    This man gives a detailed narrative of his experience with PTSD. I feel that if there could have been an effort to rehabilitate him he would still be serving the nation.

      @@Wambundo put it into context of going into the theatre of war and then almost dying. Google PTSD, domestic violence, robberies, car jacking, accidents, rapes, child abuse, bullying, riots and a lot of other stressful situations can induce PTSD. You can belittle an experience without understanding it in a real world context.

    As a civilian fascinated and proud of our military, is there anything I/we can do to alleviate the plight of our soldiers battling PTSD? I feel it would be great to give back to them for their sacrifice. Many thanks for their service, God bless.

    so true.am a former kdf and i was discharged wrongfully and my mate also died coz of medical problems caused by the airforce. kenya most soldiers have been wrongfully discharged.

Today, we are sending the memorandum for the Military Veterans Bill 2022. We have been having sensitization, consultating and building consensus around it since the public participation invite was published. It's an ongoing process, reach us to get involved.

    I used to hate my Dad for being violent to my mum ,being a drunkerd everyday after being discharged from the kdf i gause he was undergoing PTSD and we don't know ,I shuld talk to him now .But the government shuld do something for the veterans people get discharged from the force and there families carry the whole burden without even a thank u for what they were doing to the government

    I thought being in the army was all about teamwork.But after Gitumbe has explained what he went through after that incedent and how his collegues treated him I am so dissapointed.I was planing to enroll for the army this year but I'd rather live struggling.I can't believe that we have stupid beings calling themselves disciplined.What a shame

    Am amazed why the algorithm fed me this after two years since the episode aired, but I have reasons to believe due to the head injury he had, his frontal lobe was affected, hence explaining inability to control emotions then, impulsiveness, and being a spendthrift. I strongly believe he should have been treated better

    Our men in uniform are constantly making sacrifice to an extent of losing their lives or normal state.They suffer in silence.There should be laws passed that allow them to serve in other departments after service.They are an important resource.
