Camping In Abandoned Ghost Town Campground - Halloween Special

  • I took a beautiful wife with me and we found a ghost town to camp in that was actually called Steveville Alberta! We hunkered down with temperatures dropping to -16 Celsius or 3.2 Fahrenheit. Had some spooky dinner, some exploring, and lots of nice warm sleep. The area was close to dinosaur provincial park, and actually I think the campground was technically inside the park boundary. Happy Halloween!!

I do live alone but fortunately I do so entirely by choice. I value my free time and freedom. The main reason why I pause the video when Steve cooks is because the food talk and visual reminds me that I'm hungry so I get to fixing that. BERGY, it's all good bro, I figured that's what you meant. And Undisputed Jackhole, who made you the Gatekeeper of Camping? I watch this channel primarily because Steve seems like a cool dude, the nature scenes are just an additional draw. As far as I'm concerned the blow torch is a comedic prop.

Years ago when I was just a wee lad, I drove out to a Desert ghost town called Bodie.
It was just me and my dog, who’s name happened to be Bodie as well.
As night fell I cooked a meager meal and prepared to hunker down for the night while eating my dinner.
It was about this time that a dozen or so of my favorite coyote friends decided to try to share my dinner with me and my pup. It got really western, really quick.
Long story short, I finished my dinner on top of my landcruiser and we slept inside of it for the night.
    Coyotes are such assholes.

Steve, gotta hassle you and beautiful (but invisible) wife regarding your outlook on Spam. Koreans love Spam. I'm a first generation Korean immigrant who grew up camping every weekend. One meal on every camping outing would be fried Spam (sliced and fried to a nice golden crunch on each side), rice and kimchee. This is my camping soul food. Thanks for all the great videos!

I've never met a Canadian either and you represent your countrymen well. You guys have a reputation for being pretty chill and civil. I can really appreciate that in a person. I would love to visit Canada and camp in some of the wilderness up there but I live in the southern United States and that would be a trip I couldn't take on a carpenters pay.
