I have a project 73 mach 1. It was originally pewter. I was going back and forth about how I wanted to paint it, and I think this video has settled it for me. Sparkly metalic ivy green with black stripes and hood. That thing looks slick.
Ahhhh someone was paying attention. In Brooklyn, people ‘axe’ a question when everyone else ‘asks’ a question. In Boston they don’t ‘park a car’, they ‘Pahhk a cahh’. I guess in the Midwest the ‘Console’ in between the front seats of a car is a ‘Counsel’...perhaps it provides advice to Midwesterners as they drive down the road?? Funny all the same, moreso because I’m from Florida, everybody here is from somewhere else we’re so confused we can’t even count votes....Beautiful Mach 1 though, ( to be more on topic )!
Michael Marks I wasn’t saying you were the one that needs to learn how to speak. I was commenting that the 2 posting the video do. Sorry for the confusion. I meant no disrespect to you.
Was curious if this Mach 1 had the the Windsor built engine or the Cleveland. I had the same year , same color with the Windsor & added the Cragars like this one but no spoilers front or rear. Wish i still had it.
Cosmetically not a lot. In 1972 the gas cap changed from a pop open to a twist open cap which continued in 1973. In 1973 the front grill changed from horizontal turn signals to vertical turn signals, the stripe package was completely different, and the front and rear bumpers also changed and protruded a lot more from the body of the car to comply with crash regulations. 1971 you could still get the big block 429 which was not available after that. In 1973 you got the fasten seat belt light on top of the passenger glove box.
I had a 73 same color you are driving. I loved that car. Wish I still had it
Not very often do you see a nice green car , this is one good looking car.

Michael Marks I’m from the Midwest and I cannot stand when people call it a “council”. Learn how to speak!
ghaasl78 Why should I ‘Learn how to speak’? I’m not the one calling it a ‘council’, or a ‘ counsel’, Learn how to comprehend what your reading.

ghaasl78 All good. No worries.
Had one back in the late seventies trade it in because it was a rust bucket cost too much to repair it

Curious what it sold for ...and when.

Is the hood supposed to give a lot of resistance when opening?
Was the rear wing installed reverse ? It looks a bit off
It’s a ok Ford!

I was born in Greene
that green is highly-cool .. engine and carb should be red ..
Not a paint imperfection on that door, that's rust brotha
That would be to 3.50 gear if 9in rear
Unfortunately it's a '73.
