hmm now you got me thinking 🤔
@@DOO718 I only have a 2..2 kv inverter generator, a cheap one and not very powerful, but I take it to the track with me now because Ive only been riding the Varg lately.
It can only charge the varg at 4 amps. The charge rate is adjustable in the app between 2 and 10 amps, with 10amps obvioubeing a faster charge.
But at 4 amps charging from my little generator I go ride for 15 to 17 mins with a full battery on the deep lam track, come back with about 71% battery, put it on the gen until mynext sessin is up and thats about 50 mins or so and its back up to around 93% go out and do it again...iff I keep doing that I get about 4 sessins in and Im done and the battery is still in the 60% range..so I really dont need to do that..could probably get my 4 sessions in for the day with one charge of about 50 mins duration.
At that other track I mentioned, I would probably get an hourofriding time and Id be done without needing to charge through the day..as I saud , everyones milage will vary.
I got a test ride on a Varg at my local heavy loam track maybe 6 months b4 mine arrived. It was set at 52 hp, I rode for 14 mins and used 37% battery, was thinking range was likely gonna be an issue for me at this track..Im a track worker there and ride there pretty much every time its open.
Just b4 my bike arrived, stark announced an update that they were claiming was gonna add an extra 10 to 15 % battery range on average.
When my bike came, I installed the update b4 riding it , so apart from that 1 test on the demo bike, I have no base of reference. But...I remember I used 37% in 14 mins at 52 hp..I made a note of that.
On that same track, Im using around 30% in about 16 mins at 55 hp and running a much faster pace that it was possible for me to do on that quick demo test.
So it does seem that it does last longerafter that update.
This weekend Im racing it for the first time in mx1 c class..3 x 15 min + 1 motos , I will be locked in at 60hp in the race mode on the app....its a hard pack track after the first round of motos.
I will take my generator and put it on charge after moto 1 , then see what its got left after moto 2, probably wont need any extra charge..I guess I will find out
Could someone please explain how this stark varg is not gas powered thanks alot for you help.
It’s powered by the tears of 4 stroke riders
@@undrwrldsk8fred which is why the range is so short. Not enough of them.
Because it has an electric motor dude. We are not speaking environmental shit here, we speak about riding bikes. Your welcome.
What type of a dirtbike do you guys recommend for a beginner rider?
You first have to figure out what you're going to use it for. Are you going to motocross or trail ride, there is a difference. Then, just pick any inexpensive, well maintained bike.
Can the Varg complete a moto? Can it complete a qualifier and a main. If not, it's junk.
Ok thank you for the information! 😊

here in the first 3 minutes!
Don't ride 40hp, use 80 all da way.
i really wanted to start my own youtube channel where i post riding videos like these but i dont know what to start, so i came to you. do you have any advice?
Does revving the electric motor like that make a difference when he is jumping? Think super cross or Moto will make it if they all went electric? 😂
it makes the bike flip in air if you blip the throttle
Electric for the soul, take a ride! ☝ 4f for racing!👍👊
Second
Electric sux, period.
They suck or you just can’t afford it?
Jk i don’t see why anyone would want to ride a motocross bike that doesn’t have the 2stroke smell filling the stadium or the thumping of the 4 strokes. Lol imagine going to a super cross with electric bikes just all quiet
Facts are they preform better
It really depends on what kinda riding u wanna do

Interesting video, he is obviously a very good rider. I think that good riders are closer in speed between a varg and their combustion bike than slow riders are. The Varg is so much easier to ride than other bikes and it makes less skilled riders faster, sometimes a lot faster. I am exactly that rider..I feel more in control on the varg and ride with much better body position and stand more, because I don't have to use my clumsy feet for anything, I have the hand brake and that works so much better for je than I can even describe.
Funnily enough, as well as my Varg, I also have a KTM 450sxf, bought it brand new about 2 months b4 my Varg arrived, thinking I would just enjoy having another differnt bike and I haven't had a 450 for some time now. I also have a KTM 300sx, a YZ 250 a YZ 125.actually 2 of them...a 2013 YZ 250f and a fully built and set up KTM super mini.
I have st8ll not ridden the new 450, in fact Ive never even started it.
I mainly ride 2 sessions on my ktm 300 then 2 on my Varg, but I just can't do it anymore, I have to force myself to ride the ktm and its just not fun!
The problem is that I can plant the balls of my feet on the pegs, toies pointed in and correct body position on the Varg and do it easily! I just can't do that on my 300, shifting and braking are a nightmare now unless I just give up on ever trying to stay on my toes and just ride on my arches all the time...but the Varg has really woken me up to how bad that is. Im too old to be bothered putting the work to make my feet woork the way good riders do these days..it's just so much easier to just ride the Varg and enjoy the benefits of no shifting and no foot brake
And when you’re 70 and have no feeling in your feet….. you buy a Stark and keep on MXing!
@@larryhanes8527 yeah exactly...I will be 60 in a little over a year, and this bike will certainly keep me out there on the track having fun for years to come. My ankles are rubbish...this bike negates the problem in avery big way
