The follow light is great if you have several people in a hunting group and you want to see the direction someone is walking. You can tell if they are going left, right, towards you, or away from you based on White vs Red. Also when you are tracking a deer it helps to tell where you are with respect to others to ensure grid searches are consistent. I also have used mine to hang on a limb above first blood or the downed animal to be able to go directly to it where as the White light is so bright you don't get a pinpoint spot to walk to.

I gotcha I generally hunt alone so that wouldn't really interest me having a light back there but putting it up at the blood trail if you had to come back makes a lot of sense and it would make sense for grid searching also if you did hunt with multiple people. That's why I like people being able to leave comments bc everyone hunts different and you can always learn something new. Thanks a lot man.

@@chickamaugabowhunter2067 another really cool trick is to take a laser pointer into your stand and fix it so it is pointing where your deer was standing when you shot so you find blood faster. I put it on a camera mount clamped to a limb or my stand.

You dont have to remove the battery to recharge, you can just leave it in and recharge. Also its a fixed flood light and usually lasts on a lower power fine so just need to not have it cranked on high all the time. Meh its been great and cheap too all things considered, been really liking it so far.

Bro that's a big mis lead on the lumens. Crazy. I'd carry the other as a backup and to trackblood with at night if needed. It's noticeably brighter.

So its not a flood beam

@@PolarBearXx it's more of a flood than a spot light. Lasts a long time on the red light but the white light on it kills the battery really fast. Honestly it killed it so fast I just ran my swisstech headlamp all season and only used the coast when I got to the tree on the red light function and I keep it turned as dim as it will go. The Swisstech is a much better longer lasting light I just wish it had a red light like the coast. I thought with the coast not zooming in to a spot light it would last a while but mine hasn't at all that white light just eats up the battery.

@@PolarBearXx for the 30 dollar price range I'd look at the swisstech one with the purple blood tracking light. It's way brighter and you can zoom it in to a spot or out to flood and it lasts way longer. Just my opinion. Only reason I bought the coast is bc a couple of the purple blood tracking LED lights went out on my swisstech but other than that it's still perfect after 2 seasons. The coast just doesn't last near as long either battery wise. Just my 2 cents lol. It's a little heavier but better built I think. I never even use the brightest setting on the swisstech either the dimmer setting is ridiculously bright
